Psalms 96
1 Oh, sing to Yahweh a new song; sing to Yahweh, all the earth.
Pójte Gospodu novo pesem, po vsej zemlji pojte Gospodu.
2 Sing to Yahweh, bless his name; announce his salvation day after day.
Pojte Gospodu, blagoslavljajte ime njegovo, od dné do dné slavite blaginjo njegovo.
3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all the nations.
Oznanjujte med narodi čast njegovo, med vsemi ljudstvi čudovita dela njegova.
4 For Yahweh is great and is to be praised greatly. He is to be feared above all other gods.
Velik je Gospod in hvaljen silno, čestit nad vse bogove.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is Yahweh who made the heavens.
Ker vsi bogovi ljudstev so maliki, Gospod pa je naredil nebesa.
6 Splendor and majesty are in his presence. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Slava in lepota sta pred njim, moč in veličastvo v svetišči njegovem.
7 Ascribe to Yahweh, you clans of peoples, ascribe praise to Yahweh for his glory and strength.
Dajajte Gospodu, ljudstev rodovine, dajajte čast in hvalo Gospodu.
8 Give to Yahweh the glory that his name deserves. Bring an offering and come into his courts.
Dajajte Gospodu slavo njegovemu imenu; prinesite dar, in pridite k vežam njegovim.
9 Bow down to Yahweh in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.
Uklanjajte se Gospodu v diki svetosti; vsa zemlja trepetaj pred obličjem njegovim.
10 Say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns.” The world also is established; it cannot be shaken. He judges the peoples fairly.
Govorile med narodi: Gospod kraljuje, utrdil se bode tudi vesoljni svet, da ne omahne; sodil bode ljudstva pravično.
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar and that which fills it shout with joy.
Veselila se bodo nebesa, in zemlja se bode radovala: šumelo bode morje, in kar je v njem.
12 Let the fields rejoice and all that is in them. Then let all the trees in the forest shout for joy
Radovalo se bode polje in kar je na njem; tedaj bode prepevalo vse drevje v gozdu;
13 before Yahweh, for he is coming. He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his faithfulness.
Pred obličjem Gospodovim, ko bode prišel; ker sodit pride zemljo; sodil bode vesoljni svet po pravici, in ljudstva po zvestobi svoji.
