Zechariah 10
1 Ask for rain from Yahweh in the season of the spring rain— Yahweh who makes thunderstorms— and he gives rain showers to everyone and vegetation in the field.
Các ngươi hãy cầu xin Chúa Hằng Hữu cho mưa mùa xuân, Ngài sẽ kéo mây dày đặc. Và Ngài sẽ đổ mưa xuống dồi dào cho mọi hoa cỏ sẽ mọc đầy đồng.
2 For household idols speak falsely; the diviners envision a lie; they tell deceitful dreams and give empty comfort, so they wander like sheep and suffer because there is no shepherd.
Thần tượng chỉ lừa gạt, thầy bói chỉ nói dối, bịa đặt chiêm bao viễn vông. Họ có an ủi được ai đâu? Vì thế dân đi lạc lối như chiên; họ phải chịu khốn khổ vì không người chăn dắt.
3 “My wrath burns against the shepherds; it is the male goats—the leaders—that I will punish. Yahweh of hosts will also attend to his flock, the house of Judah, and make them like his warhorse in battle!
“Ta giận những người chăn dân Ta vô cùng, Ta sẽ trừng phạt họ. Bây giờ Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân sẽ đến săn sóc Giu-đa là bầy chiên Ngài. Ngài sẽ ban cho họ sức lực và vinh quang như chiến mã oai phong.
4 From Judah will come the cornerstone; from him will come the tent peg; from him will come the war bow; from him will come every ruler together.
Từ Giu-đa sẽ có một tảng đá móng, một mấu chốt, một cung trận, và các nhà lãnh đạo.
5 They will be like warriors who trample their enemies into the mud of the streets in battle; they will make war, for Yahweh is with them, and they will shame those who ride warhorses.
Họ là những dũng sĩ giẫm nát quân thù trên trận địa như giẫm bùn ngoài đường phố. Khi chiến đấu, Chúa Hằng Hữu ở bên họ, kỵ binh của quân địch bị họ đánh tan tành.
6 I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph; for I will restore them and have mercy on them. They will be as though I had not cast them off, for I am Yahweh their God, and I will respond to them.
Ta sẽ củng cố nhà Giu-đa, cứu nhà Giô-sép; vì xót thương, Ta sẽ đem họ về. Ta sẽ kể như họ chưa hề bị Ta từ bỏ, vì Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của họ. Ta sẽ đáp lời cầu xin của họ.
7 Then Ephraim will be like a warrior, and their hearts will rejoice as with wine; their children will see and rejoice. Their hearts will rejoice in me!
Người Ép-ra-im sẽ như dũng sĩ, lòng họ sẽ hân hoan như uống rượu nho. Con cái họ thấy thế đều vui mừng; họ sẽ hớn hở trong Chúa Hằng Hữu.
8 I will whistle for them and gather them, for I will rescue them, and they will become as great as they previously were!
Ta sẽ thổi còi tập họp họ lại, cho họ trở nên đông đảo như xưa, vì Ta đã chuộc họ.
9 I sowed them among the peoples, but they will remember me in distant countries, so they and their children will live and return.
Dù Ta đã rải họ ra khắp các nước xa xôi, nhưng họ sẽ nhớ đến Ta. Họ sẽ trở về, đem theo tất cả con cái mình.
10 For I will restore them from the land of Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to the land of Gilead and Lebanon until there is no more room for them.
Ta sẽ đem họ về từ Ai Cập và tập họp họ từ A-sy-ri. Ta sẽ cho họ lập nghiệp lại trong xứ Ga-la-át và Li-ban cho đến khi họ sống chật đất.
11 I will pass through the sea of their affliction; I will strike the waves of that sea and will dry up all the depths of the Nile. The majesty of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will go away from the Egyptians.
Họ sẽ vượt qua biển khổ, sóng đào sẽ dịu xuống, và nước sông Nin sẽ cạn khô, sự kiêu hãnh của A-sy-ri bị đánh hạ, vua Ai Cập mất quyền.
12 I will strengthen them in myself, and they will walk in my name—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
Ta sẽ cho họ cường thịnh trong Chúa Hằng Hữu, đi đâu họ cũng mang danh hiệu Ngài. Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, phán vậy!”
