Proverbs 19
1 Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who is perverse in speech and is a fool.
၁ကောက်လိမ်သော စကားကိုသုံးတတ်သော လူမိုက်ထက်၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းလမ်းသို့လိုက်သော ဆင်းရဲ သူသည်သာ၍ ကောင်း၏။
2 Also, it is not good to have desire without knowledge and the one who runs too fast misses the path.
၂စိတ်ဝိညာဉ်သည် ပညာအတတ်မရှိဘဲ မနေ ကောင်း။ အလျင်အမြန်သွားသော သူသည်လည်း မှား ယွင်းတတ်၏။
3 A person's folly ruins his life and his heart rages against Yahweh.
၃လူသည် မိုက်သောသဘောကြောင့်၊ လမ်းလွဲ၍ စိတ်ထဲမှာ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကဲ့ရဲ့ပြစ်တင်တတ်၏။
4 Wealth adds many friends, but a poor person is separated from his friends.
၄စည်းစိမ်ရှိလျှင် အဆွေခင်ပွန်းများတတ်၏။ ဆင်းရဲသားသူမူကား၊ မိမိအိမ်နီးချင်းနှင့်မျှ မပေါင်း ဘော်ရ။
5 A false witness will not go unpunished and he who breathes out lies will not escape.
၅မမှန်သောသက်သေသည် အပြစ်မခံဘဲမနေရ။ မုသာကို သုံးသောသူသည်လည်း ဒဏ်နှင့်မလွတ်ရ။
6 Many will ask for a favor from a generous person and everyone is a friend of the one who gives gifts.
၆များသောသူတို့သည် မင်းကိုဖျောင်းဖျတတ်ကြ ၏။ လက်ဆောင်ပေးသော သူကိုလည်း၊ လူတိုင်းမိတ်ဆွေ ဖွဲ့တတ်၏။
7 All the brothers of a poor man hate him; how much more do his friends who go far away from him! He calls out to them, but they are gone.
၇ဆင်းရဲသောသူ၏ ညီအစ်ကိုရှိသမျှတို့သည် သူ့ကို မုန်းတတ်ကြ၏။ သူ၏အဆွေခင်ပွန်းတို့သည် သူ့ကို သာ၍ ဝေးစွာရှောင်တတ်ကြ၏ လိုက်၍ခေါ်သော်လည်း ကွယ်ပျောက်ကြပြီ။
8 He who gets wisdom loves his own life; he who keeps understanding will find what is good.
၈ပညာကိုရသောသူသည် မိမိအသက်ဝိညာဉ်ကို ချစ်ရာရောက်၏။ ဥာဏ်ကိုစွဲလမ်းသောသူသည်လည်း၊ ကောင်းကျိုးကို ခံတတ်၏။
9 A false witness will not go unpunished, but the one who breathes out lies will perish.
၉မမှန်သောသက်သေသည် အပြစ်မခံဘဲမနေရ။ မုသာကိုသုံးသော သူသည်လည်း၊ ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက် လိမ့်မည်။
10 It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury— much less for a slave to rule over princes.
၁၀မိုက်သောသူသည် မပျော်မွေ့သင့်။ ထိုမျှမက၊ ကျွန်သည်မင်းတို့ကို အစိုးမရသင့်။
11 Discretion makes a person slow to anger and it is his glory to overlook an offense.
၁၁သမ္မာသတိရှိသော သူသည် မိမိအမျက်ဒေါသ ကို ချုပ်တည်းတတ်၏။ သူတပါးပြစ်မှားခြင်းကို သည်းခံ သောသူသည်လည်း ဘုန်းအသရေရှိ၏။
12 The wrath of the king is like the roaring of a young lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.
၁၂ရှင်ဘုရင်၏အမျက်တော်သည် ခြင်္သေ့ဟောက် သကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၏။ ကျေးဇူးတော်မူကား၊ မြက်ပေါ်မှာ ကျသော နှင်းရည်ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။
13 A foolish son is ruin to his father and a quarreling wife is a constant dripping of water.
၁၃မိုက်သော သားသည် အဘဆင်းရဲစရာ အကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။ ရန်တွေ့တတ်သောမယားသည်လည်း၊ အစက်စက်ကျသော မိုဃ်းပေါက်နှင့်တူ၏။
14 A house and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh.
၁၄အိမ် နှင့်စည်းစိမ်သည် မိဘအမွေဥစ္စာဖြစ်၏။ သမ္မာသတိရှိသောမယားမူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရားပေးသနား တော်မူရာဖြစ်၏။
15 Laziness throws a person into a deep sleep, but the one not willing to work will go hungry.
၁၅ပျင်းရိသော သဘောသည် လွန်ကျူးစွာ အိပ် ပျော်စေ၍၊ ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် အငတ်ခံရ၏။
16 The one who obeys the command guards his life, but the person who does not think about his ways will die.
၁၆ပညတ်တရားကို စောင့်သောသူသည် မိမိ အသက်ဝိညာဉ်ကို စောင့်ရာရောက်၏။ မိမိသွားရာလမ်း တို့ကို မထီလေးစားပြုသောသူမူကား၊ အသေခံရ၏။
17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to Yahweh and he will repay him for what he has done.
၁၇ဆင်းရဲသားကို သနားသောသူသည် ထာဝရ ဘုရားအား ချေးငှါးသောသူဖြစ်၍၊ သူပြုသောအမှု၏ အကျိုးကိုဆပ်ပေးတော်မူလိမ့် မည်။
18 Discipline your son while there is hope and do not set your desire on putting him to death.
၁၈မြော်လင့်စရာရှိစဉ်အခါ၊ ကိုယ်သားကို ဆုံးမ လော့။ သူ့ကိုအကျိုးနည်းအောင် သနားသောစိတ်မရှိစေ နှင့်။
19 A hot-tempered person must pay the penalty; if you rescue him, you will have to do it a second time.
၁၉ဒေါသအမျက်ကြီးသောသူသည် အပြစ်ဒဏ်ကို ခံရလိမ့်မည်။ သူ့ကိုကယ်နှုတ်လျှင် အဖန်ဖန်ကယ်နှုတ် ရမည်။
20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, so you may become wise by the end of your life.
၂၀နောက်ဆုံးကာလ၌ ပညာရှိဖြစ်လိုသောငှါ၊ ဆုံးမသော စကားကို နားထောင်၍ နည်းဥပဒေကို ခံယူ လော့။
21 Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the purpose of Yahweh that will stand.
၂၁လူသည်အထူးထူး အပြားပြား ကြံစည်တတ်၏။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏အကြံတော်သည် တည်လိမ့် မည်။
22 Loyalty is what a person desires and a poor person is better than a liar.
၂၂လူသည်စေတနာရှိလျှင် ကျေးဇူးပြုရာ ရောက်၏။ ဆင်းရဲသောသူသည်လည်း၊ မုသာသုံးသော သူထက်သာ၍ ကောင်း၏။
23 Honor for Yahweh leads people to life; anyone who has it will be satisfied and not afflicted by harm.
၂၃ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့သောသဘောသည် အသက်ရှင်ခြင်းနှင့်ဆိုင်သည်ဖြစ်၍ ထိုသဘောရှိသော သူသည် အလိုဆန္ဒပြည့်စုံ လျက်ရှိ၍၊ ဘေးဥပဒ်နှင့်ကင်းလွတ်လိမ့်မည်။
24 The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back up to his mouth.
၂၄ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် မိမိလက်ကို အိုး၌ သွင်း သော်လည်း တဖန်နှုတ်၍ မိမိပစပ်သို့ မခွံ့လို။
25 Strike a mocker, and the naive person will become prudent; discipline one who is discerning, and he will gain knowledge.
၂၅မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသောသူကို ရိုက်လျှင် ဥာဏ်တိမ် သောသူသည် သတိရလိမ့်မည်။ ဥာဏ်ကောင်းသော သူကိုဆုံးမလျှင်၊ သူသည် ပညာတရားကို နားလည် လိမ့်မည်။
26 The one who robs his father and chases his mother away is a son who brings shame and reproach.
၂၆အဘဥစ္စာကိုဖြုန်း၍ အမိကိုနှင်ထုတ်သော သားသည် အရှက်ခွဲသောသား၊ ကဲ့ရဲ့ခြင်းကိုခံစေသောသားဖြစ်၏။
27 If you cease to hear instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge.
၂၇ငါ့သား၊ ပညာတရားကို ပယ်စေခြင်းငှါ၊ သွန်သင် သော သူ၏စကားကို နားမထောင်နှင့်။
28 A corrupt witness mocks justice and the mouth of the wicked swallows iniquity.
၂၈အဓမ္မသက်သေသည် တရားကို မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုတတ်၏။ မတရားသော သူသည်လည်း၊ ဒုစရိုက်ကို စား၍ မျိုတတ်၏။
29 Condemnation is ready for mockers and flogging for the backs of fools.
၂၉မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသောသူတို့အဘို့ အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်း၊ မိုက်သော သူတို့၏ကျောအဘို့ ဒဏ်ပေးခြင်းသည် အသင့် ရှိ၏။
