< Psalms 53 >

1 For the chief musician; set to Mahalath. A maschil of David. A fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt and have done abominable iniquity; there is no one who does good.
Aka mawt ham Mahalath dongkah David hlohlai Hlang ang loh amah lungbuei neh Pathen om pawh a ti. A poci uh dongah dumlai la tueilaeh kap tih, a then aka saii om pawh.
2 God looks down from heaven on the children of mankind to see if there are any who understand, who seek after him.
Vaan lamkah Pathen loh hlang ca rhoek te hmuh hamla a dan. Pathen aka toem lungming khaw om van nim?
3 They have all turned away. Together they have become corrupt. There is not one who does good, not even one.
Anih loh hlang boeih te tun a balkhong sak tih a rhonging uh coeng dongah hno then aka saii om pawh. Pakhat khaw om pawh.
4 Do those who commit iniquity have no understanding— those who devour my people as if they were eating bread and they do not call on God?
Boethae saii tih buh caak bangla ka pilnam aka yoop rhoek loh Pathen a khue uh pawt te ming uh pawt nim?
5 They were in great fear, although no reason to fear was there; for God will scatter the bones of whoever will camp against you; such people will be put to shame because God has rejected them.
Nang aka rhaeh thil kah rhuhrhong te Pathen loh a yaal dongah birhihnah om pawt dae birhihnah neh birhih uh. Amih te Pathen loh a hnawt dongah yah a bai.
6 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come from Zion! When God brings back his people from the captivity, then Jacob will rejoice and Israel will be glad!
Amah loh Israel kah khangnah te Zion lamkah han khuen tih a pilnam kah thongtla te Pathen loh ham bal puei vaengah Jakob omngaih saeh lamtah Israel kohoe saeh.
