Romans 1
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God,
Pablo, siervo de Cristo Jesús, llamado a ser apóstol, separado para el Evangelio de Dios
2 which he promised beforehand by his prophets in the holy scriptures,
—que Él había prometido antes por sus profetas en las Escrituras santas—
3 concerning his Son who was a descendant of David according to the flesh.
( Evangelio que trata ) del Hijo suyo, del nacido de la semilla de David según la carne,
4 Through the Spirit of holiness he was declared with power to be the Son of God by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.
de Jesucristo Señor nuestro, destinado ( para ser manifestado ) Hijo de Dios en poder, conforme al Espíritu de santidad, desde la resurrección de los muertos,
5 Through him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience of faith among all the nations, for the sake of his name.
por Quien hemos recibido gracia y apostolado para obediencia fiel, por razón de su Nombre, entre todos los gentiles,
6 Among these nations, you also have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.
de los cuales sois también vosotros, llamados de Jesucristo.
7 This letter is to all who are in Rome, the beloved of God, who are called to be holy people. May grace be to you, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
A todos los que os halláis en Roma, amados de Dios, llamados santos: gracia a vosotros y paz, de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.
Ante todo doy gracias a mi Dios, mediante Jesucristo, por todos vosotros, porque vuestra fe es celebrada en todo el mundo.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, of how continually I make mention of you.
Pues testigo me es Dios, a quien sirvo en mi espíritu en el Evangelio de su Hijo, de que sin cesar os recuerdo,
10 I always request in my prayers that by any means I may at last be successful now by the will of God in coming to you.
rogando siempre en mis oraciones, que de cualquier modo encuentre al fin, por la voluntad de Dios, allanado el camino para ir a vosotros.
11 For I desire to see you, that I may give you some spiritual gift, in order to strengthen you.
Porque anhelo veros, a fin de comunicaros algún don espiritual, para que seáis confirmados,
12 That is, I long to be mutually encouraged among you, through each other's faith, yours and mine.
esto es, para que yo, entre vosotros, sea junto con vosotros consolado, por la mutua comunicación de la fe, vuestra y mía.
13 Now I do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, that I often intended to come to you, (but I was hindered until now), in order to have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the rest of the Gentiles.
Pues no quiero ignoréis, hermanos, que muchas veces me he propuesto ir a vosotros —pero he sido impedido hasta el presente— para que tenga algún fruto también entre vosotros, así como entre los demás gentiles.
14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to the wise and to the foolish.
A griegos y a bárbaros, a sabios y a ignorantes, soy deudor.
15 So, as for me, I am ready to proclaim the gospel also to you who are in Rome.
Así, pues, cuanto de mí depende, pronto estoy a predicar el Evangelio también a vosotros los que os halláis en Roma.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and for the Greek.
Pues no me avergüenzo del Evangelio; porque es fuerza de Dios para salvación de todo el que cree, del judío primeramente, y también del griego.
17 For in it God's righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, as it has been written, “The righteous will live by faith.”
Porque en él se revela la justicia que es de Dios, mediante fe para fe, según está escrito: “El justo vivirá por la fe”.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people, who through unrighteousness hold back the truth.
Pues la ira de Dios se manifiesta desde el cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres, que injustamente cohíben la verdad;
19 This is because that which is known about God is visible to them. For God has enlightened them.
puesto que lo que es dable conocer de Dios está manifiesto en ellos, ya que Dios se lo manifestó.
20 For his invisible qualities, namely his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (aïdios g126)
Porque lo invisible de Él, su eterno poder y su divinidad, se hacen notorios desde la creación del mundo, siendo percibidos por sus obras, de manera que no tienen excusa; (aïdios g126)
21 This is because, although they knew about God, they did not glorify him as God, nor did they give him thanks. Instead, they became foolish in their thoughts, and their senseless hearts were darkened.
por cuanto conocieron a Dios y no lo glorificaron como a Dios, ni le dieron gracias, sino que se envanecieron en sus razonamientos, y su insensato corazón fue oscurecido.
22 They claimed to be wise, but they became foolish.
Diciendo ser sabios, se tornaron necios,
23 They exchanged the glory of the imperishable God for the likenesses of an image of perishable man, of birds, of four-footed beasts, and of creeping things.
y trocaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible en imágenes que representan al hombre corruptible, aves, cuadrúpedos y reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over to the lusts of their hearts for uncleanness, for their bodies to be dishonored among themselves.
Por lo cual los entregó Dios a la inmundicia en las concupiscencias de su corazón, de modo que entre ellos afrentasen sus propios cuerpos.
25 It is they who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and who worshiped and served the creation instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Ellos trocaron la verdad de Dios por la mentira, y adoraron y dieron culto a la creatura antes que al Creador, el cual es bendito por los siglos. Amén. (aiōn g165)
26 Because of this, God gave them over to dishonorable passions, for their women exchanged natural relations for those that were unnatural.
Por esto los entregó Dios a pasiones vergonzosas, pues hasta sus mujeres cambiaron el uso natural por el que es contra naturaleza.
27 Likewise, the men also left their natural relations with women and burned in their lust for one another. These were men who committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the penalty they deserved for their error.
E igualmente los varones, dejando el uso natural de la mujer, se abrazaron en mutua concupiscencia, cometiendo cosas ignominiosas varones con varones, y recibiendo en sí mismos la paga merecida de sus extravíos.
28 Because they did not approve of having God in their awareness, he gave them up to a depraved mind, for them to do those things that are not proper.
Y como no estimaron el conocimiento de Dios, los entregó Dios a una mente depravada para hacer lo indebido,
29 They have been filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, and malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and evil intentions. They are gossips,
henchidos de toda injusticia, malicia, codicia, maldad, llenos de envidia, homicidio, riña, dolos, malignidad; murmuradores,
30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventing ways of doing evil; they are disobedient to parents.
calumniadores, aborrecedores de Dios, indolentes, soberbios, fanfarrones, inventores de maldades, desobedientes a sus padres;
31 They are senseless, faithless, heartless, and unmerciful.
insensatos, desleales, hombres sin amor y sin misericordia.
32 They understand the regulations of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death. But not only do they do these things, they also approve of others who do them.
Y si bien conocen que según lo establecido por Dios los que practican tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no solo las hacen, sino que también se complacen en los que las practican.
