Numbers 26

1 It came about after the plague that Yahweh spoke to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. He said,

2 “Count all the community of the people of Israel, from twenty years old and up, by their ancestor's families, all who are able to go to war for Israel.”

Tomád la suma de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años y arriba, por las casas de sus padres, a todos los que pueden salir a la guerra en Israel.

3 So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke to them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho and said,

Y habló Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote con ellos en los campos de Moab junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:

4 “Count the people, from twenty years old and up, as Yahweh commanded Moses and the people of Israel, who came out of the land of Egypt.”

Contaréis el pueblo de veinte años y arriba, como mandó Jehová a Moisés, y a los hijos de Israel, que habían salido de tierra de Egipto.

5 Reuben was the firstborn of Israel. From his son Hanok came the clan of the Hanokites. From Pallu came the clan of the Palluites.

Rubén primogénito de Israel. Los hijos de Rubén fueron Jenoc, del cual era la familia de los Jenoquitas: de Fallu, la familia de los Falluitas:

6 From Hezron came the clan of the Hezronites. From Karmi came the clan of the Karmites.

De Jesrón, la familia de los Jesronitas: de Carmi, la familia de los Carmitas.

7 These were the clans of Reuben, who numbered 43,730 men.

Estas fueron las familias de los Rubenitas: y sus contados fueron cuarenta y tres mil y siete cientos y treinta.

8 Eliab was a son of Pallu.

Y los hijos de Fallu: Eliab.

9 Eliab's sons were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These were the same Dathan and Abiram who followed Korah when they challenged Moses and Aaron and rebelled against Yahweh.

Y los hijos de Eliab: Namuel, y Datán, y Abirom. Estos Datán y Abirom fueron los del consejo de la congregación, que hicieron el motín contra Moisés y Aarón con la compañía de Coré, cuando se amotinaron contra Jehová;

10 The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah when all his followers died. At that time, fire devoured 250 men, who became a warning sign.

Que la tierra abrió su boca, y tragó a ellos y a Coré, cuando la compañía murió, que consumió el fuego doscientos y cincuenta varones: que fueron por señal.

11 But Korah's line did not die out.

Mas los hijos de Coré, no murieron.

12 The clans of Simeon's descendants were these: Through Nemuel, the clan of the Nemuelites, through Jamin, the clan of the Jaminites, through Jakin, the clan of the Jakinites,

Los hijos de Simeón por sus familias fueron de Namuel, la familia de los Namuelitas: de Jamín, la familia de los Jaminitas: de Jaquín, la familia de los Jaquinitas:

13 through Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites, through Shaul, the clan of the Shaulites.

De Zare, la familia de los Zareitas: de Saul, la familia de los Saulitas.

14 These were the clans of Simeon's descendants, who numbered 22,200 men.

Estas fueron las familias de los Simeonitas, veinte y dos mil y doscientos.

15 The clans of Gad's descendants were these: Through Zephon, the clan of the Zephonites, through Haggi, the clan of the Haggites, through Shuni, the clan of the Shunites,

Los hijos de Gad por sus familias: de Sefoni la familia de los Sefonitas: de Aggi, la familia de los Aggitas: de Suni, la familia de los Sunitas:

16 through Ozni, the clan of the Oznites, through Eri, the clan of the Erites,

17 through Arod, the clan of the Arodites, through Areli, the clan of the Arelites.

18 These were the clans of Gad's descendants, who numbered 40,500 men.

19 Judah's sons were Er and Onan, but these men died in the land of Canaan.

Los hijos de Judá: Er, y Onán; y murió Er, y Onán en la tierra de Canaán.

20 The clans of Judah's other descendants were these: through Shelah, the clan of the Shelanites, through Perez, the clan of the Perezites, and through Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites.

Y fueron los hijos de Judá por sus familias: de Sela, la familia de los Selaitas: de Fares, la familia de los Faresitas: de Zare, la familia de los Zareitas.

21 The descendants of Perez were these: Through Hezron, the clan of the Hezronites, through Hamul, the clan of the Hamulites.

Y fueron los hijos de Fares: de Jesrón, la familia de los Jesronitas: de Hamul, la familia de los Hamulitas.

22 These were the clans of Judah's descendants, who numbered 76,500 men.

Estas fueron las familias de Judá por sus contados, setenta y seis mil y quinientos.

23 The clans of Issachar's descendants were these: Through Tola, the clan of the Tolaites, through Puah, the clan of the Puites,

Los hijos de Isacar por sus familias: de Tola, la familia de los Tolaitas: de Pua, la familia de los Puanitas:

24 through Jashub, the clan of the Jashubites, through Shimron, the clan of the Shimronites.

De Jasub, la familia de los Jasubitas: de Semrán, la familia de los Semranitas.

25 These were the clans of Issachar, who numbered 64,300 men.

26 The clans of Zebulun's descendants were these: Through Sered, the clan of the Seredites, through Elon, the clan of the Elonites, through Jahleel, the clan of the Jahleelites.

Los hijos de Zabulón por sus familias: de Sared, la familia de los Sareditas: de Elón, la familia de los Elonitas: de Jalel, la familia de los Jalelitas.

27 These were the clans of the Zebulunites, who numbered 60,500 men.

Estas fueron las familias de los Zabulonitas por sus contados, sesenta mil y quinientos.

28 The clans of Joseph's descendants were Manasseh and Ephraim.

Los hijos de José por sus familias: Manasés, Efraím.

29 The descendants of Manasseh were these: through Makir, the clan of the Makirites (Makir was Gilead's father), through Gilead, the clan of the Gileadites.

Los hijos de Manasés: de Maquir, la familia de los Maquiritas: y Maquir engendró a Galaad: de Galaad, la familia de los Galaaditas.

30 Gilead's descendants were these: Through Iezer, the clan of the Iezerites, through Helek, the clan of the Helekites,

Estos fueron los hijos de Galaad: de Jezer, la familia de los Jezeritas: de Helec, la familia de los Helecitas:

31 through Asriel, the clan of the Asrielites, through Shechem, the clan of the Shechemites,

32 through Shemida, the clan of the Shemidaites, through Hepher, the clan of the Hepherites.

De Semida, la familia de los Semidaitas: de Hefer, la familia de los Heferitas.

33 Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons, but only daughters. The names of his daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah.

Y Salaad, hijo de Hefer, no tuvo hijos sino hijas: y los nombres de las hijas de Salfaad fueron Maala, y Noa, y Hegla, y Melca, y Tersa.

34 These were the clans of Manasseh, who numbered 52,700 men.

Estas fueron las familias de Manasés, y sus contados, cincuenta y dos mil y siete cientos.

35 The clans of Ephraim's descendants were these: Through Shuthelah, the clan of the Shuthelahites, through Beker, the clan of the Bekerites, through Tahan, the clan of the Tahanites.

Estos fueron los hijos de Efraím por sus familias: de Sutala, la familia de los Sutalaitas: de Bequer, la familia de los Bequeritas: de Tehén, la familia de los Tehenitas:

36 The descendants of Shuthelah were, by Eran, the clan of the Eranites.

Y estos fueron los hijos de Sutala: de Herán, la familia de los Heranitas.

37 These were the clans of Ephraim's descendants, who numbered 32,500 men. These were Joseph's descendants, counted in each of their clans.

Estas fueron las familias de los hijos de Efraím por sus contados, treinta y dos mil y quinientos. Estos fueron los hijos de José por sus familias.

38 The clans of Benjamin's descendants were these: Through Bela, the clan of the Belaites, through Ashbel, the clan of the Ashbelites, through Ahiram, the clan of the Ahiramites,

Los hijos de Ben-jamín por sus familias: de Bela, la familia de los Belaitas: de Asbel, la familia de los Asbelitas: de Aquiram, la familia de los Aquiramitas:

39 through Shephupham, the clan of the Shuphamites, through Hupham, the clan of the Huphamites.

40 Bela's sons were Ard and Naaman. From Ard came the clan of the Ardites, and from Naaman came the clan of the Naamites.

Y los hijos de Bela fueron Hered y Noemán: de Hered, la familia de los Hereditas: de Noemán, la familia de los Noemanitas.

41 These were the clans of Benjamin's descendants. They numbered 45,600 men.

Estos fueron los hijos de Ben-jamín por sus familias: y sus contados cuarenta y cinco mil y seiscientos.

42 The clans of Dan's descendants were, by Shuham, the clans of the Shuhamites. These were the clans of Dan's descendants.

Estos fueron los hijos de Dan por sus familias: de Suham la familia de los Suhamitas: estas fueron las familias de Dan por sus familias.

43 All the clans of the Shuhamites numbered 64,400 men.

Todas las familias de los Suhamitas por sus contados, sesenta y cuatro mil y cuatrocientos.

44 The clans of Asher's descendants were these: Through Imnah, the clan of the Imnites, through Ishvi, the clan of the Ishvites, through Beriah, the clan of the Beriites.

Los hijos de Aser por sus familias: de Jemna, la familia de los Jemnaitas: de Jessui, la familia de los Jessuitas: de Brie, la familia de los Brieitas.

45 The descendants of Beriah were these: Through Heber, the clan of the Heberites, through Malkiel, the clan of the Malkielites.

Los hijos de Brie: de Jeber, la familia de los Jeberitas: de Melquiel, la familia de los Melquielitas.

46 The name of Asher's daughter was Serah.

Y el nombre de la hija de Aser fue Sara.

47 These were the clans of Asher's descendants, who numbered 53,400 men.

Estas fueron las familias de los hijos de Aser por sus contados, cincuenta y tres mil y cuatrocientos.

48 The clans of Naphtali's descendants were these: Through Jahzeel, the clan of the Jahzeelites, through Guni, the clan of the Gunites,

Los hijos de Neftalí por sus familias: de Jesiel, la familia de los Jesielitas: de Guni, la familia de los Gunitas:

49 through Jezer, the clan of the Jezerites, through Shillem, the clan of the Shillemites.

De Jeser, la familia de los Jeseritas: de Sellem, la familia de los Sellemitas.

50 These were the clans of Naphtali's descendants, who numbered 45,400 men.

Estas fueron las familias de Neftalí por sus familias: y sus contados, cuarenta y cinco mil y cuatrocientos.

51 This was the complete count of men among the people of Israel: 601,730.

Estos fueron los contados de los hijos de Israel: Seiscientos mil y mil y sietecientos y treinta:

52 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,

Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

53 “The land must be divided among these men as an inheritance according to the number of their names.

A estos se repartirá la tierra en heredad por la cuenta de los nombres:

54 To the larger clans you must give more inheritance, and to the smaller clans you must give less inheritance. To every family you must give an inheritance according to the number of men who were counted.

A los más darás mayor heredad, y a los menos menor: a cada uno se le dará su heredad conforme a sus contados.

55 However, the land must be divided by random lots. They must inherit the land as it will be divided among their ancestors' tribes.

Empero la tierra será partida por suerte, y por los nombres de las tribus de sus padres heredarán.

56 Their inheritance must be divided among the larger and the smaller clans, distributed to them by random lot.”

Conforme a la suerte será partida su heredad entre el grande y el pequeño.

57 The Levite clans, counted clan by clan, were these: Through Gershon, the clan of the Gershonites, through Kohath, the clan of the Kohathites, through Merari, the clan of the Merarites.

Y los contados de los Levitas por sus familias fueron estos: de Gersón la familia de los Gersonitas: de Caat, la familia de los Caatitas: de Merari, la familia de los Meraritas.

58 The clans of Levi were these: the clan of the Libnites, the clan of the Hebronites, the clan of the Mahlites, the clan of the Mushites, and the clan of the Korahites. Kohath was the Amram's ancestor.

Estas fueron las familias de los Levitas: la familia de los Lebnitas, la familia de los Hebronitas, la familia de los Moholitas, la familia de los Musitas, la familia de los Coritas. Y Caat engendró a Amram.

59 The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born to Levites in Egypt. She bore to Amram their children, who were Aaron, Moses, and Miriam their sister.

Y la mujer de Amram se llamó Jocabed, hija de Leví, la cual nació a Leví en Egipto: esta parió de Amram a Aarón, y a Moisés, y a María su hermana.

60 To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Y de Aarón nacieron Nadab, y Abiú, Eleazar, e Itamar.

61 Nadab and Abihu died when they offered before Yahweh unacceptable fire.

Mas Nadab y Abiú murieron, cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante de Jehová.

62 The males who were counted among them numbered twenty-three thousand, all males one month old and up. But they were not counted among Israel's descendants because no inheritance was given to them among the people of Israel.

Y sus contados fueron veinte y tres mil, todos los varones de un mes y arriba: porque no fueron contados entre los hijos de Israel, por cuanto no les había de ser dada heredad entre los hijos de Israel.

63 These are the ones who were counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest. They counted the people of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

Estos fueron los contados por Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote, los cuales contaron los hijos de Israel en los campos de Moab junto al Jordán de Jericó.

64 But among these there was no man who had been counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when the descendants of Israel were counted in the wilderness of Sinai.

Y entre estos ninguno hubo de los contados por Moisés y Aarón el sacerdote que contaron a los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí.

65 For Yahweh had said that all of those people would certainly die in the wilderness. There was not a man left among them, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Porque Jehová les dijo: Muriendo morirán en el desierto: y no quedó varón de ellos, sino Caleb hijo de Jefone, y Josué hijo de Nun.
