Psalms 38
1 A psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. Yahweh, do not rebuke me in your anger; do not punish me in your wrath.
ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ജ്ഞാപകസങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കരുതേ. ഉഗ്രനീരസത്തോടെ എന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയുമരുതേ.
2 For your arrows pierce me, and your hand presses me down.
നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിൽ തറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെമേൽ ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
3 My whole body is sick because of your anger; there is no health in my bones because of my sin.
നിന്റെ നീരസം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽ സൗഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.
4 For my iniquities overwhelm me; they are a burden too heavy for me.
എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്കു അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 My wounds are infected and smell because of my foolish sins.
എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വംഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങൾ ചീഞ്ഞുനാറുന്നു.
6 I am stooped over and humiliated every day; I go about mourning all day long.
ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു ഏറ്റവും കൂനിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.
7 For within me, I am filled with burning; there is no health in my flesh.
എന്റെ അരയിൽ വരൾച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽ സൗഖ്യമില്ല.
8 I am numb and utterly crushed; I groan because of the anguish of my heart.
ഞാൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചു അത്യന്തം തകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഞരക്കംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ അലറുന്നു.
9 Lord, you understand my heart's deepest yearnings, and my groanings are not hidden from you.
കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം നിനക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
10 My heart pounds, my strength fades, and my eyesight dims.
എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ വശംകെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എനിക്കില്ലാതെയായി.
11 My friends and companions shun me because of my condition; my neighbors stand far off.
എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും കൂട്ടുകാരും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ടു മാറിനില്ക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരും അകന്നുനില്ക്കുന്നു.
12 Those who seek my life lay snares for me. They who seek my harm speak destructive words and say deceitful words all day long.
എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ കണിവെക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അനർത്ഥം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ വേണ്ടാതനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.
13 But I, I am like a deaf man and hear nothing; I am like a mute man who says nothing.
എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേൾക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ്തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
14 I am like a man who does not hear and who has no reply.
ഞാൻ, കേൾക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായിൽ പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.
15 Surely I wait for you, Yahweh; you will answer, Lord my God.
യഹോവേ, നിങ്കൽ ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവേ, നീ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.
16 I say this so that my enemies will not gloat over me. If my foot slips, they will do terrible things to me.
അവർ എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാൽ വഴുതുമ്പോൾ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറയുമല്ലോ.
17 For I am about to stumble, and I am in constant pain.
ഞാൻ ഇടറി വീഴുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
18 I confess my guilt; I am concerned about my sin.
ഞാൻ എന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.
19 But my enemies are numerous; those who hate me wrongfully are many.
എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോ ജീവനും ബലവുമുള്ളവർ, എന്നെ വെറുതെ പകെക്കുന്നവർ പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 They repay me evil for good; they hurl accusations at me although I have pursued what is good.
ഞാൻ നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാൽ അവർ എനിക്കു വിരോധികളായി നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
21 Do not abandon me, Yahweh; my God, do not stay far away from me.
യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈവിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.
22 Come quickly to help me, Lord, my salvation.
എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിന്നു വേഗം വരേണമേ.
