Psalms 83
1 A song. A psalm of Asaph. God, do not be silent! Do not ignore us and remain unmoved, God.
Pieśń i psalm Asafa. Boże, nie milcz; nie bądź głuchy i bezczynny, Boże!
2 Look, your enemies are making a commotion, and those who hate you have raised their heads.
Bo oto burzą się twoi wrogowie, a ci, którzy cię nienawidzą, podnoszą głowę.
3 They conspire against your people and plan together against your protected ones.
Przeciwko twemu ludowi knują spisek i naradzali się przeciw tym, których ochraniasz;
4 They have said, “Come, and let us destroy them as a nation. Then the name of Israel will no longer be remembered.”
Mówiąc: Chodźcie, wytępmy ich, niech nie będą narodem, żeby więcej nie wspominano imienia Izraela.
5 They have schemed together with one strategy; against you they have made an alliance.
Zmówili się bowiem jednomyślnie, przeciwko tobie zawarli przymierze:
6 This includes the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, and the people of Moab and the Hagrites, who plot together with
Namioty Edomitów i Izmaelitów, Moab i Hagaryci;
7 Gebal, Ammon, Amalek; it also includes Philistia and the inhabitants of Tyre.

8 Assyria also is allied with them; they are helping the descendants of Lot. (Selah)
Także Assur przyłączył się do nich, wsparł [swym] ramieniem synów Lota. (Sela)
9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as you did to Sisera and to Jabin at the Kishon River.
Uczyń im [tak], jak Midianitom, jak Syserze, jak Jabinowi nad potokiem Kiszon;
10 They perished at Endor and became like manure for the earth.
Którzy zostali wytępieni w Endor, stali się jak gnój dla ziemi.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna.
Z ich dostojnikami postąp jak z Orebem i Zeebem, jak z Zebachem i Salmunną, ze wszystkimi ich książętami;
12 They said, “Let us take for ourselves the pastures of God.”

13 My God, make them like the whirling dust, like chaff before the wind,
Mój Boże, uczyń ich jak koło i jak źdźbło na wietrze.
14 like the fire that burns the forest, and like the flame that sets the mountains on fire.
Jak ogień, który pali las, i jak płomień, [który] wypala góry;
15 Chase them with your strong wind, and terrify them with your windstorm.
Tak ty ich ścigaj swoją nawałnicą i swoją burzą zatrwóż ich.
16 Fill their faces with shame so that they might seek your name, Yahweh.
Okryj ich twarze hańbą, aby szukali twego imienia, PANIE!
17 May they be put to shame and be terrified forever; may they perish in disgrace.
Niech się zawstydzą i zatrwożą na wieki, niech się okryją hańbą i zginą.
18 Then they will know that you alone, Yahweh, are the Most High over all the earth.
Niech poznają, że jedynie ty, którego imię jest PAN, ty jesteś Najwyższy ponad całą ziemią.
