Psalms 131

1 A song of ascents; of David. Yahweh, my heart is not proud or my eyes haughty. I do not have great hopes for myself or concern myself with things that are beyond me.

आराधना के लिए यात्रियों का गीत. दावीद की रचना. याहवेह, मेरा हृदय न तो अहंकार से फूल रहा है, और न मेरी आंखें घमंड में चढ़ी हुई हैं; मेरी रुचि न तो असाधारण उपलब्धियों में है, न चमत्कारों में.

2 Indeed I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, my soul within me is like a weaned child.

मैंने अपने प्राणों को शांत और चुप कर लिया है, जैसे माता की गोद में तृप्‍त शिशु; मेरा प्राण अब ऐसे ही शिशु-समान शांत है.

3 Israel, hope in Yahweh now and forever.

इस्राएल, याहवेह पर भरोसा रखो इस समय और सदा-सर्वदा.
