Revelation 9
1 Then the fifth angel sounded his trumpet. I saw a star from heaven that had fallen to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. (Abyssos g12)
O quinto anjo tocou sua trombeta. Então vi [um anjo mau. Ele parecia ]uma estrela que tinha caído do céu para a terra. A ele foi dada {[Alguém ]lhe deu} a chave do poço que [descia para o ]abismo. (Abyssos g12)
2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the shaft like smoke from a huge furnace. The sun and the air turned dark by the smoke pouring out of the shaft. (Abyssos g12)
Ele abriu o poço/corredor [que dava para ]o abismo. Como resultado, subiu fumaça do abismo como a fumaça de uma grande fornalha. O povo foram prevenido pela fumaça {A fumaça preveniu todo mundo} de ver a luz do sol e o céu. (Abyssos g12)
3 Out of the smoke locusts came on the earth, and they were given power like that of scorpions on the earth.
De dentro da fumaça saíram gafanhotos para a terra. A eles foi dado {[Deus ]lhes deu} poder [para ferirem as pessoas ]como os escorpiões da terra [ferroam as pessoas. ]
4 They were told not to damage the grass on the earth or any green plant or tree, but only the people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
Os gafanhotos foram proibidos de fazer mal {[Deus ]mandou os gafanhotos não fazerem mal} à relva da terra, nem às plantas, nem a nenhuma árvore. [Ele determinou que eles ferissem somente ]aqueles que careciam da marca na testa [que mostrava que eles pertenciam a Deus].
5 They were not given permission to kill those people, but only to torture them for five months. Their agony would be like the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a person.
Os gafanhotos foram proibidos de matar {[Deus ]não permitiu que os gafanhotos matassem} as pessoas. Em vez disso, foi-lhes permitido {[Ele ]deixou} que continuassem torturando as pessoas durante cinco meses. Ao serem torturadas, as pessoas sentiam uma dor semelhante àquela causada por um escorpião que ferroa uma pessoa.
6 In those days people will seek death, but will not find it. They will greatly desire to die, but death will flee from them.
Durante o período em que [os gafanhotos tiverem licença de torturar os rebeldes, a dor será tão aguda que ]as pessoas desejarão morrer, mas não haverá maneira [PRS] de morrerem. Vão querer morrer, mas não poderão morrer [PRS].
7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like crowns of gold, and their faces were like human faces.
Os gafanhotos pareciam cavalos armados para a batalha. Na cabeça tinham objetos parecidos com coroas de ouro. A cara deles parecia o rosto dos seres humanos.
8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth.
Tinham cabelos [compridos ]como a cabeleira [comprida ]das mulheres. Os dentes deles eram [fortes/destrutivos ]como dentes de leão.
9 They had breastplates like iron breastplates, and the sound of their wings was like the sound made by many chariots and horses running into battle.
Levavam couraças que pareciam escudos de ferro. [Quando eles voavam], as asas deles faziam um barulho como o barulho de muitas carruagens quando os cavalos [que as puxam ]correm para a batalha.
10 They had tails with stingers like scorpions; in their tails they had power to harm people for five months.
Eles tinham caudas como [caudas de ]escorpiões, [com as quais ]ferroavam [as pessoas]. O poder de ferirem [as pessoas ]durante [aqueles ]cinco meses estava na cauda deles.
11 They had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew was Abaddon, and in Greek he had the name Apollyon. (Abyssos g12)
O rei que os governava era um anjo do abismo. O nome dele, na língua hebraica, é Abadom. Na língua grega ele se chama Apoliom. [Ambos ]nomes [significam Destruidor]. (Abyssos g12)
12 The first woe is past. Look! After this there are still two disasters to come.
Assim terminou o primeiro evento trágico. [Saibam], porém, que há mais dois que ainda vêm.
13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is present before God.
O sexto anjo tocou sua trombeta. Então ouvi uma voz dos quatro cantos do altar de ouro que fica na presença de Deus.
14 The voice said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River.”
A voz dizia ao sexto anjo, aquele que tinha a trombeta: “Solte os quatro anjos que estão presos {que prendi} no grande rio Eufrates”.
15 The four angels who had been prepared for that hour, that day, that month, and that year, were released to kill a third of mankind.
Os quatro anjos foram soltos, aqueles que tinham sido guardados {[Ele ]soltou os quatro anjos, os quais [Deus ]tinha guardado} para aquela [exata ]hora daquele dia, daquele mês e daquele ano. Eles foram soltos {Ele os soltou} para que eles pudessem capacitar [sua cavalaria a ]matar uma terça parte dos seres humanos [rebeldes].
16 The number of the soldiers on horseback was 200,000,000. I heard their number.
O número das tropas montados em cavalos, que assim fizeram, foi de 200.000.000. Ouvi [alguém dizer ]quantas houve.
17 This is how I saw the horses in my vision and those who rode on them: Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue and sulfurous yellow. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and sulfur.
Na visão vi o aspecto dos cavalos e dos [seres ]que neles montavam. Eles [vestiam ]couraças [vermelhas ]como fogo, de azul-escuro [como fumaça e amarelas ]como enxofre. A cabeça dos cavalos era parecida com a cabeça dos leões. Da boca deles saíam fogo, fumaça e [vapores de ]enxofre [que ardia].
18 A third of the people were killed by these three plagues: the fire, smoke, and sulfur that came out of their mouths.
Uma terça parte do povo [rebelde ]foi morta pelo fogo, a fumaça, e pelo enxofre [ardente ]da boca [dos cavalos ]{Esses três elementos—o fogo, a fumaça e o enxofre [ardente]—da boca [dos cavalos ]mataram a terça parte dos seres [rebeldes]}.
19 For the power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails—for their tails were like snakes, and they had heads with which they inflicted wounds on people.
O poder dos cavalos estava na boca e na cauda deles. As caudas tinham cabeças como cobras, pelas quais fazem mal às pessoas.
20 The rest of mankind, those who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the deeds they had done, nor did they stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—things that cannot see, hear, or walk.
Os demais [rebeldes], que não foram mortos pelo fogo e a fumaça e o enxofre ardente {a quem o fogo, a fumaça e o enxofre ardente não mataram} não se arrependeram do seu comportamento pecaminoso. [Eles não deixaram de adorar ]os ídolos feitos com as próprias mãos. Eles não quiseram deixar de cultuar os demônios e ídolos [feitos ]de ouro, prata, bronze, pedra e de madeira, [mesmo sendo estes apenas ídolos ]que nem podem ver, nem ouvir, nem andar.
21 Neither did they repent of their murders, their sorcery, their sexual immorality or their acts of theft.
Eles não deixaram de assassinar outras pessoas, nem de praticar feitiçaria, nem de agir de uma forma sexualmente imoral, nem de roubar [as posses das demais pessoas.]
