Psalms 68
1 For the chief musician; A psalm of David, a song. Let God arise; let his enemies be scattered; let those also who hate him flee before him.
Para el director del coro. Un salmo de David. Un cántico. Levántate, Dios, y dispersa a tus enemigos. ¡Que todos los que odian a Dios, huyan de su presencia!
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish in the presence of God.
Sóplalos y disípalos como si fueran solo humo; derrítelos como la cera en el fuego. Que los malvados mueran ante la presencia de Dios.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; may they rejoice and be happy.
Pero los justos están felices, y celebran en la presencia de Dios, llenos de alegría.
4 Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! Praise the one who rides through the plains of the Jordan River valley! Yahweh is his name! Rejoice before him!
¡Canten alabanzas a Dios! ¡Canten alabanzas a su maravilloso nombre! ¡Alaben al que cabalga entre las nubes. ¡Su nombre es El Señor ¡Alégrense en su presencia!
5 A father of the fatherless, a judge of the widows, is God in the holy place where he lives.
Él es el padre de los huérfanos y protector de las viudas. Este es Dios, el que vive en su lugar santo.
6 God puts the lonely into families; he brings out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a parched land.
Dios provee una familia para los abandonados. Libera a los prisioneros y los hace celebrar con gozo. Pero los rebeldes terminan viviendo en un terreno baldío y solitario.
7 God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness, (Selah)
Dios, cuando sacaste a tu pueblo, cuando marchaste por el desierto, (Selah)
8 The earth trembled; the heavens also dropped rain in God's presence, in the presence of God when he came to Sinai, in the presence of God, the God of Israel.
la tierra tembló y los cielos se sacudieron ante tu presencia en el Sinaí. Ante Dios, el Dios de Israel.
9 You, God, sent a plentiful rain; you strengthened your inheritance when it was weary.
Tú enviaste abundante lluvia para regar la tierra prometida, refrescándola cuando estuvo seca.
10 Your people lived in it; You, God, gave from your goodness to the poor.
Tu pueblo se estableció allí y por tu bondad, oh Dios, cuidaste de los pobres. (Selah)
11 The Lord gave the orders, and those who announced them were a great army.
El Señor con su palabra ordena un gran ejército de mujeres que predican las buenas noticias.
12 Kings of armies flee, they flee, and the women waiting at home divide the plunder:
Los reyes de los ejércitos enemigos huyen, y las mujeres que se quedaron se repartieron el botín.
13 doves covered with silver with wings of yellow gold. When some of you people stayed among the sheepfolds, why did you do this?
¿Por qué se quedan ustedes en casa? Hay decoraciones en forma de palomas con alas de plata y plumas de oro que deben tomarse.
14 The Almighty scattered kings there, it was as when it snowed on Mount Zalmon.
El Todopoderoso dispersó a los reyes extranjeros como una tormenta de nieve sobre el Monte Salmón.
15 A mighty mountain is the hill country of Bashan; a high mountain is the hill country of Bashan.
“El Monte de Dios”, El Monte Basán, con sus muchas cumbres, Monte Basán,
16 Why do you look in envy, you high hill country, at the mountain which God desires for the place he will live? Indeed, Yahweh will live in it forever.
¿por qué miras con celo al Monte de Dios, donde el Señor vivirá para siempre?
17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them in the holy place, as at Sinai.
Los carruajes de Dios son incontables. Hay miles de miles de ellos. Él viene entre ellos hasta El Monte Sinai, hasta su Templo.
18 You have ascended on high; you have led away captives; you have received gifts from among men, even from those who fought against you, so that you, Yahweh God, might live there.
Al subir tu trono en las alturas, te llevaste una procesión de cautivos. Recibiste regalos de los pueblos, incluso de los que se rebelaron contra la casa del Señor Dios.
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens, the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
Sea el Señor bendito, porque cada día soporta nuestras cargas. Dios es nuestra salvación. (Selah)
20 Our God is a God who saves; Yahweh the Lord is the one who is able to rescue us from death.
Para nosotros, Dios es un Dios que salva. El Señor Dios nos provee un escape de la muerte.
21 But God will strike through the heads of his enemies, through the hairy scalps of those who walk in offenses against him.
Pero Dios aplastará las cabezas de sus enemigos, esas cabezas con abundante cabello de quienes seguirán pecando.
22 The Lord said, “I will bring my enemies back from Bashan; I will bring them back from the depths of the sea
El Señor dice: “Yo los traeré de Basán. Los arrastraré desde las profundidades el mar,
23 so that you may crush your enemies, dipping your foot in blood, and so that the tongues of your dogs may have their share from your enemies.”
y ustedes, pueblo mío, caminarán en su sangre. Incluso los perros tendrán una porción de los enemigos de mi pueblo”.
24 They have seen your processions, God, the processions of my God, my King, into the holy place.
La gente puede ver tu procesión, oh Dios, la procesión de mi Dios y mi Rey que se dirige al Templo.
25 The singers went first, the minstrels followed after, and in the middle were the unmarried girls playing tambourines.
Los cantantes van al frente, los músicos van detrás, y en el medio las jóvenes con panderetas.
26 Bless God in the assemblies; praise Yahweh, you who are from the fountain of Israel.
Alaben a Dios, todos los que han venido a adorar. Alaben al Señor todos los hijos del pueblo de Israel.
27 There is first Benjamin, the smallest tribe, then the leaders of Judah and their multitudes, the leaders of Zebulun and the leaders of Naphtali.
Allí se ve la pequeña tribu de Benjamín, seguida de los muchos líderes de Judá; luego los líderes de Zabulón y Neftalí.
28 Your God, Israel, has decreed your strength; reveal to us your power, God, as you have revealed it in times past.
Muestra tu poder, oh Dios. Revela tu fuerza, Señor, como lo has hecho con nosotros en el pasado.
29 Reveal your power to us from your temple at Jerusalem, where kings bring gifts to you.
Los reyes te rinden tributo por tu Templo en Jerusalén.
30 Shout in battle against the wild beasts in the reeds, against the peoples, that multitude of bulls and calves. Humiliate them and make them bring you gifts; scatter the peoples who love to wage war.
¡Condena a las bestias de los montes, a los bueyes y terneros! Sean humillados y traigan barras de plata como tributo a ti! ¡Dispersa, Señor, a las naciones sanguinarias!
31 Princes will come out of Egypt; Cush will hurry to reach out with her hands to God.
¡Que venga Egipto con regalos de bronce; que se apresure Etiopía en traer sus tributos a Dios!
32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; (Selah) Sing praises to Yahweh.
Canten a Dios, reinos de la tierra, canten alabanzas al Señor. (Selah)
33 To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which exist from ancient times; see, he lifts up his voice with power.
¡Canten al que cabalga por los cielos, su fuerte voz suena como el trueno!
34 Ascribe strength to God; his majesty is over Israel, and his strength is in the skies.
Que todos conozcan el poder de Dios: su majestad se extiende por todo Israel, y su fuerza se revela en los cielos.
35 God, you are fearsome in your holy place; the God of Israel—he gives strength and power to his people. Blessed be God.
¡Cuán asombroso es Dios en su Templo! ¡El Dios de Israel le da fuerza y poder a su pueblo! ¡Alaben a Dios!
