< 1 Corinthians 16 >
1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
Now, concerning the collection, which is for the saints; as I ordered the congregations of Galatia, so also so you.
2 Upon the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no collections when I come.
On the first say of the week, let each of you lay somewhat by itself, according as he may have prospered, putting it into the treasury; that when I come, there may be then no collection.
3 And when I come, whomever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality to Jerusalem.
And when I come, whomsoever you shall approve by letters, them I will send to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
4 And if it be proper that I should go also, they shall go with me.
Or, if it be proper that even I should go, they shall go with me.
5 Now I will come to you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I am to pass through Macedonia.
Now, I will come to you, when I have passed through Macedonia, (for I do pass through Macedonia; )
6 And it may be that I will abide, and even winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey wherever I go.
and, perhaps, I shall abide, and even winter with you, that you may send me forward, whithersoever I may go.
7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.
For I will not now see you in passing; but I hope to remain with you sometime, if the Lord permit.
8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.
However, I shall remain at Ephesus till Pentecost.
9 For a great door and effectual is opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
For a great and effectual door is opened to me, yet there are many opposers.
10 Now if Timothy come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.
Now, if Timothy be come, take care that he be among you without fear; for he works, even as I do, the work of the Lord.
11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come to me: for I look for him with the brethren.
Wherefore, let no one despise him; but send him forward in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.
12 As concerning our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come to you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
And with relation to our brother Apollos, I entreated him much to go to you with the brethren; but his inclination was not at all to go now, but he will go when he shall find a convenient season.
13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, acquit yourselves like men, be strong.
Watch; stand fast in the faith; acquit yourselves like men; be strong.
14 Let all your things be done with charity.
Let all things be done with love.
15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints, )
You know the family of Stephanus, that it is the first fruit of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints.
16 That ye submit yourselves to such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
I entreat you, therefore, brethren, that you submit yourselves to such, and to every joint worker and laborer.
17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
I am glad of the coming of Stephanus, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus; for they have supplied your deficiency,
18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
and have refreshed my spirit and yours; wherefore, acknowledge such persons.
19 The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
The congregations of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the congregation which is in their house.
20 All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.
All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.
21 The salutation of me Paul with my own hand.
The salutation of Paul with my own hand.
22 If any man loveth not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
If any one love not the Lord Jesus Christ, he shall be accursed when the Lord comes.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. he first epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi by Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus and Timothy.
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
