Psalms 118
1 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.
Дякуйте Господу, добрий бо Він, бо навіки Його милосердя!
2 Let Israel say, “His covenant faithfulness endures forever.”
Нехай скаже Ізраїль, бо навіки Його милосердя!
3 Let the house of Aaron say, “His covenant faithfulness endures forever.”
Нехай скаже дім Ааро́нів, бо навіки Його милосердя!
4 Let the loyal followers of Yahweh say, “His covenant faithfulness endures for ever.”
Нехай скажуть ті, хто бої́ться Господа, бо навіки Його милосердя!
5 In my distress I called out to Yahweh; Yahweh answered me and set me free.
У тісно́ті я кли́кав до Господа, — і просто́ром озвався до мене Госпо́дь!
6 Yahweh is with me; I will not be afraid; what can man do to me?
Зо мною Господь — не боюся ніко́го, що зро́бить люди́на мені?
7 Yahweh is on my side as my helper; I will look in triumph on those who hate me.
Господь серед тих, що мені помагають, — і побачу загибіль своїх ненави́сників.
8 It is better to take shelter in Yahweh than to put confidence in man.
Краще вдаватись до Господа, ніж наді́ятися на люди́ну,
9 It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put one's trust in a princes.
краще вдаватись до Господа, ніж наді́ятися на вельмо́жних!
10 All the nations surrounded me; in Yahweh's name I cut them off.
Всі наро́ди мене оточи́ли, — я ж Господнім Ім'я́м їх понищив!
11 They surrounded me; yes, they surrounded me; in Yahweh's name I cut them off.
Оточи́ли мене й обступили мене, — я ж Господнім Ім'я́м їх понищив!
12 They surrounded me like bees; they disappeared as quickly as fire among thorns; in Yahweh's name I cut them off.
Оточили мене немов бджо́ли, та погасли вони, як терно́вий огонь, — я бо Господнім Ім'я́м їх понищив!
13 They attacked me to knock me down, but Yahweh helped me.
Дошкульно попхну́в ти мене на паді́ння, — та Господь спас мене́!
14 Yahweh is my strength and joy, and he is the one who rescues me.
Господь моя сила та пісня, і став Він спасі́нням мені!
15 The joyful shout of victory is heard in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of Yahweh conquers.
Голос співу й спасі́ння в наметах між пра́ведників: „Госпо́дня прави́ця виконує чу́да!
16 The right hand of Yahweh is exalted; the right hand of Yahweh conquers.
Правиця Господня підно́ситься, прави́ця Господня вико́нує чу́да!“
17 I will not die, but live and declare the deeds of Yahweh.
Не помру́, але жи́тиму, і буду звіщати про чи́ни Господні!
18 Yahweh has punished me harshly; but he has not handed me over to death.
Покара́ти мене — покарав був Госпо́дь, та смерти мені не завдав.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter them and I will give thanks to Yahweh.
Відчиніте мені брами правди, — я ними ввійду́, буду сла́вити Господа!
20 This is the gate of Yahweh; the righteous enter through it.
„Це брама Господня, — праведники в неї вхо́дять“.
21 I will give thanks to you, for you answered me, and you have become my salvation.
Я буду хвалити Тебе, бо озвався до мене, і став Ти спасі́нням мені!
22 The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
Камінь, що його будівни́чі відки́нули, той нарі́жним став каменем, —
23 This is Yahweh's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
від Господа ста́лося це, і дивне воно в очах наших!
24 This is the day on which Yahweh has acted; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Це день, що його́ створи́в Господь, — радіймо та тішмося в нім!
25 Please, Yahweh, give us victory! Please, Yahweh, give us success!
Про́симо, Господи, — спаси! Про́симо, Господи, — пощасти́!
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahweh; we bless you from the house of Yahweh.
Благословен, хто гряде́ у Господнє Ім'я́! Благословляємо вас із Господнього дому!
27 Yahweh is God, and he has given us light; bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.
Господь — Бог, і зася́яв Він нам. Прив'яжі́те святковую жертву шнура́ми аж до нарі́жників же́ртівника!
28 You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will exalt you.
Ти мій Бог, і я бу́ду Тебе прославля́ти, мій Боже, я буду Тебе велича́ти!
29 Oh, give thanks to Yahweh; for he is good; for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.
Дякуйте Господу, добрий бо Він, бо навіки Його милосердя!
