Psalms 96

1 Oh, sing to Yahweh a new song; sing to Yahweh, all the earth.

新しい歌を主にむかってうたえ。全地よ、主にむかってうたえ。

2 Sing to Yahweh, bless his name; announce his salvation day after day.

主にむかって歌い、そのみ名をほめよ。日ごとにその救を宣べ伝えよ。

3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all the nations.

もろもろの国の中にその栄光をあらわし、もろもろの民の中にそのくすしきみわざをあらわせ。

4 For Yahweh is great and is to be praised greatly. He is to be feared above all other gods.

主は大いなる神であって、いともほめたたうべきもの、もろもろの神にまさって恐るべき者である。

5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is Yahweh who made the heavens.

もろもろの民のすべての神はむなしい。しかし主はもろもろの天を造られた。

6 Splendor and majesty are in his presence. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

誉と、威厳とはそのみ前にあり、力と、うるわしさとはその聖所にある。

7 Ascribe to Yahweh, you clans of peoples, ascribe praise to Yahweh for his glory and strength.

もろもろの民のやからよ、主に帰せよ、栄光と力とを主に帰せよ。

8 Give to Yahweh the glory that his name deserves. Bring an offering and come into his courts.

そのみ名にふさわしい栄光を主に帰せよ。供え物を携えてその大庭にきたれ。

9 Bow down to Yahweh in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

聖なる装いをして主を拝め、全地よ、そのみ前におののけ。

10 Say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns.” The world also is established; it cannot be shaken. He judges the peoples fairly.

もろもろの国民の中に言え、「主は王となられた。世界は堅く立って、動かされることはない。主は公平をもってもろもろの民をさばかれる」と。

11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar and that which fills it shout with joy.

天は喜び、地は楽しみ、海とその中に満ちるものとは鳴りどよめき、

12 Let the fields rejoice and all that is in them. Then let all the trees in the forest shout for joy

田畑とその中のすべての物は大いに喜べ。そのとき、林のもろもろの木も主のみ前に喜び歌うであろう。

13 before Yahweh, for he is coming. He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his faithfulness.

主は来られる、地をさばくために来られる。主は義をもって世界をさばき、まことをもってもろもろの民をさばかれる。
