Psalms 66
1 For the chief musician. A song, a psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth;
Naredite radosten glas Bogu, vse ve dežele,
2 Sing out the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.
pojte čast njegovemu imenu, njegovo hvalo naredite veličastno.
3 Say to God, “How terrifying are your deeds! By the greatness of your power your enemies will submit to you.
Recite Bogu: »Kako strašen si v svojih delih! Zaradi veličine tvoje moči se ti bodo podredili tvoji sovražniki.
4 All the earth will worship you and will sing to you; they will sing to your name.” (Selah)
Vsa zemlja te bo oboževala in ti prepevala, prepevali bodo k tvojemu imenu.« (Sela)
5 Come and see the works of God; he is fearsome in his deeds toward the sons of mankind.

6 He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there we rejoiced in him.

7 He rules forever by his might; his eyes observe the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves. (Selah)

8 Give blessing to God, you people, let the sound of his praise be heard.
Oh blagoslavljajte našega Boga, ve ljudstva in storite, da se sliši glas njegove hvale,
9 He keeps us among the living, and he does not permit our feet to slip.

10 For you, God, have tested us; you have tested us as silver is tested.
Kajti ti, oh Bog, si nas potrdil, preizkusil si nas, kakor je preizkušeno srebro.
11 You brought us into a net; you laid a heavy burden on our backs.
Privedel si nas v mrežo, na naša ledja polagaš stisko.
12 You made people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us out into a spacious place.

13 I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows

14 which my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in distress.

15 I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals with the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls and goats. (Selah)

16 Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.
Pridite in prisluhnite vsi vi, ki se bojite Boga in oznanil vam bom, kaj je storil za mojo dušo.
17 I cried to him with my mouth, and he was praised with my tongue.

18 If I had seen sin within my heart, the Lord would not have listened to me.
Če v svojem srcu upoštevam krivičnost, me Gospod ne bo uslišal,
19 But God has truly heard; he has paid attention to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer or his covenant faithfulness from me.
Blagoslovljen bodi Bog, ki ni odklonil moje molitve niti svojega usmiljenja od mene.
