1 Chronicles 6

1 The sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 And the children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

Et les fils d’Amram: Aaron et Moïse, et Marie. Et les fils d’Aaron: Nadab et Abihu, Éléazar et Ithamar.

4 Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua,

5 And Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,

et Abishua engendra Bukki, et Bukki engendra Uzzi,

6 And Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,

et Uzzi engendra Zerakhia, et Zerakhia engendra Meraïoth;

7 Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

Meraïoth engendra Amaria, et Amaria engendra Akhitub,

8 And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,

et Akhitub engendra Tsadok, et Tsadok engendra Akhimaats,

9 And Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,

et Akhimaats engendra Azaria, et Azaria engendra Jokhanan,

10 And Johanan begat Azariah, (he it is that executed the priest’s office in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem: )

et Jokhanan engendra Azaria: c’est lui qui exerça la sacrificature dans la maison que Salomon bâtit à Jérusalem.

11 And Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

12 And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,

et Akhitub engendra Tsadok, et Tsadok engendra Shallum,

13 And Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,

et Shallum engendra Hilkija, et Hilkija engendra Azaria,

14 And Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak,

et Azaria engendra Seraïa, et Seraïa engendra Jotsadak,

15 And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 The sons of Levi; Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 And these are the names of the sons of Gershom; Libni, and Shimei.

– Et ce sont ici les noms des fils de Guershom: Libni et Shimhi.

18 And the sons of Kohath were, Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

Et les fils de Kehath: Amram, et Jitsehar, et Hébron, et Uziel.

19 The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

Les fils de Merari: Makhli et Mushi. – Ce sont là les familles de Lévi, selon leurs pères.

20 Of Gershom; Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

23 Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son,

Elkana, son fils; et Ébiasaph, son fils; et Assir, son fils;

24 Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

Thakhath, son fils; Uriel, son fils; Ozias, son fils; et Saül, son fils.

25 And the sons of Elkanah; Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 As for Elkanah: the sons of Elkanah; Zophai his son, and Nahath his son,

28 And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abiah.

29 The sons of Merari; Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzza his son,

Les fils de Merari: Makhli; Libni, son fils; Shimhi, son fils; Uzza, son fils;

30 Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

Shimha, son fils; Hagguija, son fils; Asçaïa, son fils.

31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.

Et ce sont ici ceux que David établit pour la direction du chant dans la maison de l’Éternel, depuis que l’arche fut en repos.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

Et ils faisaient le service devant le tabernacle de la tente d’assignation, pour le chant, jusqu’à ce que Salomon ait bâti la maison de l’Éternel à Jérusalem; et ils se tinrent là selon l’ordre établi pour leur service.

33 And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,

34 The son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,

35 The son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

fils de Tsuph, fils d’Elkana, fils de Makhath, fils d’Amasçaï,

36 The son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,

fils d’Elkana, fils de Joël, fils d’Azaria, fils de Sophonie,

37 The son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,

fils de Thakhath, fils d’Assir, fils d’Ébiasaph, fils de Coré,

38 The son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,

40 The son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah,

42 The son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,

44 And their brethren the sons of Merari stood on the left hand: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

45 The son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,

fils de Hashabia, fils d’Amatsia, fils de Hilkija,

46 The son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamer,

fils d’Amtsi, fils de Bani, fils de Shémer,

47 The son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

fils de Makhli, fils de Mushi, fils de Merari, fils de Lévi.

48 Their brethren also the Levites were appointed to all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

Et leurs frères, les Lévites, furent donnés pour tout le service du tabernacle de la maison de Dieu.

49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

Et Aaron et ses fils faisaient fumer [ce qui se brûlait] sur l’autel de l’holocauste et sur l’autel de l’encens, pour tout le service du lieu très saint, et pour faire propitiation pour Israël, selon tout ce que Moïse, serviteur de Dieu, avait commandé.

50 And these are the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,

Meraïoth, son fils; Amaria, son fils; Akhitub, son fils;

53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

54 Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their land, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

Et ce sont ici leurs habitations, selon leurs enclos, dans leurs confins. – Pour les fils d’Aaron, de la famille des Kehathites, car le sort tomba pour eux:

55 And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and its common lands around it.

et on leur donna Hébron, dans le pays de Juda, et sa banlieue autour d’elle;

56 But the fields of the city, and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

mais la campagne de la ville et ses hameaux, on les donna à Caleb, fils de Jephunné.

57 And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with its common lands, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their common lands,

Et aux fils d’Aaron on donna la ville de refuge: Hébron; et Libna et sa banlieue, et Jatthir, et Eshtemoa et sa banlieue,

58 And Hilen with its common lands, Debir with its common lands,

et Hilen et sa banlieue, [et] Debir et sa banlieue,

59 And Ashan with its common lands, and Bethshemesh with its common lands:

et Ashan et sa banlieue, et Beth-Shémesh et sa banlieue;

60 And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with its common lands, and Alemeth with its common lands, and Anathoth with its common lands. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

et de la tribu de Benjamin: Guéba et sa banlieue, et Allémeth et sa banlieue, et Anathoth et sa banlieue. Toutes leurs villes: 13 villes, selon leurs familles.

61 And to the sons of Kohath, who were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.

Et aux autres fils de Kehath [on donna], par le sort, dix villes, des familles de la tribu [d’Éphraïm [et de la tribu de Dan] et] de la moitié de la tribu de Manassé;

62 And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families were given out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

et aux fils de Guershom, selon leurs familles, 13 villes, de la tribu d’Issacar, et de la tribu d’Aser, et de la tribu de Nephthali, et de la tribu de Manassé, en Basan;

63 To the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

[et] aux fils de Merari, selon leurs familles, par le sort, douze villes, de la tribu de Ruben, et de la tribu de Gad, et de la tribu de Zabulon.

64 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their common lands.

Et les fils d’Israël donnèrent aux Lévites les villes et leurs banlieues.

65 And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.

Et ils donnèrent, par le sort, de la tribu des fils de Juda, et de la tribu des fils de Siméon, et de la tribu des fils de Benjamin, ces villes-là, qu’ils nommèrent par [leurs] noms.

66 And some of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their land out of the tribe of Ephraim.

Et pour les familles des fils de Kehath qui eurent les villes de leur territoire de la tribu d’Éphraïm,

67 And they gave to them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with its common lands; they gave also Gezer with its common lands,

on leur donna la ville de refuge: Sichem et sa banlieue, dans la montagne d’Éphraïm, et Guézer et sa banlieue,

68 And Jokmeam with its common lands, and Bethhoron with its common lands,

et Jokmeam et sa banlieue, et Beth-Horon et sa banlieue,

69 And Aijalon with its common lands, and Gathrimmon with its common lands:

et Ajalon et sa banlieue, et Gath-Rimmon et sa banlieue;

70 And out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with its common lands, and Bileam with its common lands, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.

et de la demi-tribu de Manassé: Aner et sa banlieue, et Bilham et sa banlieue, – pour les familles des autres fils de Kehath.

71 To the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with its common lands, and Ashtaroth with its common lands:

Aux fils de Guershom, [on donna], de la famille de la demi-tribu de Manassé: Golan, en Basan, et sa banlieue, et Ashtaroth et sa banlieue;

72 And out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with its common lands, Daberath with its common lands,

et de la tribu d’Issacar: Kédesh et sa banlieue, Dobrath et sa banlieue,

73 And Ramoth with its common lands, and Anem with its common lands:

et Ramoth et sa banlieue, et Anem et sa banlieue;

74 And out of the tribe of Asher; Mashal with its common lands, and Abdon with its common lands,

et de la tribu d’Aser: Mashal et sa banlieue, et Abdon et sa banlieue,

75 And Hukok with its common lands, and Rehob with its common lands:

et Hukok et sa banlieue, et Rehob et sa banlieue;

76 And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with its common lands, and Hammon with its common lands, and Kirjathaim with its common lands.

et de la tribu de Nephthali: Kédesh, en Galilée, et sa banlieue, et Hammon et sa banlieue, et Kiriathaïm et sa banlieue.

77 To the rest of the children of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with its common lands, Tabor with its common lands:

Aux fils de Merari qui restaient, [on donna], de la tribu de Zabulon: Rimmono et sa banlieue, [et] Thabor et sa banlieue;

78 And on the other side of Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with its common lands, and Jahzah with its common lands,

et au-delà du Jourdain de Jéricho, à l’orient du Jourdain, de la tribu de Ruben: Bétser, au désert, et sa banlieue, et Jahtsa et sa banlieue,

79 Kedemoth also with its common lands, and Mephaath with its common lands:

et Kedémoth et sa banlieue, et Méphaath et sa banlieue;

80 And out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with its common lands, and Mahanaim with its common lands,

et de la tribu de Gad: Ramoth, en Galaad, et sa banlieue, et Mahanaïm et sa banlieue,

81 And Heshbon with its common lands, and Jazer with its common lands.

et Hesbon et sa banlieue, et Jahzer et sa banlieue.
