< Psalms 124 >
1 A song of ascents; of David. “If Yahweh had not been on our side,” let Israel say now,
Abụ nrigo. Nke Devid. A sị na Onyenwe anyị adịnyereghị anyị, ka Izrel kwuo,
2 “if it had not been Yahweh who was on our side when men rose up against us,
a sị na Onyenwe anyị adịnyereghị anyị, mgbe ndị mmadụ biliri imegide anyị,
3 then they would have swallowed us up alive when their anger raged against us.
mgbe iwe ha rere dịka ọkụ megide anyị, ha gaara eloda anyị na ndụ;
4 The water would have swept us away; the torrent would have overwhelmed us.
idee mmiri gaara iri anyị, oke mmiri gaara ebufu anyị,
5 Then the raging waters would have drowned us.”
ebili mmiri niile gaara ebufu anyị.
6 Blessed be Yahweh, who has not allowed us to be torn by their teeth.
Ma otuto dịrị Onyenwe anyị, onye na-ekweghị ka ha jiri eze ha dọrie anyị.
7 We have escaped like a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.
Anyị agbanarịla ha dịka nwa nnụnụ si gbanarị ọnya osi ọnya chọrọ iji jide ya; ọnya ahụ agbajiela, anyị ewezugakwala onwe anyị, nwere onwe anyị.
8 Our help is in Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
Inyeaka anyị dị nʼaha Onyenwe anyị, onye kere eluigwe na ụwa.
