Psalms 32
1 A psalm of David. A maschil. Blessed is the person whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Von David. Ein Maskil. Wohl dem, dessen Übertretung vergeben, dessen Sünde bedeckt ist!
2 Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh reckons no guilt and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
Wohl dem Menschen, dem Jahwe Verschuldung nicht zurechnet, und in dessen Geiste kein Falsch ist!
3 When I remained silent, my bones were wasting away while I groaned all day long.
Da ich schwieg, schwanden meine Gebeine durch mein unaufhörliches Stöhnen.
4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me. My strength withered as in summer drought. (Selah)
Denn Tag und Nacht lastete deine Hand auf mir; mein Lebenssaft verwandelte sich durch Sommergluten. (Sela)
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I no longer hid my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. (Selah)
Meine Sünde bekannte ich dir und verhehlte meine Verschuldung nicht. Ich sprach: “Ich will Jahwe meine Übertretungen bekennen”! Da vergabst du mir meine Sündenschuld. (Sela)
6 Because of this, all who are godly should pray to you at a time of great distress. Then when the surging waters overflow, they will not reach those people.
Darum soll jeder Fromme zu dir beten zu der Zeit, da du dich finden lässest; ob auch große Gewässer einherfluten, werden sie doch ihn nicht erreichen!
7 You are my hiding place; you will guard me from trouble. You will surround me with the songs of victory. (Selah)
Du bist mein Schirm, wirst mich vor Not behüten; mit Rettungsjubel wirst du mich umgeben. (Sela)
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go. I will instruct you with my eye upon you.
Ich will dich belehren und unterweisen über den Weg, den du gehen mußt; ich will dich beraten, indem über dir mein Auge wacht.
9 Do not be like a horse or like a mule, which have no understanding; it is only with bridle and bit to control them that they will go where you want them to.
Seid nicht wie Rosse, wie Maultiere, die keinen Verstand haben; mit Zaum und Kappzaum, ihrem Geschirr, müssen sie gebändigt werden, sie nahen sich sonst nicht zu dir.
10 The wicked have many sorrows, but Yahweh's covenant faithfulness will surround the one who trusts in him.
Der Gottlose hat viele Plagen; wer aber auf Jahwe vertraut, den wird er mit Gnade umgeben.
11 Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous; shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.
Freut euch über Jahwe und frohlockt, ihr Frommen, und jubelt alle, die ihr redliches Herzens seid!
