1 Kings 8
1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.
१इस्राएलमधील सगळी वडिलधारी मंडळी, सर्व घराण्यांचे प्रमुख आणि वंशातील मुख्य यांना राजा शलमोनाने आपल्याबरोबर यरूशलेम येथे यायला सांगितले. दावीद नगरातून म्हणजे सियोनेतून वरती परमेश्वराच्या कराराचा कोश मंदिरात आणण्यासाठी त्यांना त्याने बोलावले.
2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves to king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
२तेव्हा इस्राएलाची सर्व मंडळी शलमोन राजासमोर एकत्र आली. तेव्हा एथानीम हा वर्षाचा सातवा सनाचा माहिना चालू होता.
3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
३इस्राएलची सर्व वडिलधारी मंडळी एकत्र जमली. मग याजकांनी परमेश्वराचा पवित्र कराराचा कोश उचलला.
4 And they brought the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring.
४त्याबरोबरच दर्शनमंडप, परमेश्वराचा कोश, तेथील सर्व पवित्र पात्रे लेवींनी व याजकांनी वरती वाहून नेली.
5 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.
५राजा शलमोन व इस्राएलचे सर्व लोक कराराच्या कोशासमोर आले. तेथे त्यांनी अनेक बली अर्पण केले. तेथे त्यांनी इतकी गुरे मेंढरे अर्पिली की त्यांची मोजदाद करता येणे शक्य नव्हते.
6 And the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.
६मग याजकांनी परमेश्वराचा तो कराराचा कोश आतल्या दालनात ठेवला. मंदिरातील परमपवित्र गाभाऱ्याच्या आत करुबांच्या पंखाखाली तो ठेवला.
7 For the cherubim spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its staffs above.
७करुबांचे पंख पवित्र कराराच्या कोशावर पसरलेले होते. कोश आणि त्याचे दांडे पंखांनी झाकलेले होते.
8 And they drew out the staffs, that the ends of the staffs were seen out in the holy place before the inner sanctuary, and they were not seen outside: and there they are to this day.
८हे दांडे इतके लांब होते की परमपवित्र गाभाऱ्यापुढच्या भागात उभे राहणाऱ्यालाही त्यांची टोके दिसत. बाहेरुन पाहणाऱ्याला मात्र ती दिसत नसत. हे दांडे अजूनही तेथे आहेत.
9 There was nothing in the ark except the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
९कराराच्या कोशाच्या आत दोन पाट्या होत्या. होरेब येथे मोशेने हे पेटीच्या आता ठेवले होते. इस्राएली लोक मिसर देशातून बाहेर पडल्यावर होरेब या ठिकाणी परमेश्वराने त्यांच्याबरोबर करार केला होता.
10 And it came to pass, when the priests had come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
१०परमपवित्र गाभाऱ्यात पवित्र कराराचा कोश ठेवल्यावर याजक तेथून बाहेर पडले, त्याबरोबर परमेश्वराचे मंदिर मेघाने व्यापले.
11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
११परमेश्वराच्या तेजाने मंदिर भरुन गेले, व मेघामुळे याजकांना उभे राहता येईना.
12 Then spoke Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
१२तेव्हा शलमोन म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर म्हणाला आहे की, मी निबीड अंधारात वस्ती करीन.
13 I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
१३परंतु तुला युगानुयूग राहण्यासाठी, हे मंदिर मी तुझ्यासाठी बांधले आहे.”
14 And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel were standing; )
१४इस्राएल लोकांकडे वळून राजाने त्यांना आशीर्वाद दिला, तेव्हा ती सर्व मंडळी उठून उभी राहीली.
15 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
१५तो म्हणाला, “इस्राएलाचा परमेश्वर देव धन्य असो! माझे वडिल दावीद यांना म्हटल्याप्रमाणे त्याने स्वत: च्या हाताने ते पूर्ण केले परमेश्वर माझ्या वडिलांना म्हणाला,
16 Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel from Egypt, I have chosen no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be in it; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
१६माझ्या इस्राएली प्रजेला मी मिसरमधून बाहेर आणले. पण या वंशातील कुठलेही नगर मी अजून माझे नाव राखण्यासाठी माझे मंदिर उभारण्यासाठी निवडले नाही. तसेच इस्राएल लोकांचा नेता म्हणून अजून कोणाची निवड केली नाही. पण आता माझा जेथे सन्मान होईल असे यरूशलेम हे नगर मी निवडले आहे, आणि इस्राएल लोकांचा अधिपती म्हणून मी दाविदाची निवड केली आहे.”
17 And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
१७इस्राएलाच्या परमेश्वर देवाच्या सन्मानार्थ मंदिर बांधावे असे, माझे वडिल दावीद यांच्या फार मनात होते.
18 And the LORD said to David my father, Though it was in thy heart to build an house to my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart.
१८पण परमेश्वर माझे वडिल दावीद यांना म्हणाला, “माझ्या नामासाठी मंदिर उभारण्याची तुझ्या मनातील इच्छा मी जाणून आहे, अशी इच्छा तू बाळगलीस ते चांगले आहे.
19 Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house to my name.
१९पण तुझ्या हस्ते हे मंदिराचे काम होणार नाही, तर तुझ्या पोटी जो पुत्र होईल तो माझ्या नामासाठी हे मंदिर बांधील.
20 And the LORD hath performed his word that he spoke, and I have risen in the stead of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
२०परमेश्वर जे वचन बोलला ते त्याने खरे करून दाखवले आहे. आता माझे वडिल दावीद याच्या गादीवर मी आलो आहे. इस्राएलाच्या परमेश्वर देवासाठी हे मंदिरही मी बांधले आहे.
21 And I have set there a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them from the land of Egypt.
२१त्यामध्ये पवित्र कराराच्या कोशासाठी एक जागा करवून घेतली आहे. त्या कोशामध्ये परमेश्वराने आपल्या पूर्वजांना मिसरमधून बाहेर आणले, तेव्हा केलेला तो करार यामध्ये आहे.”
22 And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:
२२शलमोन परमेश्वराच्या वेदीपुढे उभा राहिला व इस्राएलाच्या सर्व मंडळीसमोर दोन्ही हात आकाशाच्या दिशेने पसरले,
23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:
२३तो म्हणाला, हे इस्राएलाच्या परमेश्वर देवा, तुजसमान दुसरा कोणी आकाशात किंवा पृथ्वीतलावर नाही. तू हा करार केलास, कारण तुझे आमच्यावर प्रेम आहे. तू आपला करार पाळतोस, जे सेवक तू दाखवलेल्या मार्गाने जातात त्यांच्याविषयी तू दयाळू आणि एकनिष्ठ असतोस.
24 Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him: thou didst speak also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thy hand, as it is this day.
२४माझे वडिल दावीद या आपल्या सेवकाला तू वचन दिलेस, आणि ते खरे करून दाखवलेस. आपल्या मुखाने तू वचन दिलेस आणि तुझ्याच हाताने ते पूर्ण केले आहे; अशी आज वस्तुस्थिती आहे.
25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; provided thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
२५माझ्या वडिलांना दिलेली इतर वचनेही हे इस्राएलाच्या देवा, परमेश्वरा, तू खरी करून दाखव तू म्हणाला होतास, दावीद, तुझ्याप्रमाणेच तुझ्या मुलांनीही माझा मार्ग अनुसरला, तर तुमच्या घराण्यातील पुरूषांची परंपरा कधीही खुंटावयाची नाही, एकजण नेहमी इस्राएलाच्या राजासनावर राहील.
26 And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou didst speak to thy servant David my father.
२६परमेश्वरा, इस्राएलाच्या देवा, हा माझे वडिल दाविदाला दिलेला शब्दही खरा ठरु दे अशी माझी प्रार्थना आहे.
27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have built?
२७पण परमेश्वरा, तू खरोखरच पृथ्वीवर राहशील का? हे विस्तीर्ण आकाश आणि स्वर्ग यातही तू मावत नाहीस. तेव्हा हे मी बांधलेले मंदिरही तुझ्यासाठी कसे पुरेल!
28 Yet have thou respect to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken to the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee this day:
२८पण कृपाकरून माझी प्रार्थना व कळकळीची विनंती ऐक. मी तुझा सेवक आणि तू माझा परमेश्वर देव आहेस. आजची ही माझी प्रार्थना ऐक.
29 That thy eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken to the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
२९माझ्या नावाचा निवास याठिकाणी होईल, असे ज्या ठिकाणाविषयी तू म्हटले त्या या ठिकाणाकडे रात्रंदिवस या मंदिराकडे तुझी दृष्टी असू दे, जी प्रार्थना तुझा सेवक या स्थळाकडे तोंड करून करीत आहे ती ऐक.
30 And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
३०परमेश्वरा, इस्राएलाचे सर्व लोक आणि मी इथे येऊन तुझी प्रार्थना करू तेव्हा त्या प्रार्थना ऐक. तुझे वास्तव्य स्वर्गात आहे हे आम्हास माहित आहे. तेथे त्या तुझ्या कानावर पडो आणि तू आम्हास क्षमा कर.
31 If any man shall trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thy altar in this house:
३१जर एखादया व्यक्तीने आपल्या शेजाऱ्याविरूद्ध काही अपराध केल्यास त्यास शपथ घ्यावयास लावल्यास व या तुझ्या वेदीसमोर घेतली.
32 Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
३२तेव्हा ती तू स्वर्गातून ऐकून निवाडा कर. जर तो अपराधी असेल तर त्यास त्याप्रमाणे शिक्षा कर. आपल्या सेवकाचा न्याय करून दुष्टास दुष्ट ठरव व त्याची कृत्ये त्याच्या माथी येवो आणि धार्मिकास निर्दोष ठरवून त्याच्या निर्दोषतेप्रमाणे त्यास बक्षिस देऊन त्याचे समर्थन कर.
33 When thy people Israel shall be smitten before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication to thee in this house:
३३जेव्हा इस्राएल लोकांचा तुझ्याविरूद्धच्या पापामुळे शत्रूंच्या हातून पराभव होईल व ते त्यांच्या पापापासून मागे फिरतील, तुझ्या नावाने पश्चाताप करतील, प्रार्थना विनंती करून या मंदिरात क्षमा मागतील;
34 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again to the land which thou gavest to their fathers.
३४तेव्हा स्वर्गातून तू त्यांचे ऐक, तुझे लोक इस्राएल यांच्या पापाची क्षमा कर आणि जो देश तू त्यांच्या पूर्वजांना देऊ केला त्यामध्ये त्यांना तू परत आण.
35 When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
३५त्यांनी तुझ्याविरूद्ध पाप केल्यामुळे आकाशकपाटे बंद झाली व पाऊस पडला नाही. तेव्हा ते जर या ठिकाणाकडे तोंड करून तुझी प्रार्थना करतील व तुझे नाव कबूल करतील व तू दीन केल्यामुळे तुझ्याकडे वळतील,
36 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou mayest teach them the good way in which they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
३६तेव्हा स्वर्गातून इस्राएली लोक व तुझे सेवक त्यांची विनवणी ऐकून त्यांच्या पापांची क्षमा कर. त्यांना योग्य मार्गाने चालायला शिकव, आणि परमेश्वरा, तू त्यांना वतन म्हणून दिलेल्या भूमीवर पाऊस पडू दे.
37 If there shall be in the land famine, if there shall be pestilence, blighting, mildew, locust, or if there shall be caterpiller; if their enemy shall besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague, whatever sickness there shall be;
३७कधी जमीन ओसाड होऊन त्यावर कोणतेही पीक येणार नाही, किंवा एखादा साथीचा रोग पसरेल. कधी टोळधाड, भेरड, घुली येऊन सगळे पीक फस्त करतील. कधी शत्रूच्या हल्ल्याला काही ठिकाणचे लोक बळी पडतील, किंवा एखाद्या दुखण्याने लोक हैराण होतील.
38 Whatever prayer and supplication shall be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:
३८असे कधी झाल्यास, एकाने जरी आपल्या पापाची कबुली दिली किंवा सर्व इस्राएली लोकांनी आपल्या जीवाला होणारा त्रास ओळखून मंदिराकडे हात पसरुन क्षमा याचना करतील.
39 Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men; )
३९तर त्यांची प्रार्थना स्वर्गातून ऐकून त्यांना क्षमा कर आणि कृती कर. लोकांच्या मनात काय आहे हे फक्त तूच जाणतोस. तेव्हा प्रत्येकाचा योग्य न्यायनिवाडा कर.
40 That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest to our fathers.
४०आमच्या पूर्वजांना तू जी भूमी दिलीस तिथे लोकांनी त्यांचे वास्तव्य तिथे असेपर्यंत तुझा आदर ठेवून व भय धरुन रहावे म्हणून एवढे कर.
41 Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name’s sake;
४१इस्राएली लोकांशिवाय तुझ्या नावासाठी परदेशाहून कोणी आला,
42 (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy outstretched arm; ) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
४२कारण तुझे महान नाव बलशाली हात व पुढे केलेला बाहू ही सर्व त्यांच्या ऐकण्यात येणारच, व त्यांनी या मंदिराकडे येऊन प्रार्थना केली,
43 Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have built, is called by thy name.
४३तर तू स्वर्गातून त्यांचीही प्रार्थना ऐक. त्यांच्या मनासारखे कर. म्हणजे इस्राएली लोकांप्रमाणेच या लोकांसही तुझ्याबद्दल भय आणि आदर वाटेल. तुझ्या सन्मानार्थ हे मंदिर मी बांधले आहे हे मग सर्व लोकांस कळेल.
44 If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever thou shalt send them, and shall pray to the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:
४४परमेश्वरा, कधी तू आपल्या लोकांस शत्रूवर चढाई करायचा आदेश देशील. तेव्हा तुझे लोक तू निवडलेल्या या नगराकडे आणि तुझ्या सन्मानार्थ मी बांधलेल्या मंदिराकडे वळतील. आणि ते तुझ्याकडे प्रार्थना करतील.
45 Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
४५तेव्हा तू आपल्या स्वर्गातून त्यांची प्रार्थना विंनती ऐक आणि त्यांना मदत कर.
46 If they shall sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not, ) and thou shalt be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives to the land of the enemy, far or near;
४६जर लोकांच्या हातून तुझ्याविरूद्ध काही पाप घडले, (कारण पाप करत नाही असा कोणीच नाही) अशावेळी त्यांच्यावर संतापून तू त्यांचा शत्रूकडून पराभव करवशील. शत्रू मग त्यांना कैदी करून दूरदेशी नेतील.
47 Yet if they shall take it to their hearts in the land where they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication to thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
४७तर बंदी करून नेलेल्या देशात गेल्यावर मग हे लोक झाल्या गोष्टी विचारात घेतील. त्यांना आपल्या पापांचा पश्चाताप करतील तुझ्याकडून दयेची अपेक्षा करतील आणि ते प्रार्थना करतील, आम्ही चुकलो, आमच्या हातून दुष्टाई घडली अशी ते कबुली देतील.
48 And so return to thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, who led them away captive, and pray to thee toward their land, which thou gavest to their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
४८बंदी करून नेलेल्या शत्रुंच्या देशात असताना ते जर अंत: करणपूर्वक तुझ्याकडे वळले आणि तू त्यांच्या पूर्वजांना दिलेल्या भूमीच्या दिशेने, तू निवडलेल्या या नगराच्या दिशेने आणि तुझ्या सन्मानार्थ मी बांधलेल्या या मंदिराच्या दिशेने त्यांनी प्रार्थना केली तर
49 Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,
४९तू ती आपल्या स्वर्गातील ठिकाणाहून त्यांची प्रार्थना व विनंती ऐक व त्यांस न्याय दे.
50 And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions in which they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
५०त्यांच्या सर्व पापांची क्षमा कर. तुझ्याविरुध्द पाप केल्याबद्दल त्यांना क्षमा कर. त्यांच्या शत्रूसमोर त्यांच्या वर दया दाखव, म्हणजे ते त्यांच्यावर दया करतील,
51 For they are thy people, and thy inheritance, which thou broughtest out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
५१ते तुझे लोक आहेत हे आठव तू त्यांना मिसरमधून बाहेर आणलेस जसे काही लोखंड वितळविण्याचा तापलेल्या भट्टीतून बाहेर काढले हेच तुझे वतन होत.
52 That thy eyes may be open to the supplication of thy servant, and to the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken to them in all their supplications to thee.
५२“तर तुझे डोळे तुझ्या सेवकाच्या विनंतीकडे व तुझ्या या इस्राएल लोकांची प्रार्थना कृपाकरून ऐक, ते तुझा धावा करतील त्यांच्या हाकेला प्रतिसाद दे.
53 For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thy inheritance, as thou didst speak by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.
५३प्रभू परमेश्वरा, पृथ्वीतलावरील सर्व मनुष्यांमधून निवड करून तू यांना वेगळे केले आहेस. तू तुझे अभिवचन दिले आहेस. त्यानुसार हे लोक तुझे वतन व्हावे म्हणून मिसरमधून तू आमच्या पूर्वजांना बाहेर नेलेस तेव्हा आपला सेवक मोशे याच्याकडून हे कार्य करवून घेतलेस.”
54 And it was so, that when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
५४शलमोनाने आकाशाकडे हात पसरून व परमेश्वराच्या वेदीसमोर गुडघे टेकून ही सर्व प्रार्थना व विनवणी परमेश्वरास करण्याचे संपवल्यावर तो तेथून उठला.
55 And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,
५५मग त्याने इस्राएल लोकांस उभे राहून उंच आवाजात आशीर्वाद दिला, तो म्हणाला.
56 Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
५६“परमेश्वराचे स्तवन करा. इस्राएल लोकांस विसावा देण्याचे त्याने कबूल केले होते. त्याप्रमाणे त्यांने केले आहे. आपला सेवक मोशे याच्यामार्फत वचने दिली होती. त्यापैकी एकही शब्द वाया गेला नाही.
57 The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:
५७आपल्या पूर्वजांना आपला देव परमेश्वर याने जशी साथ दिली तशीच तो पुढे आपल्यालाही देवो. त्याने आम्हास कधी सोडू नये व कधी त्यागू नये.
58 That he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.
५८आम्ही त्यास अनुसरावे. त्याच्या मार्गाने जावे. म्हणजेच आपल्या पूर्वंजांना त्याने दिलेल्या आज्ञा, सर्व नियम, निर्णय यांचे आम्ही पालन करावे.
59 And let these my words, with which I have made supplication before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, that he may maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
५९आजची माझी प्रार्थना आणि माझे मागणे परमेश्वर सतत लक्षात ठेवो. हा राजा त्याचा सेवक आहे. त्याच्यासाठी आणि इस्राएल लोकांसाठी त्याने एवढे करावे. एकदिवसही त्यामध्ये खंड पडू देऊ नये.
60 That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.
६०परमेश्वराने एवढे केले तर हा एकच खरा देव आहे हे जगभरच्या लोकांस कळेल त्याच्याशिवाय दुसरा देव नाही.
61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
६१तुम्ही सर्वांनीही आपल्या परमेश्वर देवाशी एकनिष्ठ आणि प्रामाणिक असले पाहिजे. त्याच्या सर्व आज्ञा आणि नियम यांचे पालन केले पाहिजे. आत्ताप्रमाणेच पुढेही हे सर्व चालू ठेवले पाहिजे.”
62 And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.
६२मग राजासहीत सर्व इस्राएल लोकांनी परमेश्वरासमोर यज्ञबली अर्पण केले.
63 And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
६३शलमोनाने बावीस हजार गुरे आणि एक लाख वीस हजार मेंढरे बली अर्पिली. ही शांत्यर्पणासाठी होती. अशाप्रकारे राजा आणि इस्राएल लोकांनी मंदिर परमेश्वरास अर्पण केले.
64 The same day did the king consecrate the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
६४मंदिरा समोरचे अंगणही राजा शलमोनाने त्यादिवशी अर्पण केले. त्याने तेथे होमबली, धान्य आणि आधी शांत्यर्पणासाठी अर्पण केलेल्या जनावरांची चरबी हे सर्व तेथे अर्पण केले. परमेश्वरापुढील पितळेची वेदी त्या मानाने लहान असल्यामुळे त्याने हे अंगणात केले.
65 And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entrance into Hamath to the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
६५शलमोनाने आणि त्याच्याबरोबर सर्वांनी त्यादिवशी मंदिरात उत्सव साजरा केला. हमाथ खिंडीपासून मिसरच्या सीमेपर्यंतच्या भागातील सर्व इस्राएल लोक तेथे हजर होते. हा समुदाय प्रचंड होता. सात दिवस त्यांनी परमेश्वराच्या सान्निध्यात खाण्यापिण्यात आणि मजेत घालवले. आणखी सात दिवस त्यांनी आपला मुक्काम लांबवला. अशाप्रकारे हा सोहळा चौदा दिवस चालला.
66 On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
६६नंतर शलमोनाने सर्वांना घरोघरी परतायला सांगितले. राजाला धन्यवाद देऊन, त्याचा निरोप घेऊन सर्वजण परतले. परमेश्वराचा सेवक दावीद आणि इस्राएलचे सर्व लोक यांचे परमेश्वराने कल्याण केले म्हणून ते आनंदात होते.
