Psalms 16
1 A michtam of David. Protect me, God, for I take refuge in you.
Davut'un Miktamı Koru beni, ey Tanrı, Çünkü sana sığınıyorum.
2 I say to Yahweh, “You are my Lord; my goodness is nothing apart from you.
RAB'be dedim ki, “Efendim sensin. Senden öte mutluluk yok benim için.”
3 As for the holy people who are on the earth, they are noble people; all my delight is in them.
Ülkedeki kutsallara gelince, Soyludur onlar, biricik zevkim onlardır.
4 Their troubles will be increased, those who seek out other gods. I will not pour out drink offerings of blood to their gods or lift up their names with my lips.
Başka ilahların ardınca koşanların derdi artacak. Onların kan sunularını dökmeyeceğim, Adlarını ağzıma almayacağım.
5 Yahweh, you are my chosen portion and my cup. You hold onto my lot.
Benim payıma, Benim kâseme düşen sensin, ya RAB; Yaşamım senin ellerinde.
6 Measuring lines have been laid for me in pleasant places; surely a pleasing inheritance is mine.
Payıma ne güzel yerler düştü, Ne harika bir mirasım var!
7 I will bless Yahweh, who counsels me; even at night my mind instructs me.
Övgüler sunarım bana öğüt veren RAB'be, Geceleri bile vicdanım uyarır beni.
8 I set Yahweh before me at all times, so I will not be shaken from his right hand!
Gözümü RAB'den ayırmam, Sağımda durduğu için sarsılmam.
9 Therefore my heart is glad; my glory is rejoicing. Surely I will live in security.
Bu nedenle içim sevinç dolu, yüreğim coşuyor, Bedenim güven içinde.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol. You will not let your faithful one see the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Çünkü sen beni ölüler diyarına terk etmezsin, Sadık kulunun çürümesine izin vermezsin. (Sheol h7585)
11 You teach me the path of life; abundant joy resides in your presence; delights abide in your right hand forever!”
Yaşam yolunu bana bildirirsin. Bol sevinç vardır senin huzurunda, Sağ elinden mutluluk eksilmez.
