Psalms 70

1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David; to bring to remembrance. Save me, God! Yahweh, come quickly and help me.

Til Sangmesteren; af David; „til Ihukommelse”.

2 Let those who try to take my life be ashamed and humiliated; let them be turned back and brought to dishonor, those who take pleasure in my pain.

Gud! kom at fri mig; Herre! skynd dig at hjælpe mig!

3 Let them be turned back because of their shame, those who say, “Aha, aha.”

Lad dem blues og blive beskæmmede, som søge efter mit Liv; lad dem vige tilbage og blive til Skamme, som have Lyst til min Ulykke.

4 Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let those who love your salvation always say, “May God be praised.”

Lad dem vende tilbage for deres Skændsels Skyld, de, som sige: Ha, ha!

5 But I am poor and needy; hurry to me, God; you are my help and you rescue me. Yahweh, do not delay.

Lad dem frydes og glædes i dig, alle de, som søge dig; lad dem, som elske din Frelse, altid sige: Gud være storlig lovet! Men jeg er elendig og fattig; Gud! skynd dig til mig; du er min Hjælp, og den, som udfrier mig; Herre! tøv ikke!
