< Psalms 50 >

1 A psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Ko e Saame ʻa ʻAsafi. Kuo folofola ʻa Sihova, ko e ʻOtua Māfimafi, ʻo ui ki māmani ki he potu hopoʻanga ʻoe laʻā ʻo aʻu atu ki hono tōʻanga.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone.
Mei Saione, ko e fungani ʻoe matamatalelei haohaoa, kuo ulo ʻae ʻOtua.
3 Our God comes and does not stay silent; a fire devours before him, and it is very stormy around him.
‌ʻE hāʻele mai hotau ʻOtua, pea ʻe ʻikai fakalongo pē: ʻe fakaʻauha ʻe he afi ʻi hono ʻao, pea ʻe takatakai ia ʻe he afā lahi.
4 He calls to the heavens above and to the earth so that he may judge his people:
Te ne ui ki he ngaahi langi mei ʻolunga, pea ki māmani, koeʻuhi ke ne fakamaau hono kakai.
5 “Gather my faithful ones together to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
“Tānaki fakataha kiate au ʻeku kakai māʻoniʻoni; ʻakinautolu kuo fai ʻae fuakava mo au ʻi he feilaulau.”
6 The heavens will declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge. (Selah)
Pea ʻe fakahā ʻe he ngaahi langi ʻene māʻoniʻoni: he ko e ʻOtua pē ko e fakamaau. (Sila)
7 “Hear, my people, and I will speak; I am God, your God.
“Fanongo mai, ʻE hoku kakai, pea te u lea; pea te u fakapapau kiate koe, ʻE ʻIsileli: ko au ko e ʻOtua, ʻio, ko ho ʻOtua.
8 I will not reprove you for your sacrifices; your burnt offerings are always before me.
‌ʻE ʻikai te u valokiʻi koe koeʻuhi ko hoʻo ngaahi feilaulau, pe ko hoʻo ngaahi feilaulau tutu, ke fai maʻu pe ʻi hoku ʻao.
9 I will take no bull out of your house, or male goats out of your folds.
‌ʻE ʻikai te u toʻo ha pulu mei ho fale, pe ha kosi tangata mei ho ngaahi lotoʻā.
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
He ʻoku ʻaʻaku ʻae manu kotoa pē ʻoe vao, mo e fanga manu ʻi he moʻunga ʻe afe.
11 I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
‌ʻOku ou ʻilo ʻae manupuna kotoa pē ʻoe ngaahi moʻunga: pea ʻoku ʻaʻaku ʻae ngaahi manu kaivao kotoa pē ʻoe ngoue.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is mine, and everything in it.
“Kapau te u fiekaia, ʻe ʻikai te u tala kiate koe: he ʻoku ʻaʻaku ʻa māmani, mo hono mahu ʻo ia.
13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
He te u kai ʻeau ʻae kakano ʻoe fanga pulu tangata, pe inu ʻae toto ʻoe fanga kosi?
14 Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High.
‌ʻAtu ʻae fakafetaʻi ki he ʻOtua; mo ke fai hoʻo ngaahi fuakava ki he Fungani Māʻolunga:
15 Call on me in the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will glorify me.”
Pea ke ui kiate au ʻi he ʻaho ʻoe mamahi: te u fakamoʻui koe, pea te ke fakaongoongoleleiʻi au.”
16 But to the wicked God says, “What have you to do with declaring my statutes, that you have taken my covenant in your mouth,
Ka ʻoku pehē ʻe he ʻOtua ki he angakovi, “Ko e hā ʻoku ke kau ai koe ke tala ʻeku ngaahi fekau, pea ke ʻai ʻi ho ngutu ʻeku fuakava?
17 since you hate instruction and throw my words away?
He ʻoku ke fehiʻa ki he akonaki, mo ke liʻaki ʻeku ngaahi lea ki ho tuʻa.
18 When you see a thief, you agree with him; you participate with those who commit adultery.
‌ʻI hoʻo mamata ki ha kaihaʻa, naʻa ke loto leva kiate ia, pea naʻa ke kau mo e kau tono fefine.
19 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue expresses deceit.
“ʻOku ke tuku ho ngutu ki he kovi, pea ʻoku fakatupu ʻe ho ʻelelo ʻae kākā.
20 You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.
‌ʻOku ke nofo ʻo lauʻikoviʻi ho tokoua; ʻoku ke fakakoviʻi ʻae tama ʻa hoʻo faʻē ʻaʻau.
21 You have done these things, but I have kept silent, so you thought that I was someone just like yourself. But I will reprove you and bring up, right before your eyes, all the things you have done.
Naʻa ke fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni, pea ne u fakalongo pē; naʻa ke mahalo ʻoku ou hangē tofu pe ko koe: ka te u valokiʻi koe, ʻo fokotuʻu ia ʻi ho ʻao.
22 Give this careful consideration, you who forget God, otherwise I will tear you to pieces, and there will be no one to come to help you!
Ko eni, mou tokanga ki he meʻa ni, ʻakimoutolu ʻoku fakangalongaloʻi ʻae ʻOtua, telia naʻaku haehae ke fakaikiiki ʻakimoutolu, pea ʻe ʻikai ha taha ke fakamoʻui.
23 The one who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving praises me, and to anyone who plans his path in the right way I will show God's salvation.”
“Ko ia ʻoku ne ʻatu ʻae fakafetaʻi ʻoku ne fakaongoongoleleiʻi au: pea ko ia ʻoku ne fakatonutonu hono hala te u fakahā kiate ia ʻae fakamoʻui ʻoe ʻOtua.”
