Psalms 90
1 A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our refuge throughout all generations.
Una oración de Moisés, el hombre de Dios. Señor, ¡A través de cada generación has sido un “hogar” para nosotros!
2 Before the mountains were formed, or you formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
Antes de que las montañas nacieran, antes de que trajeras al mundo la tierra y el universo, desde la eternidad pasada, hasta la eternidad futura, haz sido Dios.
3 You return man to dust, and you say, “Return, you descendants of mankind.”
Llevas a la gente nuevamente al polvo, diciendo, “Vuelvan al polvo, seres humanos”.
4 For a thousand years in your sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
A tus ojos, mil años son solo como un día que se fue; como pocas horas que pasan por la noche.
5 You sweep them away as with a flood and they sleep; in the morning they are like the grass that sprouts up.
Llevas la vida de las personas a un repentino final, como un sueño que se desvanece. Ellos son como la grama que crece en la mañana,
6 In the morning it blooms and grows up; in the evening it withers and dries up.
que brota muy temprano, fresca y nueva, pero por la tarde esta marchita y muerta.
7 Truly, we are consumed in your anger, and in your wrath we are terrified.
Somos quemados por tu ira, aterrorizados por tu furia.
8 You have set our iniquities before you, our hidden sins in the light of your presence.
Tú has puesto nuestros pecados delante de ti, nuestros más profundos secretos son revelados a la luz de tu presencia.
9 Our life passes away under your wrath; our years quickly pass like a sigh.
Nuestras vidas se desvanecen bajo tu ira, llegando a su final tan rápido como un respiro.
10 Our years are seventy, or even eighty if we are healthy; but even our best years are marked by trouble and sorrow. Yes, they pass quickly, and we fly away.
Vivimos por setenta años, ochenta si tenemos la fuerza. Pero incluso en el mejor momento de la vida, todo lo que tenemos son dificultades y sufrimiento. Pronto nuestras vidas llegan a su fin y nos hemos ido.
11 Who knows the intensity of your anger, and your wrath that is equal to the fear of you?
¿Quién puede conocer el poder de tu ira? ¿Quién puede entender tu furia de tal forma que te rinda reverencia?
12 So teach us to consider our life so that we might live wisely.
¡Enséñanos a vivir cada uno de nuestros días para que podamos vivir de manera sabia!
13 Turn back, Yahweh! How long will it be? Have pity on your servants.
Señor, ¿Cuánto tiempo pasará antes de que vengas a nosotros y tengas lástima con tus siervos?
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your covenant faithfulness so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Muéstranos cada mañana tu gran amor para que seamos felices, llena de alegría nuestras vidas.
15 Make us glad in proportion to the days you afflicted us and to the years we have experienced trouble.
¡Haznos alegrar por la cantidad de días que estuvimos tristes, por todos los años que sufrimos!
16 Let your servants see your work, and let our children see your majesty.
Que nosotros, tus siervos, veamos otra vez tus obras por nosotros que nuestros hijos vean tu gloria.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God be ours; prosper the work of our hands; indeed, prosper the work of our hands.
Que nuestro señor y Dios se complazca con nosotros, bendiciendo cada cosa que hagamos, bendiciendo cada cosa que hagamos.
