Psalms 143
1 A psalm of David. Hear my prayer, Yahweh; listen to my pleas. Because of your faithfulness and righteousness, answer me!
Dawid dwom. Awurade, tie me mpaebɔ, tie me mmɔborɔsu; fi wo nokwaredi ne trenee mu bra bɛboa me.
2 Do not enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no one is righteous.
Mfa wʼakoa nkɔ atemmu mu, na ɔteasefo biara nteɛ wɔ wʼanim.
3 The enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed me to the ground; he has made me to live in darkness like those who have been dead a long time.
Ɔtamfo no taa me, ɔbɔ me hwe fam; ɔma me tena sum mu te sɛ wɔn a wowuwuu dedaada.
4 My spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart despairs.
Ɛno nti me honhom atɔ beraw wɔ me mu; na me koma di yaw wɔ me mu.
5 I call to mind the old days; I meditate on all your deeds; I reflect on your accomplishments.
Mekae tete nna no; midwinnwen wo nnwuma ne nea wo nsa ayɛ nyinaa ho.
6 I spread my hands out to you; my soul thirsts for you in a parched land. (Selah)
Mema me nsa so kyerɛ wo; wo ho sukɔm de me kra sɛ asase kesee.
7 Answer me quickly, Yahweh, because my spirit faints. Do not hide your face from me, or I will become like those who go down into the pit.
Awurade, gye me so ntɛm; me honhom tɔ piti. Mfa wʼanim nhintaw me anyɛ saa a mɛyɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔkɔ amoa mu no.
8 Let me hear your covenant faithfulness in the morning, for I trust in you. Show me the way where I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you.
Ma mente wʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no ho asɛm daa anɔpa, na mede me ho ato wo so. Kyerɛ me ɔkwan a memfa so, na wo na mema me kra so kyerɛ.
9 Rescue me from my enemies, Yahweh; I flee to you to hide.
Awurade gye me fi mʼatamfo nsam, na wo mu na mede me ho hintaw.
10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your good Spirit lead me in the land of uprightness.
Kyerɛ me na menyɛ wʼapɛde, na wo ne me Nyankopɔn; ma wo honhom pa no nkogya me asasetaw so.
11 Yahweh, for your name's sake, keep me alive; in your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.
Awurade, wo din nti, kyɛe me nkwa so; wo trenee mu, yi me fi ɔhaw mu.
12 In your covenant faithfulness cut off my enemies and destroy all the enemies of my life, for I am your servant.
Fi wʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no mu mua mʼatamfo ano; na sɛe wɔn a wokyi me no nyinaa, na meyɛ wo somfo.
