< Psalms 13 >
1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David. How long, Yahweh, will you keep forgetting about me? How long will you hide your face from me?
Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. ʻE Sihova, ʻe fēfē hono fuoloa? Mo hoʻo kei fakangalongaloʻi au? Ke taʻengata? ʻE fēfē hono fuoloa ʻo hoʻo fufū ho fofonga ʻiate au?
2 How long must I worry and have grief in my heart all day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
ʻE fēfē hono fuoloa mo ʻeku lauloto mo hoku laumālie, ʻo loto mamahi pē ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē? ʻE fēfē hono fuoloa mo e fielahi kiate au ʻa hoku fili?
3 Look at me and answer me, Yahweh my God! Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.
ʻE Sihova ko hoku ʻOtua, ke ke tokanga mai pea ongoʻi au: fakamaama hoku mata, telia naʻaku mohe ʻi he mohe ʻoe mate;
4 Do not let my enemy say, “I have defeated him,” so that my enemy may not say, “I have prevailed over my adversary”; otherwise, my enemies will rejoice when I am brought down.
Telia naʻa pehē ʻe hoku fili, “Kuo u ikuna ia;” pea fiefia ʻakinautolu ʻoku fakamamahiʻi au ʻo kau ka ngaue.
5 But I have trusted in your covenant faithfulness; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
Ka kuo u falala ki hoʻo ʻaloʻofa; ʻo fiefia hoku loto ʻi hoʻo fakamoʻui.
6 I will sing to Yahweh because he has treated me very generously.
Te u hiva kia Sihova, ko e meʻa ʻi heʻene fai lelei lahi ʻaupito kiate au.
