< Psalms 13 >

1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David. How long, Yahweh, will you keep forgetting about me? How long will you hide your face from me?
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. O! Yehowa, va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi? Ɖe nàŋlɔm be ɖikaɖika? Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi nàɣla wò ŋkume ɖem?
2 How long must I worry and have grief in my heart all day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi mawɔ avu kple nye tamesusu, eye gbe sia gbe nuxaxa nayɔ nye dzi me? Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi nye futɔwo aɖu dzinye?
3 Look at me and answer me, Yahweh my God! Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.
Kpɔm ɖa, eye nàɖo nya ŋu nam, O! Yehowa, nye Mawu. Na kekeli naklẽ ɖe nye ŋkuwo dzi, ne menye nenema o la, madɔ alɔ̃ ayi ku me.
4 Do not let my enemy say, “I have defeated him,” so that my enemy may not say, “I have prevailed over my adversary”; otherwise, my enemies will rejoice when I am brought down.
Ekema nye futɔwo agblɔ be, “Meɖu edzi,” eye nye ketɔwo akpɔ dzidzɔ ne medze anyi.
5 But I have trusted in your covenant faithfulness; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
Ke nye ya meɖo dzi ɖe wò lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ŋu, nye dzi le aseye tsom le wò xɔname ŋuti.
6 I will sing to Yahweh because he has treated me very generously.
Madzi ha na Yehowa, elabena ewɔ nyui nam.
