Psalms 66
1 For the chief musician. A song, a psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth;
Davidin Psalmi ja veisu, edelläveisaajalle. Ihastukaa Jumalalle, kaikki maa.
2 Sing out the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.
Veisatkaat kiitosta hänen nimensä kunniaksi, ylistäkäät häntä suuresti.
3 Say to God, “How terrifying are your deeds! By the greatness of your power your enemies will submit to you.
Sanokaat Jumalalle: kuinka ihmeelliset ovat sinun työs! sinun vihollisiltas pitää puuttuman, sinun suuren väkes tähden.
4 All the earth will worship you and will sing to you; they will sing to your name.” (Selah)
Kaikki maa kumartakoon sinua, ja veisatkaan kiitosta sinun nimelles, (Sela)
5 Come and see the works of God; he is fearsome in his deeds toward the sons of mankind.
Tulkaat ja katsokaat Jumalan tekoja, joka niin ihmeellinen on töissänsä ihmisten lasten seassa.
6 He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there we rejoiced in him.
Hän muuttaa meren kuivaksi, niin että jalkaisin käydään veden ylitse: siitä me hänessä iloitsemme.
7 He rules forever by his might; his eyes observe the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves. (Selah)

8 Give blessing to God, you people, let the sound of his praise be heard.

9 He keeps us among the living, and he does not permit our feet to slip.

10 For you, God, have tested us; you have tested us as silver is tested.
Sillä sinä, Jumala, olet meitä koetellut, ja valanut meitä niinkuin hopia valetaan.
11 You brought us into a net; you laid a heavy burden on our backs.
Sinä veit meitä vankeuteen, ja panit kuorman meidän lanteillemme.
12 You made people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us out into a spacious place.
Sinä olet antanut ihmiset meidän päämme päällitse mennä: me olemme tuleen ja veteen tulleet, mutta sinä veit meitä ulos, ja virvoitit.
13 I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows

14 which my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in distress.
Joita minun huuleni lupasivat, ja minun suuni puhunut on tuskassani.
15 I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals with the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls and goats. (Selah)
Lihavat polttouhrit minä teen sinulle oinasten suitsutuksella: minä uhraan sinulle naudat kauristen kanssa, (Sela)
16 Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.
Tulkaat, kuulkaat te kaikki, jotka Jumalaa pelkäätte: minä ilmoitan, mitä hän minun sielulleni on tehnyt.
17 I cried to him with my mouth, and he was praised with my tongue.
Häntä minä suullani huusin, ja ylistin kielelläni.
18 If I had seen sin within my heart, the Lord would not have listened to me.
Jos minä jotakin vääryyttä pitäisin sydämessäni, niin ei Herra minua kuulisi.
19 But God has truly heard; he has paid attention to the voice of my prayer.
Sentähden Jumala on minua kuullut, ja ottanut vaarin minun rukoukseni äänestä.
20 Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer or his covenant faithfulness from me.
Kiitetty olkoon Jumala, joka ei hylkää rukoustani, eikä käännä laupiuttansa pois minusta!
