Revelation 20
1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven. He had the key to the bottomless pit, and he had a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos g12)
Et je vis un ange descendre du ciel, tenant la clef de l'abîme et une grande chaîne dans sa main. (Abyssos g12)
2 He took hold of the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
Et il se saisit du dragon, l'ancien serpent, qui est le diable et Satan, et il le lia pour mille ans;
3 He threw him into the bottomless pit. He shut it and sealed it over him. This was so that he would not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were over. After that, he must be set free for a short amount of time. (Abyssos g12)
et il le jeta dans l'abîme, et il l'enferma et le scella d'une manière permanente, afin qu'il n'égarât plus les nations, jusques à ce que les mille ans eussent été accomplis: après cela il faut qu'il soit délié pour un peu de temps. (Abyssos g12)
4 Then I saw thrones. Seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony about Jesus and for the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image, and they had refused to receive the mark on their forehead or hand. They came to life, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Et je vis des trônes; et ils s'assirent dessus, et il leur fut donné d'exercer le jugement; et je vis aussi les âmes de ceux auxquels on a fait la guerre à cause du témoignage de Jésus et de la parole de Dieu, et ceux entre autres qui n'ont point adoré la bête ni son image, et qui n'ont pas reçu sa marque sur leur front ni sur leur main; et ils vécurent et ils régnèrent avec le Christ pendant mille ans.
5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
Les autres morts ne vécurent point jusques à ce que les mille ans eussent été accomplis. C'est là la première résurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is anyone who takes part in the first resurrection! Over these the second death has no power. They will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
Heureux et saint celui qui a part à la première résurrection! La seconde mort n'a aucune autorité sur eux, mais ils seront prêtres de Dieu et du Christ, et ils règnent avec lui pendant mille ans.
7 When the thousand years come to an end, Satan will be released from his prison.
Et, quand les mille ans auront été accomplis, Satan sera élargi de sa prison,
8 He will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to bring them together for the battle. They will be as many as the sand of the sea.
et il sortira pour égarer les nations qui sont aux quatre coins de la terre, Gog et Magog, pour les rassembler pour la guerre, eux dont le nombre est comme le sable de la mer.
9 They went up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints, the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
Et ils montèrent sur la largeur de la terre, et ils investirent le camp des saints et la ville bien-aimée, et du feu descendit du ciel et il les consuma;
11 Then I saw a great white throne and the one who is seated on it. The earth and the heaven fled away from his presence, but there was no place for them to go.
Et je vis un grand trône blanc et Celui qui y était assis; de devant la face duquel s'enfuirent la terre et le ciel, et pour eux on ne trouva pas de place.
12 I saw the dead—the mighty and the unimportant—standing before the throne, and the books were opened. Then another book was opened—the Book of Life. The dead were judged by what was recorded in the books, according to their deeds.
Et je vis les morts, les grands et les petits, se tenant debout devant le trône, et des livres furent ouverts; et un autre livre fut ouvert, qui est le livre de vie, et les morts furent jugés selon leurs œuvres d'après ce qui est écrit dans les livres;
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and the dead were judged according to what they had done. (Hadēs g86)
et la mer rendit les morts qu'elle renferme, et la mort et le séjour des morts rendirent les morts qu'ils renferment, et ils furent jugés chacun selon leurs œuvres. (Hadēs g86)
