< Psalms 7 >
1 A musical composition of David, which he sang to Yahweh concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. Yahweh my God, I take refuge in you! Save me from all who chase me, and rescue me.
Daid ih Shiggaion laa; Benjamin acaeng Kush ih lokthuihaih to anih mah Angraeng khaeah laa ah sak. Angraeng ka Sithaw, nang khaeah ka buep: kai pacaekthlaek kaminawk boih ban thung hoiah na pahlong ah loe, na loisak ah.
2 Otherwise, they will rip me apart like a lion, tearing me in pieces with no one else able to bring me to safety.
To tih ai nahaeloe misa mah kaipui baktiah ka hinghaih to asik pet tih boeh.
3 Yahweh my God, if I have done this, and there is guilt on my hands—
Aw Angraeng ka Sithaw, hae hmuen ka sak pongah, ka ban ah zaehaih to oh moeng moe,
4 if I have done evil to him who was at peace with me, or senselessly harmed my enemy without cause, then hear my words.
kai hoi angdaeh kami khaeah ka sae hmuen to ka sak, ue, takung tidoeh om ai ah, ka misa ih hmuen to ka lomh pae moeng nahaeloe;
5 Then let my enemy pursue my life and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and lay my honor in the dust. (Selah)
ka misa mah ka hinghaih to la nasoe loe, pacaekthlaek nasoe; ue, ka hinghaih long ah atii nasoe loe, kai pakoehhaih to maiphu ah suem nasoe. (Selah)
6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger; stand up against the rage of my enemies; wake up for my sake and carry out the righteous decrees that you have commanded for them.
Aw Angraeng, palungphuihaih hoiah angthawk ah loe, ka misanawk palungphuihaih to pakaa ah: kai han angthawk ah loe, na thuih ih lok baktih toengah lok to takroek ah.
7 The countries are assembled all around you; take once more your rightful place over them.
Kaminawk loe amkhueng o moe, nang ang ven o; nihcae han hmuensang ah amlaem let ah.
8 Yahweh, judge the nations; vindicate me, Yahweh, because I am righteous and innocent, Most High.
Angraeng mah kaminawk to lokcaek tih: aw Angraeng, ka toenghaih hoi kai thungah kaom akoephaih baktih toengah, nang mah lokcaek ah.
9 May the evil deeds of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous people, righteous God, you who examine hearts and minds.
Kami poekhaih khenkung, poeksae kami sethaih to boengsak ah loe, katoeng kami to caksak ah: aw katoeng Sithaw, nang loe palungthin ni na khet.
10 My shield comes from God, the one who saves the upright in heart.
Poek toeng kaminawk pahlongkung Sithaw loe, kang vaenghaih ah oh.
11 God is a righteous judge, a God who is indignant each day.
Sithaw loe lokcaekkung katoeng ah oh, poeksae kami nuiah loe ni thokkruek palungphuihaih to amtuengsak.
12 If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword and will prepare his bow for battle.
Anih amlaem let ai nahaeloe, angmah ih sumsen to taak tih; angmah ih kalii to takoih ueloe, suem coek tih.
13 He prepares to use weapons against him; he makes his arrows flaming shafts.
Anih hanah duekhaih hmuennawk to paroep pae moe, pacaekthlaek kaminawk kah hanah angmah ih kaliinawk to pathoep coek boeh.
14 Think about the one who is pregnant with wickedness, who conceives destructive plans, who gives birth to harmful lies.
Khenah, anih loe kasae to zokpomh; kasae poekhaih hoiah zokpomh moe, amrohaih to tacawtsak.
15 He digs a pit and hollows it out and then falls into the hole he has made.
Anih loe tangqom to takaeh moe, a takaeh ih tangqom thungah krak.
16 His own destructive plans return to his own head, for his violence comes down on his own head.
A poeksethaih to angmah ih lu nuiah krah let ueloe, minawk nganbawh kana paekhaih doeh a lu nuiah krah lat tih.
17 I will give thanks to Yahweh for his justice; I will sing praise to Yahweh Most High.
A toenghaih baktih toengah Angraeng to ka saphaw moe, Sang Koek Angraeng ih ahmin pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
