Psalms 90

1 A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our refuge throughout all generations.

ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

2 Before the mountains were formed, or you formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ಹುಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆಯೂ ನೀವು ಲೋಕವನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆಯೂ ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ನೀವು ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

3 You return man to dust, and you say, “Return, you descendants of mankind.”

ನೀವು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಮಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. “ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರರೇ, ಮಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.

4 For a thousand years in your sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ಒಂದು ದಿವಸದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಜಾವದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇವೆ.

5 You sweep them away as with a flood and they sleep; in the morning they are like the grass that sprouts up.

ನೀವು ಜನರನ್ನು ಮರಣ ನಿದ್ರೆಯ ಪ್ರವಾಹದಂತೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಅನುಮತಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಅವರು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

6 In the morning it blooms and grows up; in the evening it withers and dries up.

ಅದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಳಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಣಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.

7 Truly, we are consumed in your anger, and in your wrath we are terrified.

ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೇಸರದಿಂದ ಬಾಧಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಖಂಡನೆಯಿಂದ ತಲ್ಲಣಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

8 You have set our iniquities before you, our hidden sins in the light of your presence.

ನಮ್ಮ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಾವು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪಾಪಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ.

9 Our life passes away under your wrath; our years quickly pass like a sigh.

ನಮ್ಮ ದಿವಸಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಖಂಡನೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ದಾಟಿಹೋದವು. ನಮ್ಮ ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಟ್ಟುಸಿರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

10 Our years are seventy, or even eighty if we are healthy; but even our best years are marked by trouble and sorrow. Yes, they pass quickly, and we fly away.

ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ದಿನಗಳು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ, ಬಲದಿಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಂಬತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಉತ್ತಮ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಷ್ಟವೂ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳು ಬೇಗ ತೀರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ. ನಾವು ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ.

11 Who knows the intensity of your anger, and your wrath that is equal to the fear of you?

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೋಪದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದವರ‍್ಯಾರು? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿನ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಖಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವವರ‍್ಯಾರು?

12 So teach us to consider our life so that we might live wisely.

ನಾವು ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವ ಹಾಗೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿಕೊಡಿರಿ.

13 Turn back, Yahweh! How long will it be? Have pity on your servants.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಎಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಕಂಪ ತೋರಿಸಿರಿ.

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your covenant faithfulness so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಿರಿ. ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಗೈದು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವೆವು.

15 Make us glad in proportion to the days you afflicted us and to the years we have experienced trouble.

ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ಹರ್ಷಗೊಳಿಸಿರಿ. ನಾವು ತೊಂದರೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸಿರಿ.

16 Let your servants see your work, and let our children see your majesty.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿರಿ. ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಭೆಯೂ ತೋರಿ ಬರಲಿ.

17 May the favor of the Lord our God be ours; prosper the work of our hands; indeed, prosper the work of our hands.

ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿರಿ. ಹೌದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರಿ.
