Psalms 41
1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David. Blessed is he who is concerned for the weak; in the day of trouble, Yahweh will rescue him.
Kwa mwimbishaji. Zaburi ya Daudi. Heri mtu yule anayemjali mnyonge, Bwana atamwokoa wakati wa shida.
2 Yahweh will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; Yahweh will not turn him over to the will of his enemies.
Bwana atamlinda na kuyahifadhi maisha yake, atambariki katika nchi na hatamwacha katika tamaa ya adui zake.
3 Yahweh will support him on the bed of suffering; you will make his bed of sickness into a bed of healing.
Bwana atamtegemeza awapo mgonjwa kitandani, atamwinua kutoka kitandani mwake.
4 I said, “Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
Nilisema, “Ee Bwana nihurumie, niponye, maana nimekutenda dhambi wewe.”
5 My enemies speak evil against me, saying, 'When will he die and his name perish?'
Adui zangu wanasema kwa hila, “Lini atakufa, na jina lake litokomee kabisa.”
6 If my enemy comes to see me, he says worthless things; his heart gathers up my disaster for itself; when he goes away from me, he tells others about it.
Kila anapokuja mtu kunitazama, huzungumza uongo, huku moyo wake hukusanya masingizio; kisha huondoka na kuyasambaza huku na huko.
7 All who hate me whisper together against me; against me they hope for my hurt.
Adui zangu wote hunongʼonezana dhidi yangu, hao huniwazia mabaya sana, wakisema,
8 They say, “An evil disease holds on tightly to him; now that he is lying down, he will rise up no more.”
“Ugonjwa mbaya sana umempata, kamwe hatainuka tena kitandani mwake.”
9 Indeed, even my own close friend, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
Hata rafiki yangu wa karibu niliyemwamini, yule aliyekula chakula changu ameniinulia kisigino chake.
10 But you, Yahweh, have mercy on me and raise me up so that I may pay them back.
Lakini wewe, Ee Bwana, nihurumie, ukaniinue tena, ili niweze kuwalipiza kisasi.
11 By this I know that you delight in me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
Najua kwamba wapendezwa nami, kwa kuwa adui yangu hanishindi.
12 As for me, you support me in my integrity and will keep me before your face forever.
Katika uadilifu wangu unanitegemeza na kuniweka kwenye uwepo wako milele.
13 May Yahweh, the God of Israel be praised from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
Msifuni Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, tangu milele na hata milele.
