< Matthew 24 >

1 Jesus went out from the temple and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
To pacoengah Jesu tasa bangah tacawt moe, tempul hoiah a caeh ving: anih han tempul im patuek hanah a hnukbang kaminawk angzoh o.
2 But he answered and said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone will be left on another that will not be torn down.”
Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Hae hmuennawk boih na hnuk o maw? Loktang kang thuih o, Maeto pacoeng maeto nuiah kamhong thlung maeto doeh haeah om mak ai, va o boih tih, tiah a naa.
3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (aiōn g165)
Anih Olive mae nuiah anghnut naah, a hnukbang kaminawk khue anih khaeah angzoh o moe, Hae hmuennawk hae natuek naah maw om tih, nang zohhaih atue hoi long boenghaih tue angmathaih loe kawbangmaw om tih? Na thui ah, tiah a naa o. (aiōn g165)
4 Jesus answered and said to them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.
Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Mi mah doeh aling han ai ah, acoe oh.
5 For many will come in my name. They will say, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray.
Kai ih ahmin hoiah paroeai kaminawk angzo o tih, Kai loe Kri, ni tiah thui o uele, paroeai kaminawk to aling o tih.
6 You will hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not troubled, for these things must happen; but the end is not yet.
Misa angkahhaih hoi misa angtukhaih loknawk to na thaih o tih: toe mawn o hmah: hae hmuennawk boih loe kaom han koi roe ni, toe boenghaih pha mak ai vop.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
Acaeng maeto hoi maeto misa angcoeng ueloe, prae maeto hoi maeto misa ah om tih: ahmuen kruekah takaang thohhaih, amtang amlaihaih hoi talihnawhaihnawk to om tih.
8 But all these things are only the beginning of birth pains.
Hae hmuennawk boih loe palungset amtonghaih ah ni oh vop.
9 Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you. You will be hated by all the nations for my name's sake.
Pacaekthlaek moe, paduek hanah minawk ban ah na paek o tih: kai ih ahmin pongah prae kaminawk boih mah na hnuma o tih.
10 Then many will stumble, and betray one another and hate one another.
To tiah oh pacoengah kapop kami loe oepthok ah khosah o mak ai, maeto hoi maeto angphat o taak ueloe, maeto hoi maeto ang hnuma o tih.
11 Many false prophets will rise up and lead many astray.
Angsah cop paroeai tahmaanawk angzo o ueloe, paroeai kaminawk to aling o tih.
12 Because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.
Zaehaih angpung pongah, paroeai kaminawk ih amlunghaih to amding tih.
13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Toe boeng khoek to pauep kami loe pahlonghaih hnu tih.
14 This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations. Then the end will come.
Acaeng kaminawk boih khaeah hnukung ah oh hanah, hae kahoih siangpahrang ukhaih prae tamthanglok hae long pum ah thuih ah om tih; to pacoengah ni boenghaih to pha vop tih.
15 Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (let the reader understand),
To pongah tahmaa Daniel mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, Hmuenciim ah kangdoe, panuet thok amrohaih hmuen na hnuk o naah, (kroek kami loe thaikophaih tawn nasoe: )
16 “let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,
Judea prae thungah kaom kaminawk loe mae nuiah cawn o nasoe:
17 let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house,
imphu ah kaom kami loe a imthung ih hmuen lak hanah anghum tathuk hmah nasoe:
18 and let him who is in the field not return to take his cloak.
lawk ah kaom kami loe a khukbuen lak hanah amlaem let hmah nasoe.
19 But woe to those who are with child and to those who are nursing infants in those days!
To na niah zokpomh nongpatanawk hoi tahnu nae nawkta tawn nongpatanawk loe khosak bing o!
20 Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or on a Sabbath.
Na cawnh o haih atue loe siktue hoi Sabbath niah phak han ai ah lawkthui oh:
21 For there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be again.
long oh tangsuek na hoi vaihi khoek to kaom vai ai, natuek naah doeh kaom han ai, paroeai kalen raihaih to om tih.
22 Unless those days are shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.
To ih aninawk to duemsak ai nahaeloe, mi kawbaktih doeh loih o mak ai: toe qoih ih kaminawk rang hoiah to ninawk to duemsak tih.
23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There is the Christ!' do not believe it.
To naah kawbaktih kami mah doeh, Khenah, Kri loe haeah oh, to tih ai boeh loe ho ah ni oh, tiah na thui o cadoeh, a thuih ih lok to tang o hmah.
24 For false Christs and false prophets will come and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
Angsah cop kri hoi angsah cop tahmaanawk to tacawt o ueloe, angcoeng thaih nahaeloe qoih ih kaminawk mataeng doeh aling hanah, kalen parai angmathaih hoi dawnrai hmuennawk to sah o tih.
25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
Khenah, Kang thuih o coek boeh.
26 Therefore, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out to the wilderness. Or, 'See, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
Kaminawk mah, khenah, anih loe praezaek ah ni oh, tiah na thui o cadoeh, caeh o hmah: khenah, anih loe tamquta hoi imthungah ni oh, tiah na naa o cadoeh, to lok to tang o hmah.
27 For as the lightning shines out from the east and flashes all the way to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Ni angyae bang hoiah ni aengh to tacawt moe, niduem bang khoek to aang baktih toeng ah, kami Capa angzoh naah doeh om toeng tih.
28 Wherever a dead animal is, there the vultures will gather.
Moi kadueh qok ohhaih ahmuen kruekah, tahmuu prawnnawk nawnto angpop o tih.
29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
To baktih paroeai raihaih ninawk oh pacoengah loe, ni to tahmuep tih, khrah loe aang mak ai boeh, cakaehnawk loe van hoiah krah o tathuk ueloe, van thacakhaihnawk to anghuen tih:
30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.
to pacoengah kami Capa angmathaih van ah amtueng tih: long nui ih acaengnawk boih qah o tih, thacakhaih hoi paroeai lensawkhaih hoiah van ih tamai nuiah angzo kami Capa to nihcae mah hnu o tih.
31 He will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Anih loe paroeai kalen mongkah lok hoiah angmah ih van kaminawk to patoeh tih, van boenghaih hae bang hoi ho bang khoek to, ahmuen takii palito bang hoiah a qoih ih kaminawk to nihcae mah nawnto pakhueng tih.
32 Learn a lesson from the fig tree. As soon as the branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
Vaihi thaiduetkung patahhaih maeto hae amtuk oh; a tanghang nuiah tadok tacawt moe, aqam tacawt naah, nipui tue loe zoi boeh, tiah na panoek o:
33 So also, when you see all these things, you should know that he is near, at the very gates.
to baktih toengah hae hmuennawk boih na hnuk o naah, atue loe zoi boeh, thok taengah ni oh boeh, tito panoek oh.
34 Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all of these things will have happened.
Loktang kang thuih o, Hae hmuennawk boih akoep ai karoek to, hae ih kaminawk hae anghmaa o mak ai.
35 Heaven and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Van hoi long anghmaa tih, toe Ka loknawk loe anghmaa mak ai.
36 But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
To ani hoi atue loe mi mah doeh panoek ai, van kaminawk mah doeh panoek ai, Kam pa khue mah ni panoek.
37 As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Kami Capa angzohhaih loe Noah dung nathuem ih ninawk baktiah om toeng tih.
38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark,
Long tuiuemhaih om ai nathuem hoi kamtong Noah palong thungah akun ai karoek to, nihcae loe naek o moe, caak o, zu lak o moe, zu raenghaih poih to a sak o,
39 and they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
tuiuemhaih pha ai karoek to tidoeh panoek o ai, to naah tui mah nihcae to lak boih, kami Capa angzoh naah doeh to tiah om toeng tih.
40 Then two men will be in a field—one will be taken, and one will be left.
Kami long hnetto lawk ah om hoi tih; maeto loe la ving ueloe, maeto loe caehtaak sut tih.
41 Two women will be grinding with a mill—one will be taken, and one will be left.
Nongpata hnik loe cangdaeng hoi tih; maeto loe la ving ueloe, maeto loe caehtaak sut tih.
42 Therefore be on your guard, for you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
Natuek naah maw na Angraeng angzo tih, tito na panoek ai, to pongah acoe hoiah zing ah.
43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what time of night the thief was coming, he would have been on guard and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
Toe hae hae panoek oh, im tawnkung mah natuek naah maw kamqu angzo tih, tiah panoek coek nahaeloe, anih mah kahoih ah toep ueloe, im to muksak mak ai.
44 Therefore you must also be ready, for the Son of Man will come at an hour that you do not expect.
To pongah nangcae doeh amsak o coek ah: kami Capa loe na poek o ai ih atue ah angzo tih.
45 So who is the faithful and wise servant whom his master has set over his household in order to give them their food at the right time?
To tiah nahaeloe atue phak naah nihcae buh pacah hanah, angmah ih Angraeng mah a imthung takoh nuiah ukkung ah suek ih, oep kaom moe, palungha tamna loe mi aa?
46 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find doing that when he comes.
Angmah ih angraeng angzoh naah, a mikhnuk ah toksah tamna loe tahamhoih.
47 Truly I say to you that the master will set him over everything that he owns.
Loktang kang thuih o, anih mah to tamna to angmah ih hmuennawk boih ukkung ah suem tih.
48 But if an evil servant says in his heart, 'My master has been delayed,'
Toe kahoih ai tamna loe angmah ih palung thungah, Ka Angraeng angzohhaih atue loe akra parai vop tih, tiah poek pongah,
49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eats and drinks with drunkards,
angmah ih ampui tamnanawk to boh moe, mu paqui kaminawk hoi nawnto naek caak o:
50 then the master of that servant will come on a day that the servant does not expect and at an hour that he does not know.
to tamna mah anih angzo tih boeh, tiah poek ai ih ni, panoek ai ih atue ah angmah ih angraeng to angzo nahaeloe,
51 His master will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
angmah ih angraeng mah a tamna to takroek pat ueloe, qahhaih hoi haakaekhaih ahmuen ah, angsah cop kaminawk hoi nawnto anih to va tih.
