Psalms 55
1 For the chief musician; on stringed instruments. A maschil of David. Give ear to my prayer, God; and do not hide yourself from my plea.
聖歌隊の指揮者によって琴をもってうたわせたダビデのマスキールの歌 神よ、わたしの祈に耳を傾けてください。わたしの願いを避けて身を隠さないでください。
2 Pay attention to me and answer me; I have no rest in my troubles
わたしにみこころをとめ、わたしに答えてください。わたしは悩みによって弱りはて、
3 because of the voice of my enemies, because of the oppression of the wicked; for they bring trouble on me and persecute me in anger.
敵の声と、悪しき者のしえたげとによって気が狂いそうです。彼らはわたしに悩みを臨ませ、怒ってわたしを苦しめるからです。
4 My heart trembles within me, and the terrors of death have fallen on me.
わたしの心はわがうちにもだえ苦しみ、死の恐れがわたしの上に落ちました。
5 Fearfulness and trembling have come on me, and horror has overwhelmed me.
恐れとおののきがわたしに臨み、はなはだしい恐れがわたしをおおいました。
6 I said, “Oh, if only I had wings like a dove! Then would I fly away and be at rest.
わたしは言います、「どうか、はとのように翼をもちたいものだ。そうすればわたしは飛び去って安きを得るであろう。
7 See, then I would wander far away; I would stay in the wilderness. (Selah)
わたしは遠くのがれ去って、野に宿ろう。 (セラ)
8 I would hurry to a shelter from the stormy wind and tempest.”
わたしは急ぎ避難して、はやてとあらしをのがれよう」と。
9 Devour them, Lord, confuse their language! For I have seen violence and strife in the city.
主よ、彼らのはかりごとを打ち破ってください。彼らの舌を混乱させてください。わたしは町のうちに暴力と争いとを見るからです。
10 Day and night they go about on its walls; iniquity and mischief are in the middle of it.
彼らは昼も夜も町の城壁の上を歩きめぐり、町のうちには害悪と悩みとがあります。
11 Wickedness is in the middle of it; oppression and deceit do not leave its streets.
また滅ぼす事が町のうちにあり、しえたげと欺きとはその市場を離れることがありません。
12 For it was not an enemy who rebuked me, then I could have borne it; neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him.
わたしをののしる者は敵ではありません。もしそうであるならば忍ぶことができます。わたしにむかって高ぶる者はあだではありません。もしそうであるならば身を隠して彼を避けることができます。
13 But it was you, a man equal to myself, my companion and my close friend.
しかしそれはあなたです、わたしと同じ者、わたしの同僚、わたしの親しい友です。
14 We had sweet fellowship together; we walked in the house of God with the throng.
われらはたがいに楽しく語らい、つれだって神の宮に上りました。
15 Let death come suddenly on them; let them go down alive to Sheol, for wickedness is where they live, right among them. (Sheol h7585)
どうぞ、死を彼らに臨ませ、生きたままで陰府に下らせ、恐れをもって彼らを墓に去らせてください。 (Sheol h7585)
16 As for me, I will call on God, and Yahweh will save me.
しかしわたしが神に呼ばわれば、主はわたしを救われます。
17 In the evening, morning and at noonday I complain and moan; he will hear my voice.
夕べに、あしたに、真昼にわたしが嘆きうめけば、主はわたしの声を聞かれます。
18 He will safely rescue my life from the battle that was against me, for those who fought against me were many.
たといわたしを攻める者が多くとも、主はわたしがたたかう戦いからわたしを安らかに救い出されます。
19 God, the one who rules from eternity, will hear them and humiliate them. (Selah) They never change, and they do not fear God.
昔からみくらに座しておられる神は聞いて彼らを悩まされるでしょう。[セラ彼らはおきてを守らず、神を恐れないからです。
20 My friend has raised his hands against those who were at peace with him; he has not respected the covenant that he had.
わたしの友はその親しき者に手を伸ばして、その契約を破った。
21 His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was hostile; his words were softer than oil, yet they were actually drawn swords.
その口は牛酪よりもなめらかだが、その心には戦いがある。その言葉は油よりもやわらかだが、それは抜いたつるぎである。
22 Place your burdens on Yahweh, and he will sustain you; he will never allow a righteous person to totter.
あなたの荷を主にゆだねよ。主はあなたをささえられる。主は正しい人の動かされるのを決してゆるされない。
23 But you, God, will bring the wicked down into the pit of destruction; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live even half as long as others, but I will trust in you.
しかし主よ、あなたは彼らを滅びの穴に投げ入れられます。血を流す者と欺く者とはおのが日の半ばも生きながらえることはできません。しかしわたしはあなたに寄り頼みます。
