< Psalms 109 >
1 For the chief musician. A psalm of David. God whom I praise, do not be silent,
Dawid dwom. Ao Onyankopɔn a mekamfo woɔ, mmua wʼano,
2 For the wicked and deceitful attack me; they speak lies against me.
na amumuyɛfoɔ ne nkontompofoɔ atu wɔn ano agu me so; wɔde atorɔ tɛkrɛma akasa atia me.
3 They surround me and say hateful things, and they attack me without cause.
Wɔde nitansɛm atwa me ho ahyia na wɔto hyɛ me so a menkaa wɔn.
4 In return for my love they accuse me, but I pray for them.
Wɔka nsɛm to me so de tua me nnamfoyɛ so ka, nanso meyɛ obi a ɔpɛ mpaeɛbɔ.
5 They repay me evil for good, and they hate my love.
Wɔde bɔne tua me papayɛ so ka, na wɔde ɔtan tua me nnamfoyɛ so ka.
6 Appoint a wicked man over such an enemy as these people; appoint an accuser to stand at his right hand.
Ma onipa bɔne bi nsɔre ntia no; na Satan nnyina ne nsa nifa so.
7 When he is judged, may he be found guilty; may his prayer be considered sinful.
Wɔdi nʼasɛm a, ma ɔnni fɔ, na ne mpaeɛbɔ mmu no kumfɔ.
8 May his days be few; may another take his office.
Ma ne nkwa nna nyɛ kakraa bi; na ɔfoforɔ nsi nʼanan mu sɛ ɔkandifoɔ.
9 May his children be fatherless, and may his wife be a widow.
Ma ne mma nyɛ nwisiaa na ne yere nyɛ okunafoɔ.
10 May his children wander about and beg, asking for handouts as they leave their ruined home.
Ma ne mma nkyinkyini nsrɛsrɛ adeɛ; ma wɔmpam wɔn mfiri wɔn afie a abubuo no mu.
11 May the creditor take all he owns; may strangers plunder what he earns.
Ma ɔdefirifoɔ bi mfa deɛ ɔwɔ nyinaa; na amanfrafoɔ mfom nʼadwuma so aba.
12 May no one extend any kindness to him; may no one have pity on his fatherless children.
Mma obiara nhunu no mmɔbɔ Mma obiara nhunu ne nwisiaa nso mmɔbɔ.
13 May his children be cut off; may their name be blotted out in the next generation.
Ma nʼase nhye, na wɔn din nyera wɔ awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ a ɛreba no mu.
14 May his ancestors' sins be mentioned to Yahweh; and may the sin of his mother not be forgotten.
Ma wɔnkae nʼagyanom nnebɔne wɔ Awurade anim; na ne maame bɔne no ntena hɔ daa.
15 May their guilt always be before Yahweh; may Yahweh cut off their memory from the earth.
Wɔn bɔne nyinaa nka Awurade anim, na wɔankae wɔn bio wɔ asase so.
16 May Yahweh do this because this man never bothered to show any covenant faithfulness, but instead harassed the oppressed, the needy, and the disheartened to death.
Ɛfiri sɛ wannwene da sɛ ɔbɛyɛ adɔeɛ, na mmom ɔtaa ahiafoɔ mmɔborɔfoɔ ne wɔn a wɔn werɛ ahoɔ de kɔɔ owuo mu.
17 He loved cursing; may it come back upon him. He hated blessing; may no blessing come to him.
Nʼani gyee sɛ ɔbɛdome enti nnome mmra ne so; wampɛ sɛ ɔbɛhyira enti nhyira mmɔ no.
18 He clothed himself with cursing as his garment, and his curse came into his inner being like water, like oil into his bones.
Ɔhyɛɛ nnome sɛ atadeɛ; ɛnonom kɔɔ ne onipadua mu sɛ nsuo, ne ne nnompe mu sɛ ngo.
19 May his curses be to him like the clothes he wears to cover himself, like the belt he always wears.
Ma ɛnyɛ sɛ atadeɛ a ɛkyekyere ne ho, ne abɔsoɔ a ɛbɔ no daa.
20 May this be the reward of my accusers from Yahweh, of those who say evil things about me.
Ma yei nyɛ Awurade akatua a ɔde ma me kwaadubɔfoɔ, wɔn a wɔka nsɛmmɔne fa me ho no.
21 Yahweh my Lord, deal kindly with me for your name's sake. Because your covenant faithfulness is good, save me.
Nanso, wo Ao Asafo Awurade, wo din enti, wo ne me nni no yie; firi wʼadɔeɛ mu gye me.
22 For I am oppressed and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
Ɛfiri sɛ meyɛ ohiani ne deɛ onnibie, na mʼakoma atɔ baha wɔ me mu.
23 I am fading away like the shadow of the evening; I am shaken off like a locust.
Metwam sɛ anwummerɛ sunsumma; wɔwoso me kyene sɛ ntutummɛ.
24 My knees are weak from fasting; I am turning to skin and bones.
Abuadadie ama me kotodwe mu agogo; mafɔn na ama aka me nnompe.
25 I am disdained by my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads.
Mayɛ aseredeɛ ama wɔn a wɔbɔ me soboɔ; sɛ wohunu me a, wɔwoso wɔn ti.
26 Help me, Yahweh my God; save me by your covenant faithfulness.
Boa me, Ao Awurade me Onyankopɔn; gye me sɛdeɛ wʼadɔeɛ teɛ.
27 May they know that this is your doing, that you, Yahweh, have done this.
Ma wɔnhunu sɛ ɛyɛ wo nsa, na wo na woayɛ, Ao Awurade.
28 Though they curse me, please bless me; when they attack, may they be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.
Wɔbɛdome, nanso wobɛhyira; sɛ wɔto hyɛ me so a, wɔn anim bɛgu ase, nanso wo ɔsomfoɔ ani bɛgye.
29 May my adversaries be clothed with shame; may they wear their shame like a robe.
Animguaseɛ bɛdura mʼatamfoɔ ho; na akyekyere wɔn ho sɛ atadeɛ.
30 With my mouth I give great thanks to Yahweh; I will praise him in the midst of a crowd.
Mede mʼano bɛma Awurade so ayɛ no kɛseɛ; mɛkamfo no wɔ nnipadɔm mu.
31 For he will stand at the right hand of the one who is needy, to save him from those who judge him.
Ɛfiri sɛ, ɔgyina onnibie nsa nifa so sɛ ɔbɛgye no nkwa afiri wɔn a wɔbu no kumfɔ nsam.
