Psalms 20

1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David. May Yahweh help you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you

Al Vencedor: Salmo de David. El SEÑOR te oiga en el día de la angustia; te ensalce el nombre del Dios de Jacob.

2 and send help from the holy place to support you from Zion.

Te envíe ayuda desde el santuario, y desde Sion te sustente.

3 May he call to mind all your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice. (Selah)

Tenga memoria de todos tus presentes, y reduzca a ceniza tu holocausto. (Selah)

4 May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans.

Te dé conforme a tu corazón, y cumpla todo tu consejo.

5 Then we will rejoice in your victory, and, in the name of our God, we will raise banners. May Yahweh grant all your petitions.

Nosotros nos alegraremos con tu salud, y alzaremos pendón en el nombre de nuestro Dios; cumpla el SEÑOR todas tus peticiones.

6 Now I know that Yahweh will rescue his anointed one; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the strength of his right hand that can rescue him.

Ahora he conocido que el SEÑOR ha guardado a su ungido; lo oirá desde los cielos de su santidad con las valentías de la salud de su diestra.

7 Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we call on Yahweh our God.

Estos confían en carros, y aquéllos en caballos; mas nosotros del nombre del SEÑOR nuestro Dios tendremos memoria.

8 They will be brought down and fall, but we will rise and stand upright!

Ellos se arrodillaron, y cayeron; mas nosotros nos levantamos, y nos enhestamos.

9 Yahweh, rescue the king; help us when we call.

El SEÑOR salva al Rey; que El nos oiga el día que lo invocáremos.
