1 Chronicles 28
1 And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, to Jerusalem.
David reunió en Jerusalén a todos los príncipes de Israel, a los príncipes de las tribus, a los capitanes de las compañías que servían al rey por divisiones, a los capitanes de millares, a los capitanes de centenas y a los jefes de toda la hacienda y las posesiones del rey y de sus hijos, con los oficiales y los valientes, todos los valientes.
2 Then David the king stood upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in my heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:
Entonces el rey David se puso en pie y dijo: “¡Oídme, hermanos míos y pueblo mío! En cuanto a mí, estaba en mi corazón construir una casa de reposo para el arca de la alianza de Yahvé, y para el escabel de nuestro Dios; y había preparado la construcción.
3 But God said to me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
Pero Dios me dijo: ‘No construirás una casa a mi nombre, porque eres un hombre de guerra y has derramado sangre’.
4 However the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel:
Sin embargo, Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, me eligió de entre toda la casa de mi padre para ser rey de Israel para siempre. Porque ha elegido a Judá como príncipe; y en la casa de Judá, la casa de mi padre; y entre los hijos de mi padre se complació en mí para hacerme rey sobre todo Israel.
5 And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons, ) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
De todos mis hijos (pues Yahvé me ha dado muchos hijos), ha elegido a mi hijo Salomón para que se siente en el trono del reino de Yahvé sobre Israel.
6 And he said to me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
Me dijo: “Salomón, tu hijo, edificará mi casa y mis atrios; porque lo he escogido para que sea mi hijo, y yo seré su padre.
7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he shall be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
Estableceré su reino para siempre si sigue cumpliendo mis mandamientos y mis ordenanzas, como hoy.’
8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
Ahora, pues, a la vista de todo Israel, de la asamblea de Yahvé, y en audiencia de nuestro Dios, observa y busca todos los mandamientos de Yahvé, tu Dios, para que poseas esta buena tierra y la dejes en herencia a tus hijos después de ti para siempre.
9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou shalt seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou shalt forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
Tú, Salomón, hijo mío, conoce al Dios de tu padre y sírvele con un corazón perfecto y una mente dispuesta; porque el Señor escudriña todos los corazones y entiende todas las imaginaciones de los pensamientos. Si lo buscas, lo encontrarás; pero si lo abandonas, te desechará para siempre.
10 Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
Presta atención ahora, porque Yahvé te ha elegido para construir una casa para el santuario. Sé fuerte y hazlo”.
11 Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses of it, and of its treasuries, and of its upper chambers, and of its inner parlours and of the place of the mercy seat,
Entonces David dio a Salomón su hijo los planos del pórtico del templo, de sus casas, de sus tesoros, de sus habitaciones superiores, de sus habitaciones interiores, del lugar del propiciatorio;
12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the surrounding chambers, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
y los planos de todo lo que tenía por el Espíritu, para los atrios de la casa de Yahvé, para todas las habitaciones circundantes, para los tesoros de la casa de Dios y para los tesoros de las cosas dedicadas
13 Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD.
también para las divisiones de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, para toda la obra del servicio de la casa de Yahvé, y para todos los utensilios del servicio de la casa de Yahvé—
14 He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:
de oro por peso para el oro de todos los utensilios de toda clase de servicio, para todos los utensilios de plata por peso, para todos los utensilios de toda clase de servicio;
15 Even the weight for the lampstands of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every lampstand, and for its lamps: and for the lampstands of silver by weight, both for the lampstand, and also for its lamps, according to the use of every lampstand.
por peso también para los candelabros de oro y para sus lámparas, de oro, por peso para cada candelabro y para sus lámparas; y para los candelabros de plata, por peso para cada candelabro y para sus lámparas, según el uso de cada candelabro;
16 And by weight he gave gold for the tables of showbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:
y el oro por peso para las mesas de pan de muestra, para cada mesa; y la plata para las mesas de plata
17 Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basins he gave gold by weight for every basin; and likewise silver by weight for every basin of silver:
y los tenedores, los cuencos y las copas, de oro puro; y para los cuencos de oro, por peso, para cada cuenco; y para los cuencos de plata, por peso, para cada cuenco;
18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubim, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
y para el altar del incienso, oro refinado por peso; y oro para los planos del carro, y los querubines que se extienden y cubren el arca del pacto de Yahvé.
19 All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.
“Todo esto”, dijo David, “se me ha hecho entender por escrito de la mano de Yahvé, todas las obras de este modelo.”
20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
David dijo a su hijo Salomón: “Sé fuerte y valiente, y hazlo. No temas ni te desanimes, porque el Dios de Yahvé, mi Dios, está contigo. Él no te fallará ni te abandonará, hasta que toda la obra para el servicio de la casa de Yahvé esté terminada.
21 And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy command.
He aquí que hay divisiones de los sacerdotes y de los levitas para todo el servicio de la casa de Dios. Todo hombre dispuesto que tenga habilidad para cualquier clase de servicio estará con ustedes en toda clase de trabajo. También los capitanes y todo el pueblo estarán enteramente a tus órdenes”.
