< Psalms 13 >
1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David. How long, Yahweh, will you keep forgetting about me? How long will you hide your face from me?
Zborovođi. Psalam. Davidov.
2 How long must I worry and have grief in my heart all day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
TÓa dokle, Jahve, dokle ćeš me zaboravljati? Dokle ćeš skrivati lice od mene?
3 Look at me and answer me, Yahweh my God! Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.
Dokle ću nositi bol u duši; tugu u srcu obdan i obnoć? Dokle će se dušmanin dizat' na me?
4 Do not let my enemy say, “I have defeated him,” so that my enemy may not say, “I have prevailed over my adversary”; otherwise, my enemies will rejoice when I am brought down.
Pogledaj, usliši, Jahve, Bože moj! Prosvijetli mi oči da ne zaspim nasmrt,
5 But I have trusted in your covenant faithfulness; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
nek' ne kaže dušmanin: “Nadjačah njega!” Nek' ne kliču protivnici ako posrnem!
6 I will sing to Yahweh because he has treated me very generously.
Ja se u tvoju dobrotu uzdam, nek' mi se srce raduje spasenju tvome! Pjevat ću Jahvi koji mi učini dobro, pjevat ću imenu Jahve Svevišnjeg!
