Numbers 27
1 Then to Moses came the daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher son of Gilead son of Machir son of Manasseh, of the clans of Manasseh son of Joseph. These were the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah.
೧ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಕುಮಾರ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ವಂಶದವರೊಳಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮಾಕೀರನ ಮರಿಮಗನೂ, ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ ಹೇಫೆರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಚಲ್ಪಹಾದನ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಮಹ್ಲಾ, ನೋವಾ, ಹೊಗ್ಲಾ, ಮಿಲ್ಕಾ, ತಿರ್ಚಾ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಒಂದು ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.
2 They stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders, and before all the community at the entrance to the tent of meeting. They said,
೨ಅವರು ದೇವದರ್ಶನದ ಗುಡಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆ, ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರ್, ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು, ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
3 “Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among those who conspired against Yahweh in the company of Korah. He died for his own sin, and he had no sons.
೩“ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದನು. ಅವನು ಕೋರಹನ ಸಮೂಹದವರು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದವರೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವನಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ಸತ್ತದ್ದು ಸ್ವಂತ ಕರ್ಮಫಲವೇ. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲ.
4 Why should our father's name be taken away from among his clan members because he had no son? Give us land among our father's relatives.”
೪ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಗಂಡು ಮಗನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಹೆಸರು ಕುಲದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೋ? ತಂದೆಯ ಕುಲದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಮಗೂ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.
5 So Moses brought their case before Yahweh.
೫ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು.
6 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
೬ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
7 “Zelophehad's daughters are speaking correctly. You must certainly give them land as an inheritance among their father's relatives, and you must ensure that their father's inheritance passes on to them.
೭“ಚಲ್ಪಹಾದನ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹೇಳುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ತಂದೆಯ ಕುಲದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೂ ನೀನು ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ತಂದೆಯ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿ.
8 You must speak to the people of Israel and say, 'If a man dies and has no son, then you must cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
೮“ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು, ‘ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಮಗನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತರೆ ಅವನ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಅವನ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು.
9 If he has no daughter, then you must give his inheritance to his brothers.
೯ಮಗಳೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಅವನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.
10 If he has no brothers, then you must give his inheritance to his father's brothers.
೧೦ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಲ್ಲದ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ತಂದೆಯ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.
11 If his father has no brothers, then you must give his inheritance to his nearest relative in his clan, and he must take it for his own. This will be a law established by decree for the people of Israel, as Yahweh has commanded me.'”
೧೧ಇವರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕುಲದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೀಪಬಂಧುವಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ಇವನೇ ಆ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಲಿ. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಮಾಡಿದ ಈ ತೀರ್ಮಾನವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯನಿಯಮಗಳಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.’”
12 Yahweh said to Moses, “Go up the mountains of Abarim and look at the land that I have given to the people of Israel.
೧೨ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಈ ಅಬಾರೀಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೋಡು.
13 After you have seen it, you, too, must be gathered to your people, like Aaron your brother.
೧೩ನಿನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣನಾದ ಆರೋನನು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆಯೇ ನೀನೂ ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೇರಬೇಕು.
14 This will happen because you two rebelled against my command in the wilderness of Zin. There, when the water flowed from the rock, in your anger you failed to honor me as holy before the eyes of the whole community.” These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
೧೪ಚಿನ್ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸಮೂಹದವರು ನನ್ನೊಡನೆ ವಿವಾದಿಸಿದಾಗ ನೀವಿಬ್ಬರೂ ನನ್ನ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಪಾಡದೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸೇರಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು. ಚಿನ್ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೆರೀಬಾ ಕಾದೇಶಿನ ಪ್ರವಾಹದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
15 Then Moses spoke to Yahweh and said,
೧೫ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ,
16 “May you, Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all humanity, appoint a man over the community,
೧೬“ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಆತ್ಮಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ಜನ ಸಮೂಹದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಇಡಲಿ.
17 a man who may go out and come in before them and lead them out and bring them in, so that your community is not like sheep that have no shepherd.”
೧೭ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಲು, ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಬರಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು, ಒಬ್ಬ ನಾಯಕನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸು ನಿನ್ನವರಾದ ಈ ಜನ ಸಮೂಹವು ಕುರುಬನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಆಗಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿದನು.
18 Yahweh said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom my Spirit lives, and lay your hand on him.
೧೮ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ,
19 Place him before Eleazar the priest and before all the community, and command him before their eyes to lead them.
೧೯ಅವನನ್ನು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.
20 You must put some of your authority on him, so that all the community of the people of Israel may obey him.
೨೦ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇರುವ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.
21 He will go before Eleazar the priest to seek my will for him by the decisions of the Urim. It will be at his command that the people will go out and come in, both he and all the people of Israel with him, the whole community.”
೨೧ಯೆಹೋವನ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬರಬೇಕು. ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊರೀಮಿನ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದವರೂ ಅವನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಹೊರಡಬೇಕು, ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಬೇಕು, ಅವನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು.” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
22 So Moses did as Yahweh had commanded him. He took Joshua and placed him before Eleazar the priest and all the community.
೨೨ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನನ್ನು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
23 He laid his hands on him and commanded him to lead, as Yahweh had commanded him to do.
೨೩ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
