Psalms 124
1 A song of ascents; of David. “If Yahweh had not been on our side,” let Israel say now,
၁အကယ်၍ထာဝရဘုရားသာ ငါတို့ဘက်၌ရှိတော်မမူခဲ့လျှင်အဘယ်သို့ ဖြစ်ပါလိမ့်မည်နည်း။ အို ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့၊ဖြေကြားကြလော့။
2 “if it had not been Yahweh who was on our side when men rose up against us,
၂ငါတို့အားရန်သူများတိုက်ခိုက်ကြစဉ်အခါက ထာဝရဘုရားသာငါတို့ဘက်၌ရှိတော် မမူခဲ့လျှင်
3 then they would have swallowed us up alive when their anger raged against us.
၃သူတို့သည်ဒေါသအမျက်ချောင်းချောင်းထွက်၍ ငါတို့အားအရှင်လတ်လတ်ဝါးမျိုလိုက်ကြ လိမ့်မည်။
4 The water would have swept us away; the torrent would have overwhelmed us.
၄ထိုနောက်ငါတို့သည်ရေစီးရာသို့မျောပါသွား၍ ရေသည်ငါတို့ကိုလွှမ်းမိုးလိမ့်မည်။
5 Then the raging waters would have drowned us.”
၅ငါတို့သည်အဟုန်ပြင်းသည့်ရေစီးချောင်းတွင် နစ်မြုပ်သွားကြလိမ့်မည်။
6 Blessed be Yahweh, who has not allowed us to be torn by their teeth.
၆ငါတို့ကိုရန်သူများအုပ်ဖမ်းကိုက်စားသည့် အစာဖြစ်ခွင့်ပေးတော်မမူသောထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုချီးမွမ်းကြကုန်စို့။
7 We have escaped like a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.
၇ငါတို့သည်မုဆိုး၏ကျော့ကွင်းမှလွတ်မြောက် လာသော ငှက်ကဲ့သို့သေဘေးမှလွတ်မြောက်ကြလေပြီ။ ကျော့ကွင်းပြတ်၍ငါတို့လွတ်မြောက်ရကြ၏။
8 Our help is in Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
၈ငါတို့သည်ကူညီမစမှုကိုကောင်းကင်နှင့် ကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးကိုဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ထံတော်မှရရှိကြ သတည်း။
