< Psalms 108 >
1 A song, a psalm of David. My heart is fixed, God; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises also with my honored heart.
Canticum Psalmi, ipsi David. [Paratum cor meum, Deus, paratum cor meum; cantabo, et psallam in gloria mea.
2 Wake up, lute and harp; I will wake up the dawn.
Exsurge, gloria mea; exsurge, psalterium et cithara; exsurgam diluculo.
3 I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.
Confitebor tibi in populis, Domine, et psallam tibi in nationibus:
4 For your covenant faithfulness is great above the heavens; and your trustworthiness reaches to the skies.
5 Be exalted, God, above the heavens, and may your glory be exalted over all the earth.
Exaltare super cælos, Deus, et super omnem terram gloria tua:
6 So that those you love may be rescued, rescue us with your right hand and answer me.
ut liberentur dilecti tui. Salvum fac dextera tua, et exaudi me.
7 God has spoken in his holiness; “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem and apportion out the Valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is my helmet; Judah is my scepter.
Meus est Galaad, et meus est Manasses, et Ephraim susceptio capitis mei. Juda rex meus;
9 Moab is my washbasin; over Edom I will throw my shoe; I will shout in triumph because of Philistia.
Moab lebes spei meæ: in Idumæam extendam calceamentum meum; mihi alienigenæ amici facti sunt.
10 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?”
Quis deducet me in civitatem munitam? quis deducet me usque in Idumæam?
11 God, have you not rejected us? You do not go into battle with our army.
12 Give us help against the enemy, for man's help is futile.
13 We will triumph with God's help; he will trample down our enemies.
