Micah 1
1 This is the word of Yahweh that came to Micah the Morashtite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
La Palabra de Yavé que vino a Miqueas de Moreset, en días de Jotam, Acaz y Ezequías, reyes de Judá, lo que vio sobre Samaria y Jerusalén.
2 Listen, all you peoples. Listen, earth, and all that is in you. Let the Lord Yahweh be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
¡Escuchen, pueblos todos! Atiende, oh tierra, y lo que hay en ti. Sea ʼAdonay Yavé Testigo contra ustedes, desde su santo Templo.
3 Look, Yahweh comes out of his place; he will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.
Porque miren: Yavé sale de su lugar, descenderá y caminará sobre las alturas de la tierra.
4 The mountains will melt under him; the valleys will break apart, like wax before fire, like waters that are poured down a steep place.
Las montañas se derretirán debajo de Él como cera junto al fuego. Los valles se hendirán como agua derramada sobre una pendiente.
5 All this is because of the Jacob's transgression, and because of the sins of the house of Israel. What is Jacob's transgression? Is it not Samaria? What is Judah's high place? Is it not Jerusalem?
Todo esto sucederá por la transgresión de Jacob y por los pecados de la Casa de Israel. ¿Cuál es la rebelión de Jacob? ¿No es Samaria? ¿Y cuál es el lugar alto de Judá? ¿No es Jerusalén?
6 “I will make Samaria a heap of ruins in the field, a place for planting vineyards, and I will pour her stones down into the valley and I will uncover her foundations.
Pues convertiré a Samaria en una pila de ruinas en el campo abierto, tierra para plantar viñas. Rodaré sus piedras hacia el valle y dejaré sus cimientos al descubierto.
7 All her carved figures will be broken to pieces, and all her gifts that she received will be burned with fire, and I will destroy all her idols. Since she gathered her gifts from the wages of prostitutes, they will become the wages of prostitutes again.”
Todos sus ídolos serán destrozados, y todas sus ofrendas quemadas. Arrasaré todos sus ídolos porque los obtuvo como regalos de prostitutas, y volverán a regalos de prostitutas.
8 For this reason I will lament and wail; I will go barefoot and naked; I will wail like the jackals and mourn like owls.
Por eso tengo que lamentar y gemir, andar descalzo y desnudo y hacer un lamento como los chacales y un quejido como los avestruces.
9 For her wound is incurable, for it has come to Judah. It has reached the gate of my people, to Jerusalem.
Porque su llaga es incurable. Llegó a Judá porque llegó hasta la puerta de mi pueblo, a Jerusalén.
10 Do not tell about it in Gath; do not weep at all. At Beth Leaphrah I roll myself in the dust.
No lo anuncien en Gat, ni se entreguen al llanto. ¡Revuélcate en el polvo en Bet-le-afrá!
11 Pass by, inhabitants of Shaphir, in nakedness and shame. The inhabitants of Zaanan do not come out. Beth Ezel mourns, for their protection is taken away.
¡Pasa en vergonzosa desnudez, oh habitante de Safir! El habitante de Saanán no sale. Bet-esel llora y te quita su apoyo.
12 For the inhabitants of Maroth wait anxiously for good news, because disaster has come down from Yahweh to the gates of Jerusalem.
El habitante de Marot anhela ansiosamente el bien, pues de parte de Yavé bajó el mal hasta la puerta de Jerusalén.
13 Harness the chariot to the team of horses, inhabitants of Lachish. You, Lachish, were the beginning of sin for the daughter of Zion, for the transgressions of Israel were found in you.
¡Ata el carruaje a veloces corceles, oh habitante de Laquis! Allí comenzó el pecado de la hija de Sion. Allí se hallaron las transgresiones de Israel.
14 So you will give a parting gift to Moresheth Gath; the town of Akzib will disappoint the kings of Israel.
Por tanto, ustedes darán regalos a Moreset-gat, pues la casa de Aczib defraudó a los reyes de Israel.
15 I will again bring a conqueror to you, inhabitants of Mareshah; the splendor of Israel will come to Adullam.
Además, oh habitante de Maresa, traeré sobre ti al que toma posesión, y la nobleza de Israel se refugiará en Adulam.
16 Shave your head and cut off your hair for the children in whom you delight. Make yourself as bald as eagles, for your children will go into exile from you.
¡Rápate y trasquílate por los hijos de tus delicias! Ensancha tu calva como la del buitre, porque se irán de ti en cautiverio.
