Psalms 18
1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David, the servant of Yahweh, when he sang to Yahweh the words of this song on the day that Yahweh rescued him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He sang: I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
| برای سالار مغنیان، مزمور داود بنده خداوند که کلام این سرود را به خداوند گفت، در روزی که خداوند او را از دست همه دشمنانش و از دست شاول رهایی داد. پس گفت: ای خداوند! ای قوت من! تو را محبت می نمایم. | ۱ |
2 Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, the one who brings me to safety; he is my God, my rock; I take refuge in him. He is my shield, the horn of my salvation, and my stronghold.
| خداوند صخره من است وملجا و نجات‌دهنده من. خدایم صخره من است که در او پناه می‌برم. سپر من و شاخ نجاتم و قلعه بلند من. | ۲ |
3 I will call on Yahweh who is worthy to be praised, and I will be saved from my enemies.
| خداوند را که سزاوار کل حمد است، خواهم خواند. پس، از دشمنانم رهایی خواهم یافت. | ۳ |
4 The cords of death surrounded me, and the rushing waters of worthlessness overwhelmed me.
| رسنهای موت مرا احاطه کرده، و سیلابهای شرارت مرا ترسانیده بود. | ۴ |

6 In my distress I called to Yahweh; I called for help to my God. He heard my voice from his temple; my call for help went into his presence; it went into his ears.
| در تنگی خود خداوند را خواندم و نزد خدای خویش استغاثه نمودم. او آواز مرا از هیکل خودشنید و استغاثه من به حضورش به گوش وی رسید. | ۶ |
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the mountains also trembled and were shaken because God was angry.
| زمین متزلزل و مرتعش شده، اساس کوههابلرزید و متزلزل گردید چونکه خشم او افروخته شد. | ۷ |
8 Smoke went up from out of his nostrils, and blazing fire came out of his mouth. Coals were ignited by it.
| دخان از بینی او برآمد و نار از دهانش ملتهب گشت و آتشها از آن افروخته گردید. | ۸ |
9 He opened the heavens and came down, and thick darkness was under his feet.
| آسمان را خم کرده، نزول فرمود و زیر پای وی تاریکی غلیظ می‌بود. | ۹ |
10 He rode on a cherub and flew; he glided on the wings of the wind.
| برکروبی سوار شده، پرواز نمود و بر بالهای باد طیران کرد. | ۱۰ |
11 He made darkness a tent around him, heavy rainclouds in the skies.
| تاریکی را پرده خود و خیمه‌ای گرداگرد خویش بساخت، تاریکی آبها و ابرهای متراکم را. | ۱۱ |
12 Hailstones and coals of fire fell from the lightning before him.
| از تابش پیش روی وی ابرهایش می‌شتافتند، تگرگ و آتشهای افروخته. | ۱۲ |
13 Yahweh thundered in the heavens! The voice of the Most High shouted.
| و خداوند از آسمان رعد کرده، حضرت اعلی آواز خود را بداد، تگرگ و آتشهای افروخته را. | ۱۳ |
14 He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies; many lightning bolts dispersed them.
| پس تیرهای خود را فرستاده، ایشان را پراکنده ساخت، و برقها بینداخت وایشان را پریشان نمود. | ۱۴ |
15 Then the water channels appeared; the foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.
| آنگاه عمق های آب ظاهر شد و اساس ربع مسکون مکشوف گردید، از تنبیه تو‌ای خداوند، از نفخه باد بینی تو! | ۱۵ |
16 He reached down from above; he took hold of me! He pulled me out of the surging water.
| پس، از اعلی فرستاده، مرا برگرفت و ازآبهای بسیار بیرون کشید. | ۱۶ |
17 He rescued me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.
| و مرا از دشمنان زورآورم رهایی داد و از خصمانم، زیرا که از من تواناتر بودند. | ۱۷ |
18 They came against me on the day of my distress but Yahweh was my support!
| در روز بلای من پیش رویم درآمدند، لیکن خداوند تکیه گاه من بود. | ۱۸ |
19 He set me free in a wide open place; he saved me because he was pleased with me.
| و مرابجای وسیع بیرون آورد؛ مرا نجات داد زیرا که درمن رغبت می‌داشت. | ۱۹ |
20 Yahweh has rewarded me because of my righteousness; he has restored me because my hands were clean.
| خداوند موافق عدالتم مرا جزا داد و به حسب طهارت دستم مرا مکافات رسانید. | ۲۰ |
21 For I have kept the ways of Yahweh and have not wickedly turned away from my God.
| زیراکه راههای خداوند را نگاه داشته، و به خدای خویش عصیان نورزیده‌ام، | ۲۱ |
22 For all his righteous decrees have been before me; as for his statutes, I have not turned away from them.
| و جمیع احکام اوپیش روی من بوده است و فرائض او را از خوددور نکرده‌ام، | ۲۲ |
23 I have also been innocent before him, and I have kept myself from sin.
| و نزد او بی‌عیب بوده‌ام وخویشتن را از گناه خود نگاه داشته‌ام. | ۲۳ |
24 Therefore Yahweh has restored me because of my righteousness, because my hands were clean before his eyes.
| پس خداوند مرا موافق عدالتم پاداش داده است و به حسب طهارت دستم در نظر وی. | ۲۴ |
25 To anyone who is faithful, you show yourself to be faithful; to a man who is blameless, you show yourself to be blameless.
| خویشتن رابا رحیم، رحیم می‌نمایی، و با مرد کامل، خود راکامل می‌نمایی. | ۲۵ |
26 To anyone who is pure, you show yourself pure; but you are clever toward anyone who is twisted.
| خویشتن را با طاهر، طاهرمی نمایی و با مکار، به مکر رفتار می‌کنی. | ۲۶ |
27 For you save afflicted people, but you bring down those with proud, uplifted eyes!
| زیراقوم مظلوم را خواهی رهانید و چشمان متکبران را به زیر خواهی انداخت. | ۲۷ |
28 For you give light to my lamp; Yahweh my God lights up my darkness.
| زیرا که تو چراغ مراخواهی افروخت؛ یهوه خدایم تاریکی مرا روشن خواهد گردانید. | ۲۸ |
29 For by you I can run over a barricade; by my God I can leap over a wall.
| زیرا به مدد تو بر فوجها حمله می‌برم و به خدای خود از حصارها برمی جهم. | ۲۹ |
30 As for God—his way is perfect! The word of Yahweh is pure! He is a shield to everyone who takes refuge in him.
| و اما خدا طریق او کامل است و کلام خداوندمصفی. او برای همه متوکلان خود سپر است، | ۳۰ |
31 For who is God except Yahweh? Who is a rock except our God?
| زیرا کیست خدا غیر از یهوه؟ و کیست صخره‌ای غیر از خدای ما؟ | ۳۱ |
32 It is God who puts strength on me like a belt, who places the blameless person on his path.
| خدایی که کمر مرابه قوت بسته و راههای مرا کامل گردانیده است. | ۳۲ |
33 He makes my feet swift like a deer and places me on the heights!
| پایهای مرا مثل آهو ساخته و مرا به مقامهای اعلای من برپا داشته است. | ۳۳ |
34 He trains my hands for war and my arms to bend a bow of bronze.
| دستهای مرا برای جنگ تعلیم داده است، که کمان برنجین به بازوی من خم شد. | ۳۴ |
35 You have given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand has supported me, and your favor has made me great.
| سپر نجات خود را به من داده‌ای. دست راستت عمود من شده و مهربانی تو مرابزرگ ساخته است. | ۳۵ |
36 You have made a wide place for my feet beneath me so that my feet have not slipped.
| قدمهایم را زیرم وسعت دادی که پایهای من نلغزید. | ۳۶ |
37 I pursued my enemies and caught them; I did not turn back until they were destroyed.
| دشمنان خود راتعاقب نموده، بدیشان خواهم رسید و تا تلف نشوند بر نخواهم گشت. | ۳۷ |
38 I smashed them so that they were unable to rise; they have fallen under my feet.
| ایشان را فرو خواهم کوفت که نتوانند برخاست و زیر پاهای من خواهند افتاد. | ۳۸ |
39 For you put strength on me like a belt for battle; you put under me those who rise up against me.
| زیرا کمر مرا برای جنگ به قوت بسته‌ای و مخالفانم را زیر پایم انداخته‌ای. | ۳۹ |
40 You gave me the back of my enemies' necks; I annihilated those who hated me.
| گردنهای دشمنانم را به من تسلیم کرده‌ای تاخصمان خود را نابود بسازم. | ۴۰ |
41 They called for help, but no one saved them; they called out to Yahweh, but he did not answer them.
| فریاد برآوردنداما رهاننده‌ای نبود نزد خداوند، ولی ایشان رااجابت نکرد. | ۴۱ |
42 I beat them into fine pieces like dust before the wind; I threw them out like mud in the streets.
| ایشان را چون غبار پیش بادساییده‌ام؛ مثل گل کوچه‌ها ایشان را دور ریخته‌ام. | ۴۲ |
43 You rescued me from the disputes of people. You have made me the head over nations. People that I have not known serve me.
| مرا از منازعه قوم رهانیده، سر امت هاساخته‌ای. قومی را که نشناخته بودم، مرا خدمت می‌نمایند. | ۴۳ |
44 As soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me; foreigners were forced to bow to me.
| به مجرد شنیدن مرا اطاعت خواهند کرد؛ فرزندان غربا نزد من تذلل خواهندنمود. | ۴۴ |
45 The foreigners came trembling out of their strongholds.
| فرزندان غربا پژمرده می‌شوند و درقلعه های خود خواهند لرزید. | ۴۵ |
46 Yahweh lives; may my rock be praised. May the God of my salvation be exalted.
| خداوند زنده است و صخره من متبارک باد، و خدای نجات من متعال! | ۴۶ |
47 He is the God who executes vengeance for me, who subdues the nations under me.
| خدایی که برای من انتقام می‌گیرد وقوم‌ها را زیر من مغلوب می‌سازد. | ۴۷ |
48 I am set free from my enemies! Indeed, you lifted me above the ones who rose against me! You rescued me from violent men.
| مرا ازدشمنانم رهانیده، برخصمانم بلند کرده‌ای و ازمرد ظالم مرا خلاصی داده‌ای! | ۴۸ |
49 Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name!
| لهذا‌ای خداوند تو را در میان امت‌ها حمد خواهم گفت وبه نام تو سرود خواهم خواند. | ۴۹ |
50 God gives great victory to his king, and he shows his covenant loyalty to his anointed one, to David and to his descendants forever.
| که نجات عظیمی به پادشاه خود داده و به مسیح خویش رحمت نموده است. یعنی به داود و ذریت او تاابدالاباد. | ۵۰ |
