૧આદમ, શેથ, અનોશ,
2 Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,
૨કેનાન, માહલાલેલ, યારેદ;
3 Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,
૩હનોખ, મથૂશેલાહ, લામેખ,
4 Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
૪નૂહ, શેમ, હામ તથા યાફેથ.
5 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
૫યાફેથના દીકરાઓ: ગોમેર, માગોગ, માદાય, યાવાન, તુબાલ, મેશેખ તથા તીરાસ.
6 And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
૬ગોમેરના દીકરા: આશ્કનાઝ, રિફાથ અને તોગાર્મા.
7 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
૭યાવાનના દીકરા: એલીશા, તાર્શીશ, કિત્તીમ તથા દોદાનીમ.
8 The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
૮હામના દીકરા: કૂશ, મિસરાઈમ, પૂટ તથા કનાન.
9 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
૯કૂશના દીકરા: સબા, હવીલા, સાબ્તા, રામા તથા સાબ્તેકા. રામાના દીકરા: શેબા તથા દેદાન.
10 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.
૧૦કૂશનો દીકરો નિમ્રોદ તે પૃથ્વી પરનો પ્રથમ વિજેતા હતો.
11 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
૧૧મિસરાઈમ એ લૂદીમ, અનામીમ, લહાબીમ, નાફતુહીમ,
12 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines, ) and Caphthorim.
૧૨પાથરુસીમ, કાસ્લુહીમ પલિસ્તીઓના પૂર્વજ તથા કાફતોરીમનો પૂર્વજ હતો.
13 And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
૧૩કનાન પોતાના જયેષ્ઠ દીકરા સિદોન પછી હેથ,
14 The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
૧૪યબૂસી, અમોરી, ગિર્ગાશી,
15 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
૧૫હિવ્વી, આર્કી, સિની,
16 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
૧૬આર્વાદી, સમારી તથા હમાથીઓનો પૂર્વજ હતો.
17 The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
૧૭શેમના દીકરા: એલામ, આશ્શૂર, આર્પાકશાદ, લૂદ, અરામ, ઉસ, હૂલ, ગેથેર તથા મેશેખ.
18 And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
૧૮આર્પાકશાદનો દીકરો શેલા, શેલાનો દીકરો એબેર.
19 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother’s name was Joktan.
૧૯એબેરના બે દીકરા હતા: પેલેગ અને યોકટાન. પેલેગના સમયમાં પૃથ્વીના વિભાગ થયા હતા.
20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
૨૦યોકટાનના વંશજો: આલ્મોદાદ, શેલેફ, હસાર્માવેથ, યેરાહ,
21 Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
૨૧હદોરામ, ઉઝાલ, દિકલાહ,
22 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
૨૨એબાલ, અબિમાએલ, શેબા,
23 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
૨૩ઓફીર, હવીલા અને યોબાબ.
24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
૨૪શેમ, આર્પાકશાદ, શેલા,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
૨૫એબેર, પેલેગ, રેઉ,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
૨૬સરૂગ, નાહોર, તેરાહ,
27 Abram; the same is Abraham.
૨૭અને ઇબ્રામ એટલે ઇબ્રાહિમ.
28 The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.
૨૮ઇબ્રાહિમના દીકરા: ઇસહાક તથા ઇશ્માએલ.
29 These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
૨૯તેઓની વંશાવળી આ છે: ઇશ્માએલના દીકરા: તેનો જ્યેષ્ઠ દીકરો નબાયોથ પછી કેદાર, આદબએલ, મિબ્સામ,
30 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
૩૦મિશમા, દુમા, માસ્સા, હદાદ, તેમા,
31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.
૩૧યટુર, નાફીશ તથા કેદમા. આ ઇશ્માએલના દીકરાઓ હતા.
32 Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.
૩૨ઇબ્રાહિમની ઉપપત્ની કટૂરાના દીકરા: ઝિમ્રાન, યોકશાન, મદાન, મિદ્યાન, યિશ્બાક તથા શુઆ. યોકશાનના દીકરા: શેબા તથા દેદાન.
33 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
૩૩મિદ્યાનના દીકરા: એફા, એફેર, હનોખ, અબીદા તથા એલ્દાહ.
34 And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.
૩૪ઇબ્રાહિમનો દીકરો ઇસહાક. ઇસહાકના દીકરા: એસાવ તથા યાકૂબ ઇઝરાયલ હતા.
35 The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
૩૫એસાવના દીકરા: અલિફાઝ, રેઉએલ, યેઉશ, યાલામ તથા કોરા.
36 The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
૩૬અલિફાઝના દીકરા: તેમાન, ઓમાર, સફી, ગાતામ, કનાઝ, તિમ્ના તથા અમાલેક.
37 The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
૩૭રેઉએલના દીકરા: નાહાથ, ઝેરાહ, શામ્મા તથા મિઝઝા.
38 And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
૩૮સેઈરના દીકરા: લોટાન, શોબાલ, સિબયોન, અના, દિશોન, એસેર તથા દિશાન.
39 And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan’s sister.
૩૯લોટાનના દીકરા: હોરી તથા હોમામ. લોટાનની બહેન તિમ્ના.
40 The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.
૪૦શોબાલના દીકરા: આલ્યાન, માનાહાથ, એબાલ, શફી તથા ઓનામ. સિબયોનના દીકરા: એયાહ તથા અના.
41 The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
૪૧અનાનો દીકરો: દિશોન. દિશોનના દીકરા: હામ્રાન, એશ્બાન, યિથ્રાન તથા ખરાન.
42 The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.
૪૨એસેરના દીકરા: બિલ્હાન, ઝાવાન તથા યાકાન. દિશાનના દીકરા: ઉસ તથા આરાન.
43 Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
૪૩ઇઝરાયલમાં કોઈ રાજાએ રાજ કર્યું તે પહેલા આ બધા રાજાઓએ અદોમ દેશમાં રાજ કર્યું હતું: બેઓરનો દીકરો બેલા. તેના નગરનું નામ દિનહાબા હતું.
44 And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
૪૪બેલા મરણ પામ્યો ત્યારે બોસરાના ઝેરાહના દીકરા યોબાબે તેની જગ્યાએ રાજ કર્યું.
45 And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
૪૫યોબાબ મરણ પામ્યો, ત્યારે તેની જગ્યાએ તેમાનીઓના દેશના હુશામે રાજ કર્યું.
46 And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
૪૬હુશામ મરણ પામ્યો, ત્યારે બદાદના દીકરા હદાદે રાજ કર્યું. તેણે મોઆબીઓના દેશમાં મિદ્યાનીઓને હરાવ્યા અને માર્યા. તેના નગરનું નામ અવીથ હતું.
47 And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
૪૭હદાદ મરણ પામ્યો ત્યારે માસરેકાના સામ્લાએ તેની જગ્યાએ રાજ કર્યુ.
48 And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
૪૮સામ્લા મરણ પામ્યો ત્યારે નદી પરના રહોબોથના શાઉલે તેની જગ્યાએ રાજ કર્યુ.
49 And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
૪૯શાઉલ મરણ પામ્યો ત્યારે આખ્બોરના દીકરા બાલ-હનાને તેની જગ્યાએ રાજ કર્યું.
50 And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
૫૦બાલ-હનાન મરણ પામ્યો ત્યારે હદાદે તેની જગ્યાએ રાજ કર્યું. તેના નગરનું નામ પાઉ હતું. તેની પત્નીનું નામ મહેટાબેલ હતું, તે મેઝાહાબની દીકરી માટ્રેદની દીકરી હતી.
51 Hadad died also. And the chiefs of Edom were; chief Timnah, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
૫૧હદાદ મરણ પામ્યો. અદોમના સરદારો આ હતા: તિમ્ના, આલ્વાહ, યથેથ,
52 Chief Aholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
૫૨ઓહોલીબામાહ, એલા, પીનોન,
53 Chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
૫૩કનાઝ, તેમાન, મિબ્સાર,
54 Chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom.
૫૪માગ્દીએલ તથા ઇરામ. આ બધા અદોમ કુળના સરદારો હતા.
