< Psalms 90 >
1 A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our refuge throughout all generations.
Onyankopɔn onipa Mose mpaeɛbɔ. Awurade, wo na woayɛ yɛn tenabea awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ nyinaa mu.
2 Before the mountains were formed, or you formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
Ansa na wɔrebɛbɔ mmepɔ anaasɛ worebɛda asase ne ewiase adi no, na woyɛ Onyankopɔn firi mmerɛsanten kɔsi mmerɛsanten.
3 You return man to dust, and you say, “Return, you descendants of mankind.”
Woma adasamma sane dane mfuturo, ka sɛ, “Ao adasamma, monsane nkɔ mfuturo mu.”
4 For a thousand years in your sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Mfirinhyia apem yɛ wʼani so sɛ da koro a abɛsene seesei, anaasɛ anadwo mu dɔnhwereɛ kakraa bi.
5 You sweep them away as with a flood and they sleep; in the morning they are like the grass that sprouts up.
Wopra nnipa kɔ, wɔ owuo nna mu; wɔte sɛ ɛserɛ a afefɛ anɔpa,
6 In the morning it blooms and grows up; in the evening it withers and dries up.
ɛfefɛ yɛ frɔmfrɔm anɔpa deɛ, nanso anwummerɛ ɛwo na ɛtwintwam.
7 Truly, we are consumed in your anger, and in your wrath we are terrified.
Yɛresa wɔ wʼabofuo ano na wʼanibereɛ abɔ yɛn hu.
8 You have set our iniquities before you, our hidden sins in the light of your presence.
Wode yɛn amumuyɛ asi wʼanim, na yɛn kɔkoam bɔne da wʼanim hann no mu.
9 Our life passes away under your wrath; our years quickly pass like a sigh.
Yɛn nna nyinaa twam wɔ wʼabufuhyeɛ mu; na yɛde awerɛhoɔdie na ɛwie yɛn mfeɛ.
10 Our years are seventy, or even eighty if we are healthy; but even our best years are marked by trouble and sorrow. Yes, they pass quickly, and we fly away.
Yɛn nkwa nna si mfeɛ aduɔson, anaasɛ aduɔwɔtwe, sɛ yɛwɔ ahoɔden a; na emu ahohoahoadeɛ yɛ ɔhaw ne awerɛhoɔ, na ɛtwam ntɛm ntɛm, na yɛtu kɔ.
11 Who knows the intensity of your anger, and your wrath that is equal to the fear of you?
Hwan na ɔnim wʼabofuo mu tumi? Wʼabofuhyeɛ yɛ kɛseɛ sɛdeɛ wo ho suro teɛ.
12 So teach us to consider our life so that we might live wisely.
Ma yɛnhunu yɛn nna kan sɛdeɛ ɛteɛ, na yɛanya nyansa akoma.
13 Turn back, Yahweh! How long will it be? Have pity on your servants.
Sane bra, Ao Awurade, ɛbɛkɔ so akɔsi da bɛn? Hunu wʼasomfoɔ mmɔbɔ.
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your covenant faithfulness so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Ma wʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no mmee yɛn adekyeɛ mu, na yɛde anigyeɛ ato dwom adi ahurisie yɛn nna nyinaa mu.
15 Make us glad in proportion to the days you afflicted us and to the years we have experienced trouble.
Ma yɛn ani nnye nna bebree sɛ nna dodoɔ a wode yɛn kɔɔ amanehunu mu no, sɛ mfirinhyia dodoɔ a yɛhunuu ateeteeɛ no.
16 Let your servants see your work, and let our children see your majesty.
Ma wʼasomfoɔ nhunu wo nneyɛɛ na wɔn mma nhunu wʼanimuonyam.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God be ours; prosper the work of our hands; indeed, prosper the work of our hands.
Ma Awurade yɛn Onyankopɔn adom no ntena yɛn so; na yɛn nsa ano adwuma nyɛ yie mma yɛn aane, yɛn nsa ano adwuma nyɛ yie.
