< Psalms 41 >
1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David. Blessed is he who is concerned for the weak; in the day of trouble, Yahweh will rescue him.
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woayra ame si tsɔ ɖe le eme na ame dahewo, Yehowa aɖee le xaxaɣi.
2 Yahweh will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; Yahweh will not turn him over to the will of his enemies.
Yehowa adzɔ eŋu, eye wòakpɔ eƒe agbe ta. Yehowa ayrae le anyigba dzi, eye matsɔe ade asi na eƒe futɔwo ƒe didi o.
3 Yahweh will support him on the bed of suffering; you will make his bed of sickness into a bed of healing.
Yehowa anɔ kplii le dɔba dzi, eye wòana lãmesesẽe, afɔe tso dɔba dzi.
4 I said, “Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
Megblɔ be, “O! Yehowa, kpɔ nublanui nam, yɔ dɔm, elabena mewɔ nu vɔ̃ ɖe ŋuwò.”
5 My enemies speak evil against me, saying, 'When will he die and his name perish?'
Nye futɔwo le gbɔgblɔm tso ŋunye fewuɖutɔe be, “Ɣe ka ɣi gɔ̃e wòle kuku ge ne eƒe ŋkɔ natsrɔ̃?”
6 If my enemy comes to see me, he says worthless things; his heart gathers up my disaster for itself; when he goes away from me, he tells others about it.
Ne ame aɖe ɖi tsa va be yeakpɔm ɖa la, edaa alakpa, eƒe dzi ƒoa ameŋugblẽnyawo nu ƒu, eye wòdoa go yina kakanɛ.
7 All who hate me whisper together against me; against me they hope for my hurt.
Nye futɔwo katã le dalĩ dom le ŋutinye, eye wole nu vɔ̃ɖiwo susum tso ŋutinye le gbɔgblɔm be,
8 They say, “An evil disease holds on tightly to him; now that he is lying down, he will rise up no more.”
“Dɔléle vɔ̃ɖi aɖe dze edzi, magatso le afi si wòmlɔ la akpɔ gbeɖe o.”
9 Indeed, even my own close friend, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
Xɔ̃nye si tsi metoa nye kplii dome o, ame si dzi meka ɖo, eye wòɖua nu kplim la kɔ eƒe afɔkpodzi dzi ɖe ŋutinye.
10 But you, Yahweh, have mercy on me and raise me up so that I may pay them back.
O! Yehowa, ke wò ya kpɔ nye nublanui, kɔm ɖe dzi be maɖo teƒe na wo.
11 By this I know that you delight in me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
Menya be èkpɔ ŋudzedze le ŋutinye, elabena nye ketɔ meɖu dzinye o.
12 As for me, you support me in my integrity and will keep me before your face forever.
Le nye nuteƒewɔwɔ ta la, èlém ɖe asi, eye nètsɔm ɖo wò ŋkume tegbetegbe.
13 May Yahweh, the God of Israel be praised from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
