Numbers 30
1 Moses spoke to the leaders of the tribes of the people of Israel. He said, “This is what Yahweh has commanded.
Und Mose redete mit den Fürsten der Stämme der Kinder Israel und sprach: Das ist's, das der HERR geboten hat:
2 When anyone makes a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind himself with a promise, he must not break his word. He must keep his promise to do everything that comes out of his mouth.
Wenn jemand dem HERRN ein Gelübde tut oder einen Eid schwöret, daß er seine Seele verbindet, der soll sein Wort nicht schwächen, sondern alles tun, wie es zu seinem Munde ist ausgegangen.
3 When a young woman living in her father's house makes a vow to Yahweh and binds herself with a promise,
Wenn ein Weibsbild dem HERRN ein Gelübde tut und sich verbindet, weil sie in ihres Vaters Hause und im Magdtum ist;
4 if her father hears the vow and the promise by which she has bound herself, and if he says nothing to reverse her, then all her vows will remain in force. Every promise by which she has bound herself will remain in force.
und ihr Gelübde und Verbündnis, das sie tut über ihre Seele, kommt vor ihren Vater, und er schweiget dazu: so gilt all ihr Gelübde und all ihr Verbündnis, des sie sich über ihre Seele verbunden hat.
5 But if her father hears about her vow and her promise, and if he says nothing to her, then all the vows and promises that she took on herself will remain in force.
Wo aber ihr Vater wehret des Tages, wenn er's höret, so gilt kein Gelübde noch Verbündnis, dessen sie sich über ihre Seele verbunden hat; und der HERR wird ihr gnädig sein, weil ihr Vater ihr gewehret hat.
6 However, if her father hears all the vows she made and her solemn promises with which she has bound herself, and if he overrules her on that same day, then they will not remain in force. Yahweh will forgive her because her father had overruled her.
Hat sie aber einen Mann und hat ein Gelübde auf ihr, oder entfähret ihr aus ihren Lippen ein Verbündnis über ihre Seele;
7 If she marries a man while she is under those vows, or if she makes rash promises with which she obligates herself, those obligations will remain in force.
und der Mann höret's und schweiget desselben Tages stille: so gilt ihr Gelübde und Verbündnis, dessen sie sich über ihre Seele verbunden hat.
8 But if her husband stops her on the day that he hears about it, then he cancels the vow that she has made, the rash talk of her lips with which she has bound herself. Yahweh will release her.
Wo aber ihr Mann wehret des Tages, wenn er's höret, so ist ihr Gelübde los, das sie auf ihr hat, und das Verbündnis, das ihr aus ihren Lippen entfahren ist über ihre Seele; und der HERR wird ihr gnädig sein.
9 But as for a widow or a divorced woman, everything by which she has bound herself will remain in force against her.
Das Gelübde einer Witwe und Verstoßenen: alles, wes sie sich verbindet über ihre Seele, das gilt auf ihr.
10 If a woman made a vow in her husband's house or obligates herself by taking an oath,
Wenn jemandes Gesinde gelobet oder sich mit einem Eide verbindet über seine Seele;
11 and her husband hears of it, but he says nothing to her and he does oppose her, then all her vows must stand and the obligations she made must remain in force.
und der Hausherr höret's und schweiget dazu und wehret's nicht: so gilt all dasselbe Gelübde und alles, wes es sich verbunden hat über seine Seele.
12 But if her husband cancels them on the day that he heard about them, then whatever came out of her lips about her vows or promises will not remain in force. Her husband has canceled them. Yahweh will release her.
Macht's aber der Hausherr des Tages los, wenn er's höret, so gilt's nicht, was aus seinen Lippen gegangen ist, das es gelobet oder sich verbunden hat über seine Seele; denn der Hausherr hat's los gemacht; und der HERR wird ihm gnädig sein.
13 Every vow or oath a woman takes that binds her to deny herself something may be confirmed or canceled by her husband.
Und alle Gelübde und Eide, zu verbinden, den Leib zu kasteien, mag der Hausherr kräftigen oder schwächen, also:
14 But if he says nothing at all to her day after day, then he confirms all her vows and binding promises that she has made. He has confirmed them because he has said nothing to her at the time that he heard about them.
Wenn er dazu schweiget von einem Tage zum andern, so bekräftiget er alle seine Gelübde und Verbündnisse, die es auf ihm hat, darum daß er geschwiegen hat des Tages, da er's hörete.
15 If her husband tries to cancel his wife's vow a long time after he has heard about it, then he will be responsible for her sin.”
Wird er's aber schwächen, nachdem er's gehöret hat, so soll er die Missetat tragen.
16 These are the statutes that Yahweh commanded Moses to announce—statutes for what is between a man and his wife and between a father and his daughter when she is in her youth in her father's family.
Das sind die Satzungen, die der HERR Mose geboten hat zwischen Mann und Weib, zwischen Vater und Tochter, weil sie noch eine Magd ist in ihres Vaters Hause.
