< Psalms 7 >

1 A musical composition of David, which he sang to Yahweh concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. Yahweh my God, I take refuge in you! Save me from all who chase me, and rescue me.
Shiigaayoonni Daawit kan inni waaʼee Kuushi namicha gosa Beniyaamiif jedhee Waaqayyoof faarfate. Yaa Waaqayyo Waaqa ko, ani kooluu sitti nan gala; warra na ariʼatan hunda jalaa na baasi; na oolchis;
2 Otherwise, they will rip me apart like a lion, tearing me in pieces with no one else able to bring me to safety.
yoo kanaa achii isaan yeroo namni na oolchu hin jirretti, akka leencaa na cicciratu; na kukkutatus.
3 Yahweh my God, if I have done this, and there is guilt on my hands—
Yaa Waaqayyo Waaqa ko, yoo ani waan kana godhee jiraadhe yoo harka koo keessa yakki jiraate,
4 if I have done evil to him who was at peace with me, or senselessly harmed my enemy without cause, then hear my words.
yoo ani nama nagaadhaan na wajjin jiraatutti hamaa hojjedhee jiraadhe, yookaan yoo ani sababii malee diina koo saamee jiraadhe,
5 Then let my enemy pursue my life and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and lay my honor in the dust. (Selah)
diinni koo ariʼee na haa qabatu; jireenya koo lafatti haa dhidhiitu; ulfina koos awwaara keessa haa buusu.
6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger; stand up against the rage of my enemies; wake up for my sake and carry out the righteous decrees that you have commanded for them.
Yaa Waaqayyo aarii keetiin kaʼi; dheekkamsa diinota kootti kaʼi. Yaa Waaqa koo anaaf dammaqi; murtii qajeelaa labsi.
7 The countries are assembled all around you; take once more your rightful place over them.
Yaaʼiin namootaa naannoo keetti walitti haa qabamu; atis ol gubbaadhaa isaan bulchi.
8 Yahweh, judge the nations; vindicate me, Yahweh, because I am righteous and innocent, Most High.
Waaqayyo sabootaaf murtii haa kennu. Yaa Waaqayyo, akka qajeelummaa kootiitti, akka amanamummaa kootiittis naa murteessi.
9 May the evil deeds of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous people, righteous God, you who examine hearts and minds.
Yaa Waaqa qajeelaa, kan yaadaa fi garaa namaa qortu, fincila hamootaa balleessi; qajeeltota immoo jabeessii dhaabi.
10 My shield comes from God, the one who saves the upright in heart.
Gaachanni koo Waaqa; inni gara toleeyyii ni oolcha.
11 God is a righteous judge, a God who is indignant each day.
Waaqni abbaa murtii qajeelaa dha; inni Waaqa guyyaa hunda dheekkamsa isaa mulʼisuu dha.
12 If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword and will prepare his bow for battle.
Yoo namni qalbii jijjiirrachuu baate, inni goraadee isaa ni qarata; iddaa isaas dabsee qopheeffata.
13 He prepares to use weapons against him; he makes his arrows flaming shafts.
Inni meeshaa nama ajjeesu qopheeffateera; xiyya bobaʼus ni qopheeffata.
14 Think about the one who is pregnant with wickedness, who conceives destructive plans, who gives birth to harmful lies.
Kunoo, namni hamaan hammina ulfaaʼa; jalʼina garaatti baata; soba dhala.
15 He digs a pit and hollows it out and then falls into the hole he has made.
Inni gad fageessee boolla qota; boolla qopheesse sana keessas ni buʼa.
16 His own destructive plans return to his own head, for his violence comes down on his own head.
Dabni isaa matuma isaatti deebiʼa; jalʼinni isaas gubbee mataa isaa irra buʼa.
17 I will give thanks to Yahweh for his justice; I will sing praise to Yahweh Most High.
Qajeelummaa isaatiif Waaqayyoon nan galateeffadha; maqaa Waaqayyoo Waaqa Waan Hundaa Oliis faarfannaadhaan nan jajadha.
