< Revelation 5 >

1 Then I saw in the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne a scroll written on the front and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
Hessafe guye, araata bolla uttidayssa ushachcha kushen giddoranne karera xaafettida laappun maatamen gorddettida xaatha maxaafaa be7as.
2 I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?”
Issi mino kiitanchchoy ba qaala dhoqqu oothidi, “Maatamiya billanawunne maxaafaa dooyanaw bessey oonee?” yaagidi awaajjishin be7as.
3 No one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to read it.
Shin salon gidin sa7an woykko sa7appe garssan gidin he xaatha maxaafaa billanawunne gidduwa be7anaw dandda7ey oonikka benttibeenna.
4 I wept bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to read it.
Xaatha maxaafaa billanawunne iya gidduwa be7anaw bessiya asi dhayida gisho ta daro yeekkas.
5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Yaatin, cimatappe issoy taakko, “Yeekkofa! Hekko, Yihuda zerethi gidiya gaammoy, Dawite sheeshay, laappun maatameta billanawunne maxaafaa dooyanaw dandda7is” yaagis.
6 I saw a Lamb standing in the middle of the throne area and among the four living creatures and among the elders. He looked as though he had been killed. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
Hessafe guye, shukettida Dorssay araatas, oyddu de7on de7iya medhetethatasinne cimatas giddon, eqqidayssa be7as. Iyaw laappun kacetinne laappun ayfeti de7oosona. Hessati sa7a ubbaa kiitettida Xoossaa laappun ayyaanata.
7 He went and took hold of the scroll out of the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne.
He Dorssay bidi, araata bolla uttidayssa ushachcha kusheppe xaatha maxaafaa ekkis.
8 When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp and a golden bowl full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
I he xaatha maxaafaa ekkida wode, de7on de7iya oyddu medhetethatinne laatamanne oyddu cimati Dorssa sinthan kunddidosona. Entti issoy issoy diithinne geeshshata woosaa gidida ixaaney kumida worqqa shaate oykkidosona.
9 They sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals. For you were slaughtered, and with your blood you purchased people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation.
Entti, “Xaatha maxaafaa ekkanaw, maatamiya billanaw new bessees. Ays giikko, neeni shukettadasa; zerethi ubbaafe, dumma dumma doonappe, yaratappenne kawotethata ubbaafe ne suuthan Xoossaas wozadasa.
10 You made them a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
Entti iya Xoossaa Aawas oothana mela enttana kahine kawotethi oothadasa. Enttika biitta ubbaa haarana” yaagidi ooratha mazmure yexxidosona.
11 Then I looked and heard the sound of many angels who encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. Their total number was ten thousands of ten thousands and thousands of thousands.
Ta be7iya wode mukulu toho mukulunne tammu mukulu toho tammu mukulu gidiya kiitanchchota girssaa si7as. Enttika araataa, oyddu de7on de7iya medhetethatanne, cimata yuushuwan eqqidosona.
12 They said in a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who has been slaughtered to receive power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise.”
He kiitanchchoti dhoqqu gida qaalan, “Shukettida Dorssay wolqqaa, duretethi, cinccatethinne minotethi, bonchcho, sabanne galataa ekkanaw bessees” yaagidosona.
13 I heard every created thing that was in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea—everything in them—saying, “To the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory, and the power to rule, forever and ever.” (aiōn g165)
Hessafe guye, sa7an, salon, sa7appe garssaninne abbaa giddon de7iya medhetetha ubbay, “Araata bolla uttidayssasinne Dorssas, galatay, bonchchoy, sabaynne wolqqay meri merinaw gido” yaagidi yexxishin si7as. (aiōn g165)
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
Oyddu de7on de7iya medhetethati, “Amin7i” yaagidosona; qassi cimati gufannidi goynnidosona.
