< Psalms 65 >

1 For the chief musician. A psalm. A song of David. For you, God in Zion, our praise waits; our vows will be carried out to you.
TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. A SONG. To You, silence [and] praise, O God, in Zion, And to You a vow is completed.
2 You who hear prayer, to you all flesh will come.
Hearer of prayer, all flesh comes to You.
3 Iniquities prevail against us; as for our transgressions, you will forgive them.
Matters of iniquities were mightier than I, Our transgressions—You cover them.
4 Blessed is the man whom you choose to bring near to you so that he may live in your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.
O the blessedness of [him whom] You choose, And draw near, he inhabits Your courts, We are satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.
5 In righteousness you will answer us by doing amazing things, God of our salvation; you who are hope of all the ends of the earth and of those who are far across the sea.
By fearful things in righteousness You answer us, O God of our salvation, The confidence of all far off The ends of the earth and sea.
6 For it is you who made the mountains firm, you who are belted with strength.
Establishing mountains by His power, He has been girded with might,
7 It is you who quiet the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the commotion of the peoples.
Restraining the noise of seas, the noise of their billows, And the multitude of the peoples.
8 Those who live in the uttermost parts of the earth are afraid of the evidence of your deeds; you make the east and the west rejoice.
And the inhabitants of the uttermost parts Are afraid from Your signs, You cause the outgoings of morning and evening to sing.
9 You come to help the earth; you water it; you greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; you provide mankind grain when you have prepared the earth.
You have inspected the earth, and water it, You make it very rich, the stream of God [is] full of water, You prepare their grain, When thus You prepare it,
10 You water its furrows abundantly; you settle down the furrows' ridges; you make them soft with rain showers; you bless the sprouts between them.
Its ridges have been filled, Its furrow has been deepened, You soften it with showers, Its springing up You bless.
11 You crown the year with your goodness, and your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.
You have crowned the year of Your goodness, And Your paths drop fatness.
12 The pastures in the wilderness drip with dew, and the hills are clothed with joy.
The pastures of a wilderness drop, And You gird the hills with joy.
13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with grain; they shout for joy, and they sing.
The meadows are clothed with the flock, And valleys are covered with grain, They shout—indeed, they sing!
