< Romans 10 >

1 Brothers, my heart's desire and my request to God is for them, for their salvation.
Ẹ̀yin arákùnrin àti arábìnrin, ìfẹ́ ọkàn àti àdúrà mi sí Ọlọ́run fún àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli ni kí wọ́n le ní ìgbàlà.
2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Nítorí mo gba ẹ̀rí wọn jẹ́ wí pé, wọ́n ní ìtara fún Ọlọ́run, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìmọ̀.
3 For they do not know of God's righteousness, and they seek to establish their own righteousness. They did not submit to the righteousness of God.
Nítorí bí wọn kò tí mọ òdodo Ọlọ́run, tí wọ́n si ń wá ọ̀nà láti gbé òdodo ara wọn kalẹ̀, wọn kò tẹríba fún òdodo Ọlọ́run.
4 For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness for everyone who believes.
Nítorí Kristi ni òpin òfin sí òdodo fún olúkúlùkù ẹni tí ó gbà á gbọ́.
5 For Moses writes about the righteousness that comes from the law: “The man who does the righteousness of the law will live by this righteousness.”
Mose ṣá kọ èyí nípa òdodo tí í ṣe ti òfin pé, “Ẹni tí ó ba ṣe, yóò yè nípa wọn.”
6 But the righteousness that comes from faith says this, “Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' (that is, to bring Christ down);
Ṣùgbọ́n òdodo tí í ṣe ìgbàgbọ́ wí pé, “Má ṣe wí ni ọkàn rẹ̀ pé, ‘Ta ni yóò gòkè lọ si ọ̀run?’” (èyí ni, láti mú Kristi sọ̀kalẹ̀),
7 and do not say, 'Who will descend into the abyss?'” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). (Abyssos g12)
“tàbí, ‘Ta ni yóò sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ si ọ̀gbun?’” (èyí ni, láti mú Kristi gòkè ti inú òkú wá). (Abyssos g12)
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” That is the word of faith, which we proclaim.
Ṣùgbọ́n kí ni ó wí? “Ọ̀rọ̀ náà wà létí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, ní ẹnu rẹ̀, àti ní ọkàn rẹ̀,” èyí nì ni ọ̀rọ̀ ìgbàgbọ́, tí àwa ń wàásù pé:
9 For if with your mouth you acknowledge Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Bí ìwọ bá fi ẹnu rẹ̀ jẹ́wọ́ “Jesu ní Olúwa,” tí ìwọ si gbàgbọ́ ní ọkàn rẹ pé, Ọlọ́run jí i dìde kúrò nínú òku, a ó gbà ọ́ là.
10 For with the heart man believes for righteousness, and with the mouth he acknowledges for salvation.
Nítorí ọkàn ni a fi ìgbàgbọ́ sí òdodo; ẹnu ni a sì ń fi ìjẹ́wọ́ sí ìgbàlà.
11 For scripture says, “Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame.”
Nítorí Ìwé Mímọ́ wí pé, “Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá gbà a gbọ́ ojú kò yóò tì í.”
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek. For the same Lord is Lord of all, and he is rich to all who call upon him.
Nítorí kò si ìyàtọ̀ nínú Júù àti Helleni: nítorí Olúwa kan náà ni Olúwa gbogbo wọn, o si pọ̀ ni ọrọ̀ fún gbogbo àwọn ti ń ké pe e.
13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
“Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá sá à ti pe orúkọ Olúwa ni a ó gbàlà.”
14 How then can they call on him in whom they have not believed? How can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? How can they hear without a preacher?
Ǹjẹ́ wọn ó ha ti ṣe ké pe ẹni tí wọn kò gbàgbọ́? Wọn ó ha sì ti ṣe gba ẹni tí wọn kò gbúròó rẹ̀ rí gbọ́? Wọn o ha sì ti ṣe gbọ́ láìsí oníwàásù?
15 Then how can they preach, unless they are sent?—As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim glad tidings of good things!”
Wọ́n ó ha sì ti ṣe wàásù, bí kò ṣe pé a rán wọn? Gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti kọ ọ́ pé, “Ẹsẹ̀ àwọn tí ń wàásù ìyìnrere àlàáfíà ti dára tó, àwọn tí ń wàásù ìròyìn ayọ̀ ohun rere!”
16 But they did not all listen to the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”
Ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe gbogbo wọn ni ó gbọ́ ti ìyìnrere. Nítorí Isaiah wí pé, “Olúwa, ta ni ó gba ìyìn wa gbọ́?”
17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
Ǹjẹ́ nípa gbígbọ́ ni ìgbàgbọ́ ti í wá, àti gbígbọ́ nípa ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run.
18 But I say, “Did they not hear?” Yes, most certainly. “Their sound has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
19 Moreover, I say, “Did Israel not know?” First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy by what is not a nation. By means of a nation without understanding, I will stir you up to anger.”
Ṣùgbọ́n mo wí pé, Israẹli kò ha mọ̀ bí? Mose ni ó kọ́ wí pé, “Èmi ó fi àwọn tí kì í ṣe ènìyàn mú yín jowú. Àti àwọn aláìmòye ènìyàn ni èmi ó fi bí yín nínú.”
20 Then Isaiah was very bold when he says, “I was found by those who did not seek me. I appeared to those who did not ask for me.”
Ṣùgbọ́n Isaiah tilẹ̀ láyà, ó wí pé, “Àwọn tí kò wá mi rí mi; Àwọn tí kò béèrè mi ni a fi mí hàn fún.”
21 But to Israel he says, “All the day long I reached out my hands to a disobedient and stubborn people.”
Ṣùgbọ́n nípa ti Israẹli ni ó wí pé, “Ní gbogbo ọjọ́ ni mo na ọwọ́ mi sí àwọn aláìgbọ́ràn àti aláríwísí ènìyàn.”
